While I'm very new to Anything Goes and the types of strategies of the tier, I decided to throw together a very overpowered team of extremely overpowered Pokemon. While trying to build a Rayquaza sweep team, I found that two Pokemon were much better; Zekrom and Gyarados. I thought, however, that Gyarados was more familiar to me and could be more useful in the long run.

Ability: Delta Stream
252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Sp Atk
Lonely Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Ascent
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
The original lead and base of the team, Rayquaza is undoubtedly a very strong Pokemon that can put in work in any better you may call on it. Dragon Ascent and Outrage are possibly the strongest moves among Quaza's arsenal and can obliterate many Pokemon. Draco Meteor is a move to resort to when facing Pokemon bulkier in defense but not as specially defensive. The only non-STAB move, Stone Edge, is for the ice types that plague Rayquaza. While I do not usually see Ice-types as much in AG, they are still a threat to Quaza.
ur not my dad (Kangaskhan) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Parental Bond
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Jolly Nature
- Drain Punch
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
- Fake Out
Kangaskhan was not my original choice for a mega on my team, as Gyarados was planned to take that spot, or even Blaziken. However, when I remembered Parental Bond was a thing, I dove on it as fast as I could. All of it's moves are moderately powerful, and moves like Drain Punch shut down Sashed Smeargle, which is not an uncommon thing for me. While an Adamant nature would admittedly come farther in the end, Jolly makes it a fast threat to most quick sweepers.
usain bolt (Zekrom) @ Choice Band
Ability: Teravolt
252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
- Zen Headbutt
My third and final choice for a base Poke for a team, Zekrom was and still is a slower sweeper, which is where the 252 HP EVs come in. Zek can come into a battle and change the tone and the momentum. One Bolt Strike has OHKO'd a Mega-Mence, which made me happy enough to keep it on the team, because I considered switching for Reshiram. Zekrom is the second most valuable and possibly the strongest Pokemon on the team.
poltergeist (Darkrai) @ Leftovers
Ability: Bad Dreams
252 Sp Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Void
- Nightmare
- Dream Eater
- Focus Blast
Even though Darkrai's set-up with Dark Void breaks away from the quick offensive approach with the rest of the team, it does give a nice sense of strength other than physicality of the other Pokemon. It has the 4 Speed EVs and the Timid Nature to make sure it can outspeed other Darkrai and beat them to a Dark Void and eliminate them with a Focus Blast. Darkrai gives a sense of balance to the team.
pretty much god (Arceus-Steel) @ Iron Plate
Ability: Multitype
252 Atk / 252 Sp Atk / 4 Spe
Rash Nature
- Judgment (Steel)
- Swords Dance
- ExtremeSpeed
- HP Water
Arceus was a last second choice, and while a non-defensive steel type on the team can be counter-productive, Swords Dance and ExtremeSpeed pair to be a great offensive sweeping pair as a back-back- back-up to Gyarados, Zekrom, and Mega-Khan. While it's moveset + EV spread may be unconventional or poor, it still can pack a punch.
noodlehead (Gyarados) @ Choice Band
Ability: Moxie
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
Ah, the lead and best Pokemon on the team. Gyarados's move set is probably my favorite thing about it, as it utilizes Gyara's great move pool to eliminate weaknesses. Although most people would make a Mega-Dos with an Adamant nature, I decided to dominate with high speed to back up the insane attack stat it has. Moxie, once this thing gets going, becomes a crucial part of this sweeper and can KO big walls that can threaten like Snorlax or Ferrothorn, both of which I have OHKO'd or nearly OHKO'd.
If the team needs any changes, please feel free to tell me of them so I can change the team and make it better!
