Since the amount of anspirant challengers of the Raid Zone is far superior to my expectations, I decided to look for 2 more referees to help me handle a greater number of raids than what I can do by myself. However, I won't allow the fist inexperienced newbie to take on this task, so here are the requirements you must meet if you want to be a Raid Referee (not in order of importance):
1) Writing Style: A good raiding ref must be written in a way people will enjoy to read. Raids are meant to be epic challenges, and the narration should reflect that. You must have a good lexical knowledge, to make the narration fluid and enjoyable rather than repetitive and poor.
2) Raid Experience: It's important that raid referees already know what raids are about. Reffing a raid is really different from reffing a battle in the Subway or any other RP place. Raid experience is required to make sure you know how raid encounters are played out.
3) Efficiency: I expect each raid referee to be able to hold 3 to 4 raids at once, being able to referee them at least once every 24 hours. I'm doing this with 8 raids, so I think I'm not asking anything impossible.
Here is instead something which is not required to be a good raid referee:
Battling Skill: Reffing a raid has nothing to do with your skills as a battler. There is not a single instance where the raid referee will actually make a decision, as everything he does will be rolling repeteadly to know which attacks to use, which targets to aim for, and so on. Everything is scheduled - think of yourself as the CPU which runs the program "raid".
That's not to say battling skill is frowned upon, but rather that it's not relevant for my choice.
And that's it. Anyone who wishes to sign up should post some links to prove the above 3 points (the more the better, but keep it reasonable - I'm not reading 10 battles for each sign up), plus a description of yourself trying to persuade me you would be the best choice.
The two people which will be chosen will go under a sort of "tutor" stage with me, where I'll explain them the basics of raid reffing (like the threat formula, the rules for attack choice, and so on). The only difference between me and other raid referees will be that raid referees will still be able to raid, but they will be able to referee only raids which have been completed at least once (for example, Wildfire Plateau). Besides that, there will not be any difference. Heck, the best raid ref will be the one which behaves exactly like I do mechanics-wise.
Good luck. I'll keep Sign Ups open for 5 days (so, until July 12th).
