Assault Vest allows Toxapex to maximize its Special Attack EVs, letting it turn the tables on offensive Pokemon looking to exploit its passivity with Taunt or Substitute, while retaining excellent special bulk to check threats such as Choice Specs Dragapult, Walking Wake, Iron Moth, and Iron Valiant. Surf does a solid chunk of damage to common Toxapex switch-ins like Kingambit, physically defensive Corviknight, and Gholdengo and often 2HKOes Garganacl after Stealth Rock. Sludge Bomb has good coverage alongside it, dealing heavy damage to Fairy-types like Iron Valiant, Hatterene, and Azumarill while breaking Hydreigon's Substitute. Sludge Bomb's high chance to poison can be critical for crippling Rotom-W and Slowking in the long term. Infestation provides a nice source of chip damage while letting Toxapex trap and beat defensive threats, such as Amoonguss, Toxapex, Skeledirge, Clodsire, and bulky Volcarona, in conjunction with Acid Spray. Furthermore, Infestation prevents the opponent from double switching on Toxapex, enabling much safer plays. Instead of Acid Spray, Ice Beam works to offer more immediate damage against Clodsire, Dragonite, Dragapult, and Amoonguss. Tera Blast, with Tera Fighting, is also viable to nab surprise KOs on Kingambit and Roaring Moon, which might otherwise set up on it. However, Fairy is the most standard Tera type for Toxapex, allowing it to block Dragon-type attacks from Dragapult and Walking Wake.

Toxapex fits best on balance and bulky teams that appreciate its unique combination of bulk and power. Assault Vest Toxapex likes to pivot around aggressively and spread chip damage, thanks in part to Regenerator: entry hazard setters like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu can help it pressure opposing teams more, punishing opponents for switching out against it. Without either Haze or Toxic, Toxapex is vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Baxcalibur, Dragonite, and Roaring Moon, so Unaware Pokemon such as Dondozo and Skeledirge are excellent teammates. Since Assault Vest Toxapex's physical bulk is rather lacking, physically defensive Pokemon like Great Tusk, Dondozo, and Corviknight can offer much-needed switch-ins to the likes of Kingambit and Choice Band Roaring Moon. Toxapex can often struggle to make progress against bulkier teams due to its middling power and lack of Toxic, so it appreciates strong balance wallbreakers like Iron Valiant and Baxcalibur. Hydreigon deserves special mention as an excellent teammate, sharing near-perfect type synergy with Toxapex. Hydreigon checks key threats to Toxapex such as Armarouge, Kingambit, Baxcalibur, and Nasty Plot Gholdengo, and it can set up on bulkier Pokemon like defensive Great Tusk and Clodsire. In return, Toxapex can check Iron Valiant, Dragapult, and Greninja, which can threaten Hydreigon. Finally, Scream Tail is also a great partner, using Wish to extend Toxapex's longevity and having solid defensive synergy with it.

