Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Nasty Plot / Psyshock

Life Orb Alakazam is one of the most threatening Pokemon in BDSP, with its strong Psychic and Focus Blast demolishing any would-be defensive counterplay. Its high Speed and immediate power make it near impossible to deal with outside of revenge killing it, and even then, options are limited to Weavile or faster Choice Scarf users. Psychic and Focus Blast provide near-perfect neutral coverage, only missing out on other Psychic-types such as Latias, Starmie, and Azelf. However, Shadow Ball lets Alakazam break the aforementioned foes, as well as hit Jirachi harder. Nasty Plot means Alakazam can be checked by Blissey, but turns it into a monstrous wallbreaker, as when boosted, it can achieve feats such as OHKOing Scizor and Slowking after Stealth Rock. Psyshock makes Alakazam virtually unwallable; however, it requires much more careful play and can't clean as easily. Due to Alakazam's horrid bulk, slow pivots such as Scizor and Gliscor are amazing partners to bring it in safely, while other wallbreakers such as Infernape and Weavile assist it in breaking down their shared checks.

id probably mention how Alakazam pairs well with other wallbreakers, because the last line is just a bit "poor" imo
