Arcanine @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Raging Fury

What the dog doin'? Arcanine leverages its high Attack, decent bulk with Intimidate, and powerful priority to be one of PU's best wallbreakers and revenge killers! Flare Blitz notably has a chance to 2HKO tier staples like Bellibolt, Mudsdale, and Cramorant. Close Combat, meanwhile, gives Arcanine a way to threaten would-be switch-ins like Rhydon, Coalossal, and Rotom-H. Extreme Speed is notable for, especially with the damage boost from Tera Normal, picking off faster foes like Floatzel, Pawmot, and Salazzle. Raging Fury is a Flare Blitz alternative that avoids recoil and ignores Rocky Helmet from Bellibolt and Aftermath from Skuntank. Arcanine appreciates hazard control from teammates like Altaria, Tatsugiri, and Alolan Sandslash, allowing it to hit the field repeatedly to dish out powerful damage. Likewise, slower pivots like Bellibolt and Uxie are also appreciated for their ability to take a hit from foes like Paldean Tauros-F and bring Arcanine in for free.

What the dog doin'? Arcanine leverages its high Attack, decent bulk boosted by Intimidate, and access to powerful priority to be one of PU's best wallbreakers and revenge killers!. Flare Blitz notably 2HKOs tier staples like Bellibolt, Florges, and Golurk (i'd rather you mention mudsdale and cramorant over golurk and florges, muds and cram are good at annoying curse arc and get blown up trying to switch into it. golurk is a little annoying for curse, but less so, while florges is most commonly scarf and gets ohkoed anyway.). Close Combat, meanwhile, gives Arcanine a way to threaten would-be switch-ins like Rhydon, Coalossal, and Rotom-Heat. Extreme Speed is notable for, especially with the damage boost from Tera Normal, picking off weakened speedsters like Floatzel, Pawmot, and Salazzle. Finally, Raging Fury is an alternative to Flare Blitz that avoids recoil and bypasses Houndstone's Fluffy to OHKO it, at the cost of locking into the move (ignoring rocky helmet and aftermath from belli, skunk, etc is generally more important rn than houndstone rn.). Arcanine strongly appreciates hazard control from teammates like Altaria, Tatsugiri, and Sanshlash-Alola, allowing it to hit the field repeatedly to dish out powerful damage. Likewise, slower pivots like Bellibolt and Uxie are also appreciated for their ability to take a hit (mention an example of smth like redbull they tank a hit from.) and bring Arcanine in for free.
