[ASBuddies - Semi Final 2] Team TBD vs Team deadFrost

Burd: Ahhh! Cough! Cough! Where are we McKrow?

McKrow: I think we are back in ASB Arena.

Burd: How is that possible? And where is Mewtwo?

McKrow: I am not sure. My head hurts!

Burd: Mine too! I feel dizzy @_@ *pukes*

Referee: ._.

McKrow: What is going on ref?

Referee: Uhhh! You are drunk is a possible explanation?

McKrow: I ... Nvm.

Burd: We are drunk? well that explains it! No wonder we were having dreams of Mewtwo.

McKrow: *thinks* It felt so real.

Burd: Hmm let us start the battle already, because we can't let the audience wait.

McKrow: You are right. TBD vs deadFrost. Who would have imagined to see TBD here.

Burd: That fire gym leader, who is lost in the woods all the time, did mention that TBD qualifying wouldn't be an upset.

McKrow: Well it is not really an upset. But tbh, I expected Ban Hammer to be here. Anyways, would you do the honors?

Burd: Sure thing! So TBD, which comprises of a Water Gym Leader and a Flying Gym seeker, have brought the types that they like the most. Or is it because they wanted to train these pokemon for their qualifiers? Hmm could be either way. But the skill ninja is known to trouble a lot of teams, Team BanHammer including. I am surprised, as a pokemon which was considered average, has outperformed the most powerful in this tournament. Sui-Ren would definitely give deadFrost a lot of trouble, that is if he is played right.

McKrow: Hilda and Woosh can take care of him to an extent.

Burd: I am not sure, I think paralyzing him would be a strategy. But lets see ...

McKrow: Stallord and Glow could be deadFrost's winners, just like last game.

Burd: Ah! Yes I saw that match on TV. The pressure exerted was real! Too much for the noobs I think.

McKrow: Well not so much, they had it coming their way.

Burd: I guess so. Although, this is the first round that deadFrost would be facing an opponent of decent experience and skill. I sure hope that they don't choke at such a crucial game.

McKrow: Tbh, all games in this tournament are crucial. Single Elimination is the way to go.

Burd: I digress, but I wouldn't complain.

Referee: The battle Gentlemen?

Burd: Yes of course, so there we have the Tournament hosts in the Arena making the introduction of the trainers and now they are going to Toss the Coin. Ohhh! A Brazilian Real! That is neat!

McKrow: Heads it is! TBD would get second order.

Burd: That doesn't mean a thing tbh, its all skill and we shall soon find out.

McKrow: *shrugs*

Gardevoir [Guinevere] (F)
Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)
Type: Psychic/Fairy
Psychic: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.
Fairy: Fairy STAB: -1 EN on non-Fairy typed Nature, Sound, and Scent moves (Stacks with second STAB where applicable). (Nature Power, Natural Gift; Sound Moves; Aromatherapy, Odor Sleuth, Sweet Scent)

Abilities:

Synchronize: (Passive)

Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison-types cannot be poisoned and Fire-types cannot be burned in this manner.
Trace: (Trigger)

When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions. Trace can be reused with an action later in battle for 5 EN. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.

Telepathy (DW Unlocked): (Passive)

This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.

Pixilate (Mega): (Toggle)

By default, this Pokemon's Normal-type moves are Fairy-type moves, and have an additional two (2) BAP boost. When toggled, this Pokemon's Normal-type attacks have their BAP increased by two (2). Only Normal-typed moves changed by Pixilate receive this boost, and not all Fairy-type moves. If a Pokemon has been skill-swapped multiple abilities that change Normal-type attacks, the attacks become dual-typed, but the BAP boosts of the abilities do not stack.

S0L1D G0LD P2X7 I'd understand the delay if you needed to order but this is just choosing two mons to be sent out. Come on.

FROSTYEDIT: Consider this a DQ Warning. Personally I don't intend to be patient here, so don't push it?

Risking being hypocrite (well I am kinda that -_-), I ask for a little leeway. We are pretty much done with orders, but my opportunities to really dedicate time into analysing stuff are few and far between, so our discussion moves in a...slow pace. Timezones don't help either. Nor the fact that we are ordering first again.

Should have stuff up by tommorow.

I was on camping without no connection from friday to sunday if that explains anything. Should have included that on the LoA though.

Icy Wind - Bounce (Tomohawk-Deadfox) - Gunk Shot (Tomohawk-Deadfox)
If Greninja would not obtain flying type STAB's non-en lowering traits by using Bounce, use Gunk Shot (Tomohawk-Deadfox) a2, Ice Beam (Tomohawk-Deadfox) a3.

Eh, sub is most likely illegal, and it could have that effect anyway, but I could be wrong.