Although Toxapex boasts some of the best defensive stat and ability combinations in the OU tier, it's traditional reliance on status to make progress has become increasingly exploitable with the rise in Substitute and Taunt usage. Assault Vest (AV) allows Toxapex to invest maximally in Special Attack allowing its STAB moves to pack a respectable punch while still retaining excellent special bulk. We can assume our reader has some awareness of Toxapex's usual strengths and weaknesses and more concisely and indirectly refer to these weaknesses to avoid fluff. I would combine the first few sentences into something along the lines of "Assault Vest allows Toxapex to pack a respectable punch, letting it turn the tables on offensive Pokemon looking to exploit its passivity with Taunt or Substitute, while retaining excellent special bulk to check threats such as Choice Specs Dragapult, Walking Wake, and Iron Valiant." The rest of the EVs are dumped in HP to maximize overall bulk letting Toxapex easily tank hits from special attackers like Specs Dragapult, Walking Wake and Iron Valiant. max HP on Pex is self-explanatory, and the aforementioned threats are now covered With the Special Attack investment, fluff Surf does a solid chunk to Steel-types looking to switch into Toxic like Kingambit, Physical physically defensive Corviknight, and Gholdengo, doing roughly 30% damage generally we don't need to put exact calculations outside the realm of OHKO/2HKO/etc, and saying it does a solid chunk is sufficient here . Surf also and has a high chance of 2HKOing Garganacl after a round of Stealth Rock damage. Sludge Bomb rounds out the coverage well, dealing heavy damage to Fairy-types like Iron Valiant, Hatterene and Azumarill while also being capable of breaking Hydreigon's Substitute. Infestation provides a nice source of chip damage mention the benefits of trapping as well. while (separate into two sentences) Acid Spray can help force progress against the likes of Amoonguss and Clodsire by forcing switches mention the alternative of Ice Beam. Here you can put a sentence about the given EV spread and the relevant alternative spread of 248 HP / 224 SpA / 36 Spe (as seen in the sample), which outspeeds Arboliva and CM Hatt. Fairy is the most standard Tera type for Toxapex, allowing it to lose its Electric, Ground and Psychic weaknesses Also talk about how Tera Fairy helps Toxapex take on Dragon-types like Walking Wake, Baxcalibur, and Dragapult and take less damage from Salt Cure.

AV Toxapex fits best on offensive balance and bulky offense teams that appreciate its unique combination of bulk and power. Unlike its more passive sets, Assault Vest Toxapex functions more like a pivot that can tank hits while also forcing progress through reliable chip damage. Thus, it is quite important to play aggressively with intent the maximizing the chip damage. Combine these two sentences and make it relevant to what teammates can offer; for example, since AV Pex likes to pivot around aggressively and spread chip damage, entry hazard setters like Ting-Lu can help it apply more pressure to the opposing team. Without access to either Haze or Toxic, Toxapex is vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Volcarona, Dragonite, and Calm Mind Iron Valiant can break Toxapex, so Unaware pokemon such as Dondozo and Skeledirge are excellent teammates. While Assault Vest can shore up Toxapex's special bulk, its uninvested physical bulk is rather lacking. Therefore, As Assault Vest Toxapex's physical bulk is lacking, physically defensive pokemon like Great Tusk and Corviknight can offer much needed switch-ins to the likes of Kingambit and Roaring Moon. Without access to Toxic, AV Toxapex can struggle to make progress against fatter bulkier builds due to its middling power and lack of Toxic, and therefore appreciates being paired with strong balance breakers like Iron Valiant, Choice Band Meowscarada, and Baxcalibur. Hydreigon deserves special mention as an excellent teammate, sharing near perfect type synergy with Toxapex while being able to dismantle balanced cores with Substitute and Nasty Plot.

Sludge Bomb rounds out the coverage well, dealing heavy damage to Fairy-types like Iron Valiant, Hatterene and Azumarill while also being capable of breaking Hydreigon's Substitute. Mention its poison chance and how its important for Rotom-Wash and Slowking. Infestation provides a nice source of chip damage while also allowing Toxapex to trap and dent key threats. Name those threats, ex. Amoonguss, opposing toxapex (paired with acid spray). Also mention it gives you insurance that your opponent cannot double out letting you generally play much safer. Acid Spray can help force progress against the likes of Amoonguss, opposing AV Toxapex and Clodsire by forcing switches though alternatively Ice Beam offers more immediate damage. Talk about how Acid Spray can pair very well with infestation allowing you to force kills on these things. Fairy is the most standard Tera type for Toxapex, allowing it to lose its Electric, Ground and Psychic weaknesses. Mention Tera Blast here as an option. Fighting beats kingambit (which can otherwise get an SD up), and roaring moon (which you mention is a threat later on), and lets you take less from salt cure in a pinch.

