ORAS NU Balanced Core+Flareon

Flareon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Grass]
^
[Now here is a really Innovative Set, it may have caught your attention that it is Special, this is so that this team can Handle Physical Walls as well and here's some thing you may like. Flamethrower OHKO's Sneasel without having to take Recoil damage in return for a KO, and Hidden power Grass also OHKO's Quagsire from full HP. Shadow Ball is for Ghost coverage that this team doesn't really appreciate. And Hyper Voice is for a Filler move so that it can just get some neutral effective damage off.]

Pelipper @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Scald
- Roost
- U-turn

^
[Pelipper is a pretty well balanced mon. Has Good Pivot support, as well as being a good defogger. Being Very Bulky taking both Physical and Special Hits pretty Nicely. Pelipper also has an amazing tool in "Scald", with scald you can fish for burns do some chip damage, or pick off a mon low on HP. The reason Pelipper is in this slot is for Defog, Recovery, Scald (Burn) Support, and a Pivot option.]

Regirock @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 196 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Thunder Wave
- Drain Punch

[Regirock is paired here with Pelliper as a they both cover each other quite well. Regirock is a bulky mon with great attacking power as well. It has Stealth rock for standard Hazards support, Thunder Wave to cripple remembers of the opposing team. It also has Stone edge to hit Mantine, Pelipper, other Flying Types etc. And Drain Punch for Recovery and coverage.]

Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Freeze-Dry
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Signal Beam

[Now here is a really fun Ice Cream cone, it is a great wall breaker with great coverage for the current NU Metagame. It has Ice Beam as a Hard hitting STAB move that really punches holes in the opposing Pokemon. It also has Freeze-Dry to pick off water-types trying to get a free switch in, Hidden power Ground is to cover the Fire and Steel weakness that Vanilluxe has, and Signal Beam allows you to hit Physic-type Pokemon pretty hard such as "Malamar, Uxie, Mesprit, Kadabra etc.]

Haunter @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

[Here is a standard Choice scarf Haunter, This mon is here to come in hit something Hard and switch out and repeat. This Haunter as Sludge Bomb for a strong STAB move as well as good coverage for Fairies such as "Mega-Audino and Granbull". It also has Shadow Ball for STAB and Ghost coverage, Energy ball is here to hit Ground Types and Deal heavy Damage to water types as well. And Lastly Dazzling Gleam is for Dark Types, Fighting Types (Since they typically carry Knock off), and the Rare Dragon Type mon.

Torterra @ Choice Band
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Crunch

  1. [This is Choice Banded Torterra, not much to say about it other than the fact that it hits really hard. It has Woodhammer as a "VERY" strong STAB move that hits very hard; weather it's super effective or not. Earthquake is also A STAB Move and Ground Coverage, which is necessary for every team. It also has Stone Edge so it can Hit those pesky flying type that give it trouble as well as Bug Types. And Crunch is here so it can Kill common psychics.

Hey Bro,

Nice team you have here. Specs Flareon is definitely something you don't see every day, even if its somewhat outclassed by ninetales, it still has a couple of nice niches to help you build around. A couple of things that I see with your team is that you are weak to the above listed mons. Samurott, if it is the more popular All Out Attacker Special Set really doesn't have any switch ins on your team. Sure you have a pelipper but it can't really touch Samu back, and there is always the chance hydro + ice beam 2hko after rocks, which is quite threatening to think of. You are also weak to Mega Audino. Scarf Haunter just doesn't hit hard enough to break the bulk of mega Audino, and if you decide to destiny bond it, you lose your main revenge killer and a crucial extra fighting check. Haunter is prone to being worn down easily too, so if Haunter accidentally faints or you make a risky double switch which didn't quite work out, you immediately lose your way of dealing with Mega Audino as well as other, less relevant fairies. You are Malamar weak for the above reason as well, uturn on pelipper barely scratches Malamar after it gets a free +2 in def, and your main way of stopping superpower (Haunter) is instantly bopt by a knock off. Now, with the banning of Magneton, I expect Klinklang to receive a huge boost in usage. Eventually, you will play a shift gears 3 attacks varients which will beat your main check in Pelipper, and if Torterra gets even slightly weakened (your gonna click wood hammer, let's be honest), Klinklang will just clean you up.

So, looking at your team, I really can't see what the point of vanilluxe is. It's not breaking any walls in particular that Flareon can't (hariyama gets them both), and, although it's a cool Mon, puts unnecessary pressure on your team to defog or double switch. What I suggest is replacing Vanilluxe which can't preform any duty defensively for your team, for a Mon that can aid you in walling the above Pokémon. I'm going to suggest a Mixed Defenses Ferroseed > Vanilluxe. Ferroseed allows you to have a solid check to 3 of the above mons (Samurott, Mega Audino and Klinklang), whilst giving your team some nice spikes and leech seed support. Ferroseed may perform an increasingly different role to Vanilluxe, but, it does manage to perform an important defensive duty, which needed to be fulfilled. I deemed the ice cream cone as your most expendable member.

After this, I see your team kinda lacks a win-condition and ofc, a lovely Malamar check. Personally, although Haunter is your main revenge killer, I don't see where he is going to come into play, and what he is going to revenge kill that the Mon I'm going to suggest can't do itself. I'm going to suggest Nasty Plot Colbur Berry Mismagius > Scarf Haunter because it gives you a much more solid Malamar check, a crucial win-condition, and a Mon with great speed that can replace that lost by Haunter. Not to mention this puts tonnes less pressure on Pelipper being your only (let's be honest) fighting resist, due to how frail Haunter really is. Mismagius can also break bulkier stall teams which you may happen to have trouble with thanks to Taunt, or you can alternatively run a coverage move.

Onto some stuff that generally helps the team. For Flareon, I suggest running Baton Pass > Shadow Ball, purely because shadow ball will never be clicked. stab flamethrower does pretty much the same damage as a super effective shadow ball, so you will find Baton Pass much more attractive in order to maintain offensive pressure. I would also consider changing the spread to 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Jolly Nature. This spread will allow you to beat base 75 Neutral Natured Mons such as Claydol whilst maintaining maximum special attack investment. Some other mons your outspeed include, Malamar, Modest Samurott, Adamant Barbaracle (no boosts), Rhydon and Torterra. I would also change the spread on Pelipper to 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA with a Bold Nature. This is purely so you take less from stealth rock on entry, since you are going to be doing that a lot. Since its your main defogger.

Anyway, cool team, I really like it ^.^