Round 1: Damage Racing and Spread Moves:
Team deadFrost came into the battle at a disadvantage, and were furious over the Toss not going their way, even once, during the tourney. However the extensive number of rolls that both the teams went for, brought in the random factor into effect that went slightly towards TBD. They did not get any major status and their resulting effects, but they got three crits. One of which, definitely mattered.
The battle starts with both teams sending out their Intimidating pokemon Saber and Woosh. Since TBD were sending out first they sent for Sui-Ren who is always difficult to order first against and deadFrost chose Hilda as their other send out.

Sui-Ren got lucky right of the bat as he landed a critical hit on Woosh (definitely mattered) with an Icy Wind, with which he planned to ensure that Saber would outspeed Woosh for the rest of the battle. Woosh won the speed tie and both him and Saber swung their wings sharply to create a wind shear that swept both the teams. Hilda however showed a Dazzling Gleam of light to her opponents.

Sui-Ren then Bounced up to abuse the substitutions of Woosh and Hilda, by making use of the Flying Stab's unique effects that hit through damaging evasive moves in the air. Sui-Ren and Saber double team on Woosh and fail to paralyze him on both instances, while Woosh Flew into Saber to hit super effectively.

Sui-Ren then threw a disgusting mass of Gunk on Woosh, as Saber swung his wings yet again to create a wind shear that ripped the feathers off of Woosh. Woosh went down right before he could do the same to Sui-Ren and Saber, while Hilda was left to show her opponents the power of some Dazzling Flash of light.

There is a lot of pressure on deadFrost, after that KO; and they would need some decent luck through the rest of the battle to pull through in the end. It is quite possible if they stay focused, and pull out some gr8 plays; everything depending on their next send out. A play that could set their team towards victory or towards a cascading effect that could bring an end to their run.

Sorry, loa and things came up to block my time for this.

Gunk Shot (Gardevoir) - Hydro Pump (Gardevoir) - Scald (Gardevoir)
If your target is under the effects of a successful p/e move when you would act, target your other foe with Hidden Power on the first and third instances, and Hydro Pump on the second, pushing back in each case.
If Lucario uses Follow Me, use Hidden Power that action and push back.
If you are targeted by Encore and your last action was Gunk Shot and Lucario is set to use Follow Me a1/a2, use Dodge that action.
If your target has fainted when you would act, start action chain Hidden Power - Hydro Pump - Hidden Power (other foe) .

Heat Wave - Air Cutter - Heat Wave
IF your third substitution activates, AND Lucario uses Quick Guard that action, use Aura Sphere (Lucario) that action instead.
IF Gardevoir uses Disable (Greninja) (Gunk Shot), AND you move before it, AND you are not Taunted, AND it is not Taunted, AND Taunt is not Imprisoned, use Taunt (Gardevoir) that action instead. This substitution defers to all other substitutions.
KO Sub: IF Gardevoir is KO'd when you would act, use Aura Sphere (Lucario) that action instead.

Round 2: And that is Game!
Team deadFrost took hax by its horns and shoved up its Ar**. They literally sealed the battle with their play this round. And all they have to do is avoid choke to win this battle.
The round starts with Saber hoping to survive and slaughtered right off the bat with a powerful Giga Impact by Glow who was given a timely helping hand by Hilda. The haxy Sui-Ren poisoned Hilda with the mass of Gunk, but the loss of his partner would haunt him for the rest of his time in the battle.

Hilda wasted no time in swapping the Haxy Ninja's ability to Glow and taking Inner Focus instead, which is a very good choice in doubles battles; and may prove quite useful in this battle too. Glow then wrecked the Ninja who had plagued their team for so long, who in turn was crippled so much that his attacks were doing almost nothing to Hilda.

Hilda then gave Sui-Ren a shocker as Glow healed her up a bit to endure the next round, while Sui-Ren was doing some pathetic damage to Hilda.

The battle looks all set for deadFrost to bring it home with Extreme Speed, and except for that poison on Hilda it was a perfect round to Team deadFrost.

Handbook on unspecified target said:
Either way, if there is more than one target to choose from, you must specify which Pokemon you are aiming the move at, otherwise the ref will have to use a random number generator to determine which Pokemon out of all the available targets (including allies but not the user) will be the target of the move.

*I don't see Aura Sphere falling into the exceptions, if there is anything else to consider then please let me know.

Round 3: The Struggle is real!
Team deadFrost are slowly leaning over the opposition, and are walking away with the game as expected. One thing that was unexpected was the Dodge, will it matter? Lets wait and see
The round starts with Sui-Ren hoping to survive and he does so by a whisker.

Hilda and Glow were all set to mow over both Guinevere and Sui-Ren, but they managed to get only one of them between the two.

If only the Aura Sphere was targeted to its rightful target in Sui-Ren, then this round would have paved way for a final round of this battle.

It definitely doesn't look good for the referee, who has never brought any good luck to Frosty for quite a while. He better change is RNG for a new one. Sources say that he might revert back to Random.org for the next few rounds of this battle.
