Aurorus proved itself to be a phenomenal wallbreaker during the course of ZUPL, making great use of the Meteor Beam and Power Herb combination; Meteor Beam not only OHKOes common offensive threats like Rotom, Skuntank, and Thievul, but it also sets up 2HKOs on defensive staples such as Clefairy and Wishiwashi. Refrigerate Hyper Voice nails Rock-resistant Pokemon such as Rhydon, Stunfisk, and Alolan Dugtrio. Freeze-Dry helps deal with Water-types such as Wishiwashi and Pyukumuku, while Earth Power hits Steel-types such as Klinklang and Perrserker. Aurorus can set Stealth Rock on common Defoggers like Articuno and Altaria or run Rock Polish to sweep teams late-game. Qwilfish is one of Aurorus's best partners, as it provides Spikes support and switches into Fighting-types that threaten to revenge kill Aurorus like Sawk and Gurdurr. Physical wallbreakers like Morpeko and Cinccino force in physical walls like Rhydon, Tangela, and Altaria, which Aurorus can take advantage of. Other special attackers like Rotom and Ninetales appreciate Aurorus's ability to weaken shared checks like Throh and Miltank.
