Balance Hisuian Samurott, Booster Val Team

I've built a balance team built around Booster Valiant and Hisuian Samurott.

ceaseless (Samurott-Hisui) @ Focus Sash :Samurott-Hisui:
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Razor Shell
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
My typical lead is Samurott, in order to get hazards up w Ceaseless Edge or to knock an important item off their lead e.g. a Choice item or Heavy-Duty Boots on a :Zapdos:. I also have razor shell againt opposing frail leads e.g. :Enamorus: as I can Razor Shell and then finish it off with an Aqua Jet. Its' focus sash is also useful if there are no hazards up as it can revenge kill mons like :Great tusk: or :Gholdengo:.

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy :Iron Valiant:
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Encore
This set is mainly for the late game but it can also serve to stop setup from mons like :Baxcalibur: or even :Sneasler: It does sometimes feel bad to switch in once the booster is gone but there are perhaps defensive changes I can make to the team to ensure that happens less often. As aforementioned, I have lost quite a few games to Dragon Dance :Baxcalibur: but I'm not sure if there's a mon that can beat it by itself, barring maybe :Dondozo:. Tera Steel is for Dire Claw :Sneasler: and :Galarian Slowking: and Encore can serve as a way to set up in front of slower set up mons like :Dragonite:. Swords Dance for late game setup , Close Combat and Knock Off are a good pairing once all the Fairies are gone.

Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots :Cinderace:
Ability: Libero
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch
- Court Change
Cinderace is mainly here to not lose to dual screens or hazard spam. Pyro Ball is good damage against :Corviknight: and :Gholdengo:, U-Turn is for pivoting, Sucker Punch for offensive :Dragapult: and Court Change helps against hazards and screens. There are times where it can conflict with my own hazards put up with :Samurott Hisui: but my opponent usually has a spinner to remove them anyway.

Slowking-Galar @ Assault Vest :Slowking-Galar:
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 120 SpA / 120 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Surf
Galarian Slowking is a good counter to :Choice Specs: :Iron Valiant: or :Enamorus: and most other special attackers as well. Future Sight is good offensive pressure and forces a switch into their dark or steel types, Sludge Bomb is good STAB and can poison, Flamethrower for :Corviknight: and :Gholdengo: and Surf is for opposing ground types.

Enamorus @ Heavy-Duty Boots :Enamorus:
Ability: Cute Charm
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
:Enamorus: is good and often forces switches against leads like :Garchomp: and :Samurott-Hisui: . Knowing this, I decided to opt for a :Heavy-Duty Boots: Calm Mind set to punish switches more. Moonblast is good STAB, Earth Power hits mons like :Gholdengo: and :Slowking-Galar: that would switch into your Moonblast and Mystical Fire can hit :Corviknight: but I'm thinking about switching it to Psychic to hit more poison types and OHKO :Sneasler:. Tera Fairy for higher power Moonblasts.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers :Landorus-Therian:
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Earthquake
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
I needed a bulky Ground types so I decided to go with Landorus as it shores up my Electric and Ground weaknesses. Tera Water to flip my weaknesses into resistances.
Standard Earthquake for ground STAB and U Turn for pivoting. I run Grass Knot for a 2HKO on :Great Tusk: and I also run rocks because I didn't really like taunt too much.

Overall, this team works fine but I really do struggle against Baxcalibur in particular. Any suggestions to improve this team is appreciated.

Hey cool team, some suggestions:

I would go Tera Dark on Iron Valiant to really give Knock Off that power to OHKO certain things without needing to Swords Dance:

252 Atk Tera Dark Iron Valiant Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 16 Def Slowking-Galar: 374-444 (94.9 - 112.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Tera Dark Iron Valiant Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo: 332-392 (105.3 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gholdengo and Glowking are some common switchins so it really helps without needing to overpredict and overall defensively blocks Psyshock spam.

I think Will-O-Wisp isn't a bad option on Cinderace even on the offensive set, maybe consider Wisp > Sucker Punch, I don't think Dragapult will be that problematic at least the choice specs variants because of Glowking. Clear Body Dragapult (Dragon Dance) seems like a gigantic threat once it goes up +1.

I think you should go (bulky) Kingambit > Landorus, this helps with your Baxcalibur problem with Sucker Punch / Iron Head as well as will stop 99% of Dragon Dance Dragapults, I recommend going a bulky set, so you're able to take on Earthquakes from Baxcalibur unboosted.

:kingambit:
Kingambit @ Leftovers
Ability: Supreme Overlord
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
Tera Type: Fairy
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

You don't need Stealth Rocks because you have Samurott as you're suicide lead just getting entry hazard up quickly (spikes).

For Enamorus I recommend fixing up the set a little bit so you can become more threatening (Substitute + Leftovers).

:Enamorus:
Enamorus @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Substitute

Substitute allows you to to block status as well as not needing to overpredict on the switch and start Calm Minding behind the substitute. Earth Power + Moon Blast hits everything (neutrally). Substitute + Calm Mind might be able to give you extra lives, just be careful with entry hazard because I went with leftovers for passive recovery > Heavy Duty Boots. It won't be a big deal since if you really needed to you can Court Change with Cinderace.

No other suggestions, really solid base! good luck on the ladder.
