[SET COMMENTS]
Amoonguss is the tier's sole defensive user of Spore, as can stick around and put foes to sleep throughout a match. Giga Drain affords Amoonguss extra longevity, which is particularly helpful because Regenerator often cannot keep up with the damage that Amoonguss takes. However, Grass Knot hits foes like Dondozo, Garganacl, and Ting-Lu harder. Clear Smog removes the boosts of setup sweepers like Dragonite, Dragon Dance Dragapult, and Bulk Up Great Tusk. Foul Play, on the other hand, gives Amoonguss a way to pressure Dragapult immediately while still punishing physical setup sweepers. Rocky Helmet lets Amoonguss punish U-turn users like Meowscarada and Scizor, but Covert Cloak is a valid option to check Garganacl more easily. Tera Water Amoonguss checks Cinderace and Baxcalibur, while Tera Fire Amoonguss can use Clear Smog safely on Tera Grass Volcarona and Tera Fire Breloom at the cost of becoming weak to Ground-types like Great Tusk. Maximum HP investment with 84 SpD prevents a 2HKO from Choice Specs Dragapult's Shadow Ball; the rest of the investment is poured in Defense to better check Great Tusk.

Amoonguss is best utilized on balance teams that appreciate it taking a foe out of commission with Spore. Gholdengo and Dragapult greatly appreciate this as well as Amoonguss's ability to check Ting-Lu. Cinderace and Kingambit are other good offensive teammates that appreciate Amoonguss threatening Dondozo. Because Amoonguss relies mostly on Regenerator for its recovery, entry hazard removal in the form of Great Tusk or Iron Treads is key; Great Tusk also checks Cinderace, while Iron Treads can help deal with Gholdengo. Even though Amoonguss has the ability to check some setup sweepers with Clear Smog, it is best to pair it with an Unaware teammate like Skeledirge or Dondozo, which can handle Pokemon like Tera Flying Roaring Moon and Baxcalibur much more effectively. Pokemon like Dragonite and Choice Band Roaring Moon also make for good partners, as Amoonguss is one of the best Iron Valiant checks.

Giga Drain affords Amoonguss extra longevity, which is particularly helpful because Amoonguss often foregoes using Heavy-Duty Boots; however, Grass Knot is an option that hits Dondozo and Garganacl harder. Clear Smog is useful to wipe away the boosts of setup sweepers like Dragonite, Iron Valiant, Volcarona Volcarona beats Amoonguss, Breloom You just click Sludge Bomb on Breloom, and if it's tera then its clicking Tera Fire Tera Blast., and Bulk Up Great Tusk. Foul Play, on the other hand, gives Amoonguss a way to pressure Gholdengo and Dragapult while still punishing physical setup sweepers like Baxcalibur and Cinderace Baxcalibur beats Amoonguss and Cinderace isn't a setup sweeper, can mention physical attackers that Foul Play hits generally, such as Dragonite once Amoonguss Terastallizes. I get why you talked about Volcarona, Breloom, and Baxcalibur because once Amoonguss terastallizes it can actually check them, but I would save those mentions for when you talk about tera. Rocky Helmet lets Amoonguss punish U-turn users pivots like Meowscarada and Scizor, but Covert Cloak is a valid option to allow Amoonguss to more easily check Garganacl. A Water Tera type allows Amoonguss to check Cinderace and Azumarill this is where you can talk about Cinderace, and Baxcalibur more effectively, while a Fire Tera type lets it beat use Clear Smog safely on Tera Grass Volcarona, and Breloom at the cost of becoming weak to Ground-types like Great Tusk. Maximum HP investment with 172 Defense EVs and a Bold nature allows Amoonguss to survive one Ice Spinner from Choice Band Azumarill after Stealth Rock, and the rest of its EVs are dumped into Special Defense to better check Volcarona.

Clear Smog is useful to wipe away the boosts of setup sweepers like Volcarona, Breloom, and Bulk Up Great Tusk (Dragonite and Tusk are the big ones. If you want to mention others you can try Quaquaval, Azumarill, Roaring Moon and DD Pult). Foul Play, on the other hand, gives Amoonguss a way to pressure Gholdengo and Dragapult while still punishing physical setup sweepers like Baxcalibur and Cinderace once Amoonguss Terastallizes (Wouldn't mention Gholdengo since you are set up fodder). Rocky Helmet lets Amoonguss punish U-turn users like Meowscarada and Scizor, but Covert Cloak is a valid option to allow Amoonguss to more easily check Garganacl. A Water Tera type allows Amoonguss to check Cinderace and Baxcalibur Azumarill more effectively (Not actually true since you become neutral to Play Rough which is more spammable), while a Fire Tera type lets it beat use Clear Smog safely on Tera Grass Volcarona at the cost of becoming weak to Ground-types like Great Tusk (Consider if this is important and why and if Tera Steel is more important overall since it resists Psychic-type attacks and also keeps the Fairy-type resistance). Maximum HP investment with 172 Defense EVs and a Bold nature allows Amoonguss to survive one Ice Spinner from Choice Band Azumarill after Stealth Rock, and the rest of its EVs are dumped into Special Defense to better check Volcarona. (This EV spread is a carry over from SS OU. Helps to not get 2HKOed by Timid Dragapult's Shadow Ball. Look into if there are other important benchmarks else Max Def might be the wave since its already the most popular set anyway. Ice Spinner Banded Azu is super niche and not worth mentioning imo)

Even though Amoonguss has the ability to check some setup sweepers with Clear Smog, it is best to pair it with an Unaware teammate like Skeledirge or Dondozo, which complement it defensively (How do they complement it? Breloom takes on Electric- and Grass-type attacks while Dondozo takes on Fire-type attacks) and take some of the pressure off it to deal with physical setup sweepers.

Amoonguss is the tier's sole defensive user of Spore, as it is capable of sticking around and putting foes to sleep throughout a match. Giga Drain affords Amoonguss extra longevity, which is particularly helpful because Amoonguss often foregoes using Heavy-Duty Boots (rephrase this imo because boots isn't even an option on the set so it would never rly run it. longevity also comes from leftovers/sludge which also aren't mentioned. i think just saying giga is good for longevity is fine enough); however, Grass Knot is an option that hits Dondozo and Garganacl harder. Clear Smog is useful to wipe away the boosts of setup sweepers like Dragonite, Iron Valiant, and Bulk Up Great Tusk. - i think somewhere here you should mention how amoong is good into valiant + how it can check that for teammates that struggle because it's probably one of the better checks
