Necrozma @ Leftovers
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 184 HP / 252 SpA / 72 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Autotomize
- Photon Geyser
- Power Gem
- Flash Cannon
Necrozma was the pokemon the team was built around. The set uses autotomize to double its mediocre speed and the takes advantage of its 127 Special Attack stat. The 72 speed investment allows necrozma to outspeed zeraora once it autotomizes and then the remaining evs are put into HP. Power Gem and Flash Cannon allow Necrozma to break pokemon such as mandibuzz and clefable .However it does not deal well with steel types such as aegislash and corviknight due to the type resisting all of its moves.
Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pyro Ball
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
Cinderace was added to help with the steel types that necrozma struggles with and also because its access to u-turn helps to get necrozma in. The heavy duty boots stop it from taking damage from rocks and allow it to function better against sticky webs, as it outspeeds the pokemon that rely on the speed drop. Sucker punch is the teams only form of priority and so I have to save cinderace from dying in matches versus pokemon like cloyster
Rotom-Wash @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Defog
- Will-O-Wisp
Rotom-Wash is here because I needed hazard control and a rain check. Rotom-W allows me to wisp on physical attackers making it easier to set up with necrozma and the volt switch allows for easier switch-ins to necrozma. The iapapa berry was here to allow some longevity but it always seems to get knocked off or Rotom dies before it activates. The iapapa berry could possibly be swtched for leftovers. The problem with rotom is it doesn't take fishious rend in rain at all.
Virizion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Leaf Blade
- Close Combat
I used Virizion as another breaker/cleaner like necrozma as it can set up on lots of bulky pokemon like toxapex and non body press ferrothorn. The sub really helps in matches versus a ditto as it can't come in and take the stat boosts unless something else breaks the sub first. This is the team member that seems to function the least and I was considering swapping it but I don't know what for.
Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Healing Wish
- Energy Ball
Choice Scarf Gardevoir was added as some speed control for the team and also it's healing wish is good utility as I can heal up one of the breakers to use again with this. Energy ball is here to help deal with bulky waters like seismitoad. I have also considered running trick instead of energy ball as it could help in the stall matchup and versus setup to stop both in their tracks
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost
Finally I added Corviknight, because Rotom wasn't always able to get a defog off, so I wanted someting bulkier and sometimes the breakers got copied by ditto and I needed a switch in. Corviknight fitted perfectly, also giving me another u-turner to get in necrozma and allowing me to switch in and beat excadrill much more easily. This pokemon could run iron head or body press instead of brave bird, but the steel stab is unnecessary as it beats fairies anyway and it can roost away the minor recoil that it takes.
