Amoonguss's great typing, access to Regenerator, and excellent toolkit allow it to function as a top-notch support Pokemon with the ability to check and, with Spore, shut down Raging Bolt, Urshifu-R, and Zamazenta-C throughout the game. Amoonguss uses Pollen Puff to heal its teammates, providing its team the upper hand in longer games. However, Sludge Bomb can be used instead of Pollen Puff or Protect to 2HKO the Ogerpon formes that can redirect Spore. Amoonguss uses Sitrus Berry for burst healing, allowing Amoonguss to avoid 2HKOs such as Tornadus' Bleakwind Storm. Amoonguss can opt for Rocky Helmet to better answer Urshifu-R and break Focus Sash on Mienshao, Chien-Pao, and Urshifu-S. The EV spread with a Bold nature allows Amoonguss to survive Adamant Chien-Pao's Icicle Crash and, with Sitrus Berry, avoid the 2HKO from Flutter Mane's Shadow Ball. A Calm nature lets Amoonguss avoid the 2HKO from Calyrex-S's Astral Barrage and survive Chien-Pao's Ice Spinner. 27 Speed IVs make Amoonguss slower than Calyrex-I, so it can use Spore before Calyrex-I moves under Trick Room. Tera Water is preferred to answer Koraidon and Calyrex-I while keeping the resistance to Water. This is good because it allows Amoonguss to take on common duos like Chien-Pao + Urshifu-R. Tera Dark can be used to resist Calyrex-S's Astral Barrage and gain an immunity to Tornadus's Prankster Taunt.

Amoonguss struggles against Pokemon that ignore Spore and Rage Powder such as Rillaboom, Ogerpon-H, Safety Goggles Incineroar, and Tera Grass Calyrex-I. This makes Incineroar a great partner, as it can threaten the Grass-types and use Knock Off to remove opposing Safety Goggles. Pelipper helps Amoonguss with rain and Wide Guard, protecting it from Calyrex-I's Glacial Lance. Pelipper can also use Hurricane and Weather Ball to pressure the aforementioned Amoonguss checks. Amoonguss can help Incineroar and Pelipper by redirecting Urshifu-R's and Raging Bolt's threatening STAB moves, respectively.

Amoonguss' great typing and excellent utility toolkit allow it to function as a top-notch support Pokemon, with the ability to check Raging Bolt, Urshifu-R, and Zamazenta-C throughout the game (Regeneratore deserves a mention here then). Amoonguss uses Pollen Puff to heal its teammates, providing the upper hand in longer games. However, Sludge Bomb can be used instead to 2HKO the Ogerpon forms which can redirect Spore. Amoonguss uses Sitrus Berry for burst healing, allowing Amoonguss to avoid 2HKOs such as Tornadus' Bleakwind Storm or 3HKOs like Flutter Mane's Shadow Ball (This feels pretty niche as a calc, probably just remove it since torn is enough). Amoonguss can opt for Rocky Helmet to better answer Urshifu-R and break Focus Sash on Mienshao, Chien-Pao, and Urshifu-S. The EV spread allows Amoonguss to avoid the 2HKO from Calyrex-Shadow's Astral Barrage and the OHKO from Chien-Pao's Ice Spinner (252 Atk Sword of Ruin Chien-Pao Ice Spinner vs. 236 HP / 196 Def Amoonguss: 182-216 (83.1 - 98.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery. It does 2hko so please clarify that it avoids the OHKO from spinner and not the 2HKO) . 27 Speed IVs make Amoonguss slower than Calyrex-Ice, so it can Spore it first under Trick Room. Tera Dark is preferred to resist Calyrex-Shadow's Astral Barrage and gain an immunity to Tornadus's Prankster Taunt. Tera Water can be used to answer Koraidon and Calyrex-Ice while keeping the resistance to Water. This is good for Amoonguss as it allows Amoonguss to take on common duos like Chien-Pao Urshifu-R.

Amoonguss struggles (maybe struggle isn't the right word, it just doesn't do much to them leaving the partner open. Up to you to keep struggle, I don't know a better word) against Pokemon that ignore Spore and Rage Powder such as Rillaboom, Ogerpon (add -H and even -W since even though you said you can hit them with Sludge Bomb the same can be said for Rillaboom) Safety Goggles Incineroar, and Tera Grass Calyrex-Ice. This makes Incineroar a great partner, as it can threaten the Grass-types and Knock Off opposing Safety Goggles. Pelipper helps Amoonguss with rain and Wide Guard, protecting it from Calyrex-Ice's Glacial Lance. Pelipper can also use Hurricane and Weather Ball to remove the aforementioned Amoonguss checks (You don't really remove Caly-I and Rillaboom can live hurricane and get off a wood hammer to bring peli down to sash. Point still stands but different wording could be useful). Amoonguss can help these two by redirecting Urshifu-R and Raging Bolt's threatening STAB moves respectively.

Tera Type: Dark / Water Water is still the more popular set by far
Calm Nature Way more Amoonguss are also Bold/Relaxed still also, like over 70-80%. This spreads kinda wack tbh. Your running Sitrus anyways, you already live the attack with 116 spedef.
252 SpA Calyrex-Shadow Rider Astral Barrage vs. 236 HP / 116 SpD Amoonguss: 96-114 (43.8 - 52%) -- 4.3% chance to 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery. Plus, most carry a psychic attack so your dying to that anyways.

- Spore
- Rage Powder
- Pollen Puff / Sludge Bomb
- Protect / Sludge Bomb I see no protect a fair bit

Amoonguss' great typing Why is its typing so good? You never mention it, Regenerator, and excellent toolkit Such as? You never say why Spore is good allow it to function as a top-notch support Pokemon, with the ability to check Raging Bolt, Urshifu-R, and Zamazenta-C Maybe highlight defensive typing and use these as examples throughout the game. Amoonguss uses Pollen Puff to heal its teammates, providing the upper hand in longer games. However, Sludge Bomb can be used instead to 2HKO the Ogerpon forms which can redirect Spore. The EV spread allows Amoonguss to avoid the 2HKO from Calyrex-Shadow's Astral Barrage and survive Chien-Pao's Ice Spinner. As I said earlier, the Calyrex-S calc isen't needed as your running Sitrus as the primary item, you already live it without so much investment 27 Speed IVs make Amoonguss slower than Calyrex-Ice, so it can Spore it first under Trick Room. Tera Dark is preferred to resist Calyrex-S's Astral Barrage and gain an immunity to Tornadus's Prankster Taunt. Tera Water can be used to answer Koraidon and Calyrex-I while keeping the resistance to Water. This is good for Amoonguss as it allows Amoonguss to take on common duos like Chien-Pao + Urshifu-R. Switch these prolly
More a GP Team but can you change up the way these are phrased? You say Amoonguss so many times and use the same sentence structure its kinda boring to read.

Amoonguss struggles against Pokemon that ignore Spore and Rage Powder such as Rillaboom, Ogerpon-H, and Safety Goggles Incineroar, and Tera Grass Calyrex-Ice If you add tera you can include like any mon here IDT its very fair, esp when you see like no TGrass. This makes Incineroar a great partner, as it can threaten the Grass-types and Knock Off opposing Safety Goggles. Pelipper helps Amoonguss with rain and Wide Guard, protecting it from Calyrex-I's Glacial Lance. Pelipper can also use Hurricane and Weather Ball to pressure the aforementioned Amoonguss checks. Amoonguss can help these two by redirecting Urshifu-R and Raging Bolt's threatening STAB moves respectively.
Probably fine
