Ability: Snow Warning
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Freeze-Dry
- Moonblast
- Encore

With access to Snow Warning and Aurora Veil, Alolan Ninetales cements itself as one of the best leads for hyper offense teams in OU while making use of a solid Speed tier and Encore to disrupt opposing setup sweepers. Freeze-Dry can threaten metagame staples like Gliscor, Ogerpon-W, and Landorus-T, while Moonblast threatens a number of offensive foes, such as Zamazenta and Iron Valiant. Tera Water is used to remove Alolan Ninetales's weaknesses to Steel- and Fire-type moves, letting it better stand up to the likes of Iron Crown and Moltres. Because Alolan Ninetales is relatively weak offensively, it serves best as a dedicated support Pokemon and should be paired with setup sweepers like Dragonite and Zamazenta that make use of Aurora Veil to get boosts without fear of being knocked out. Kyurem is an especially notable partner, as it benefits not just from Aurora Veil but also from the defense boost provided by Alolan Ninetales's snow. Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock and need to hold Light Clay, Alolan Ninetales also benefits from entry hazard removers like Great Tusk and Iron Treads to let it repeatedly come in to set Aurora Veil.

Freeze-Dry can 2HKO other common leads like Gliscor, Ogerpon-W, and Landorus-T
Ngl, we don’t see much leading off from these into Veil teams and LandoT/Ogeron often die to Freeze Dry after rocks, so I would instead say

“Freeze Dry can threaten metagame staples like Gliscor, Ogerpon-W, and Landorus-T”

while Moonblast threatens a number of offensive threats, such as Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, as well as scares out lead Hisuian Samurott.
and to keep it flowing / keep character count going, you can remove Samu-H mention as both moves 2H it barring AV. Freeze Dry does 60ish, which is enough to have the same effect into opposing lead SamuH and make it not need distinguishing under Moonblast only.

Rest is all good and honestly this was, too. Just think lead patterns into it are reflected this way a tad better