Since Assault Vest Toxapex's physical bulk is rather lacking, physically defensive pokemon like Great Tusk and Corviknight can offer much needed switch-ins to the likes of Kingambit and Choice Band Roaring Moon. Neither of these things are actually reliable switchins to Roaring Moon since it can just DD up. Specifying CB roaring moon works here but make sure to mention that Dondozo is very important in handling DD roaring moon. Toxapex can often struggle to make progress against bulkier builds due to its middling power and lack of Toxic, and therefore appreciates being paired with strong balance breakers like Iron Valiant, Choice Band Meowscarada, and Baxcalibur. Choice Band Meowscarada isn't really a good teammate because it often gives those setup sweepers that threaten Toxapex free turns to setup. Hydreigon deserves special mention as an excellent teammate, sharing near perfect type synergy with Toxapex while being able to dismantle balanced cores with Substitute and Nasty Plot. I believe mentioning that Pex handles Valiant, Dragapult and Greninja specifically is a great application of why hydrei and pex are such good teammates.

Finally, you should mention Scream tail as a teammate as wish support lets it stay alive longer and not miss recover as much and they cover weaknesses fairly well.

Edit: you should also mention what specifically hydreigon deals with for pex (checks Armarouge, Kingambit, Baxcalibur, NP Rotom), generally a safe switchin to defensive tusk EQ, walls clodsire behind a sub/if tera etc...

Sludge Bomb's high chance to poison can be critical for crippling Rotom-W and Slowking in the long term. (You dont need to explain stab attacks. Consider if its needed) The Infestation provides a nice source of chip damage while also allowing Toxapex to trap and dent key threats such as Amoonguss, Toxapex and Clodsire especially in conjunction with Acid Spray. Furthermore Infestation prevents the opponent from double switching on Toxapex, thereby enabling much safer plays. Alternatively (This reads like you would run Ice Beam over Infestation instead of over Acid Spray) Ice Beam can offer more immediate damage against Clodsire, Dragonite, Dragapult, and Amoonguss. Fairy is the most standard Tera type for Toxapex, allowing it to lose its Electric, Ground and Psychic weaknesses. (This is just type chart and the explanation isnt there. Tera Normal also removes the weaknesses for example. Instead mention that Tera Fairy lets it take on Dragon-type attacks from Dragapult, Walking Wake) However, Tera Fighting is also a viable option which in combination with Tera Blast allows Toxapex to nab surprise KOs on Kingambit and Roaring Moon which might otherwise set up on it.

Work in an explanation for Acid Spray letting you beat walls such as Skeledirge (of course in conjunction with Infestation). I would in fact add the Volcarona mention alongside Acid Spray instead of at the start of the paragraph, since without it defensive Volcarona just sets up in front of you)

Toxapex fits best on balance and bulky teams that appreciate its unique combination of bulk and power. Since Assault Vest Toxapex likes to pivot around aggressively and spread chip damage, entry hazard setters like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu can help it apply more pressure towards opposing teams. Without either Haze or Toxic, Toxapex is vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Volcarona (In the first paragraph you mentioned that you check Volcarona), Baxcalibur, Dragonite, and Calm Mind Iron Valiant (you do about as well against it since you have Sludge Bomb to directly threaten it), so Unaware Pokemon such as Dondozo and Skeledirge are excellent teammates. Since Assault Vest Toxapex's physical bulk is rather lacking, physically defensive Pokemon like Great Tusk, Dondozo, and Corviknight can offer much-needed switch-ins to the likes of Kingambit and Choice Band Roaring Moon. Toxapex can often struggle to make progress against bulkier builds due to its middling power and lack of Toxic, and therefore appreciates being paired with strong balance breakers like Iron Valiant and Baxcalibur. Hydreigon deserves special mention as an excellent teammate, sharing near-perfect type synergy with Toxapex. Hydreigon checks key threats to Toxapex such as Armarouge, Kingambit, Baxcalibur, Nasty Plot Rotom-W (This set is not in the dex, better to remove it for consistency. Try adding Gholdengo instead) while also being able to set up on bulkier Pokemon like defensive Great Tusk and Clodsire. In return, Toxapex can check Iron Valiant, Dragapult, and Greninja, which can threaten Hydreigon. Finally, Scream Tail also acts as a great partner for Toxapex, being able to use Wish to extend Toxapex's longevity and has solid defensive synergy with Toxapex.
