Hey guys! After taking a few months break from pokemon, I got a copy of the new game and have been testing out my team on showdown. It's based on tons of offense from the get-go, with azumarill, talonflame and mega pinsir doing most of the sweeping, Spiritomb and thundurus for good type coverage, and Latias as my defogger.

Spiritomb @ Black Glasses
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play

I chose spiritomb for his strong dark moves and his good stats. He relies heavily on predicting my opponents moves, but with good reads he can do lots of work using pursuit and sucker punch. Will-o-wisp is also helpful as a way to cripple my opponents.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Waterfall

Azumarill was one of my favorite pokemon in X/Y, and he remains one of my favorites now. Play rough, Watefall, and Aqua jet can score me lots of kills, whereas play rough generally suprises people, but often can do lots of damage and take their item off them.

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 76 HP / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Knock Off
- Superpower
- Iron Tail

Thundurus is mainly on this team for type coverage, his moveset boasts 4 different types of moves, helping shut down pokemon that are giving me problems.

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Roost

Latias is on this team for the much needed defog to set up my talonflame and my Pinsir. He can also be used as a sweeper with roost for healing himself, and draco meteor and thunderbolt to deal some damage.

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 52 HP / 188 Atk / 28 Def / 4 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge

Pinsir is my mega of the team, and with Return, Close Combat, and Stone Edge he can deal lots of damage, combined with his high speed and swords dance he is very dangerous for any opponents.

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Aerial Ace

Talonflame is on the team for having good type coverage, and being able to dish out tons of damage, especially with his priority brave bird he can hit first and hard, along with flare blitz and aerial ace.

I dont understand that Pinsir spread, you might just want to go for 252 atk / 4 def / 252 speed and use quick attack instead of Stone edge. Stone edge doesn't hit much anyway.

Thundurus should have 76 attack not HP so that Knock off can OHKO Latios after rocks. I suggest you to run HP ice instead of the inaccurate Iro tail whihc hits like 2 pokemon. I dont see any hazards maybe you could fit something else instead of spiritomb, there are pleanty of options. Spiritomb doesn't seem to do much. T-Tar can set up rocks checks the manectric weakness, traps lati etc. You could try a scarf set or even a bulkier set
