RMT Title
Miyoko HO
Introduction
Hi! Its me Miyoko. This would be the first ORAS RMT that I am making. My basic aim was to create a team based on Air Balloon Exacadrill and thus, I came up with the Idea of Hyper Offense. I made this team a few months ago for doing the ORAS Ladder Challenge and I received 2 Platinums in ORAS Ladder Challenge. Most of the laddering till 1600 was done using this team in the most part of the ladder. Mold Breaker spam on this team mostly helps handle stall teams. Other mons work well with HO teams with Mew being the lead set-up of our team. Thats it!
Teambuilding Process

- For every Hyper Offense teams we will need a hazard set up, called the Suicide lead. I choose Mew for that purpose. Mew is one of the best leads according to me as it gets Taunt as well as Thunder Wave and can also set up Stealth Rock. So I choose Mew. I first thought of Aerodactyl as it was faster than Mew but later changed my mind because it doesn't have Thunder Wave, nor does it has Explosion.

- I got Excadrill second as it has Rapid Spin. I wanted to showcase Excadrill mainly as a sweeper but it turned out to be a good support as well. With Swords Dance Mold Breaker it swept many teams and with Rapid Spin in also helped to keep hazards under control. Excadrill's Mold Breaker also helps against stall teams and Rotoms (especially Rotom-Wash).

- Since it is a HO team, we would always need set up sweepers. I choose Gyarados-mega specifically because of a few reasons. Firstly, it has the ability Intimidate which lowers opponent's attack giving us an opportunity to set up. Secondly, it has Dragon Dance which is a good set-up move and lastly, it has Mold Breaker just like Excadrill which means we don't lose to stall teams.

- Next, I picked Talonflame as it has Gale Wings ability which makes all Flying-type moves priority. This is very useful for Hyper Offense teams since we will need a priority so that we don't get swept by opposing Pokemon. Talonflame also can set-up sweep on its own with Swords Dance boosting attack and Roost keeping it healthy even after a few set ups and recoil damage. Also, We don't need to care about Stealth Rock from opponent since we have Taunt as well as Rapid Spin.

- Next comes Thundurus, another cool priority user. Thundurus serves as our second priority. It is very annoying to deal with. With Prankster Thunder Wave, we can deal with faster Pokemon as well as set-up sweepers easily. Thundurus plays a very important role on this team as it hits all top Pokemon of the meta with super-effective damage such as Landorus-therian (with HP Ice), Gyarados (with Tbolt), Excadrill and Tyranitar (with F Blast), etc. Thus, it serves as an important partner in the team.

- Lastly, we had no Special Attacking sweepers that could hit defensive walls such as Cofragigus. So, I choose Volcarona. Volcarona is one of the best Pokemon in terms of Offense. With lum berry, it can beat Thunder Wave Thundurus and Toxic / Glare users and thus, becomes a demon after a few Quiver Dances. Our team also struggled a bit with Ferrothorn and Gastrodon. So I choose Volcarona for the last slot as it has Giga Drain as well as Flamethrower.
The Team

Mew @ Mental Herb
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Explosion
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
Every Hyper Offense team needs a hazard set-up Pokemon. I am using Mew

because Mew is the fastest hazard-setter I could find that has access to Taunt and Thunder Wave. Taunt which is useful to stop opposing lead hazard-setting Pokemon such as Landorus-therian

, Skarmory

, Clefable

, Heatran

, etc. Thunder Wave helps lower the speed of opposing Pokemon while paralyzing them. Explosion allows Mew to provide free switch-in for set-up sweepers to come in as clean the game. Mental Herb as a held item allows Mew to shake off Taunt against faster Taunters such as Aerodactyl

.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head / Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance
Excadrill

is one of the best Rapid Spinner (hazard removal Pokemon) in the metagame. Air Balloon provides immunity to Excadrill against Ground-type moves which allows Excadrill to switch in freely in front of opposing Ground-types such as opposing Excadrill

, Landorus-therian (on low HP)

, etc. Swords Dance is useful for setting up and sweeping through teams with Iron Head and Earthquake. Mold Breaker allows to break past stall teams / unaware Pokemon such as Clefable

and Quagsire

(after a few set-ups). Lastly, Excadrill has Rapid Spin to remove hazards as almost the entire team is weak to Stealth Rock and Excardrill is the only Pokemon who resists it and can potentially remove it. Rock Slide is a backup option for Talonflame

. It can be used in place of Iron Head.

Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Earthquake / Substitute / Taunt
Gyarados is our mega set-up sweeper. With its Intimidate ability, Gyarados can switch in against Physical attackers and then start to set up and clean late game. After mega evolution, Mold Breaker allows to break through stall teams with Quagsire

and Clefable

. Dragon Dance is to set up. Crunch and Waterfall gives STAB coverage, doing massive damage to almost all Pokemon such as Heatran

, Volcarona

, etc. Earthquake helps Gyarados to hit Rotom (Mold Breaker avoids Levitate), Volcanion

, and Bisharp

. Substitute allows it to avoid status conditions such as Thunder Wave and Wil-o-wisp. Taunt is for other set-up sweepers, hazards protection and also helps against stall Pokemon to stop Haze and status moves.

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Flare Blitz
Talonflame

is a strong attacker. With access to Swords Dance and its ability Gale Wings, Talonflame becomes a monster. Its main job is to check Ferrothorn

, while providing priority to save from getting swept by faster strong mons. Roost provides reliable recovery after a few set-up or after getting some recoil damage. Talonflame's Fire-typing stops it from getting burned which means atk cant be halved. It also checks Tornadus-therian :tornadus-therian. Swords Dance boosted Brave Bird hits almost all Pokemon of the tier, while Flare Blitz hits the one who resists it such as Excadrill

, Ferrothorn (for 4 times damage), Zapdos (it cant kill though)

etc.

Thundurus (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
Thundurus

is one of the most annoying Pokemon to deal with. With its access to Thunder Wave and ability Prankster, it can block almost any Pokemon from set-up sweeping. It also allows your teammate Pokemon to set-up freely while the opponent is fully paralyzed. Paralysis also reduces the speed of opposing Pokemon which is helpful to outspeed set-up Pokemon or faster Pokemon. With Thunderbolt, it hits all Water-type Pokemon such as Azumarill

, both forms of Gyarados

, etc. Focus Blast hits Heatran

, both forms of Tyranitar

, Kyurem-Black

, Excadrill

, etc. Hidden Power Ice is useful to hit Ground-types such as Landorus-therian :landorus-therain: , all forms of Garchomp

, etc

Volcarona @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Giga Drain / Hidden Power Ground
Volcarona is one of the best Special Attacking set-up sweepers in the team. Since most of the team was just filled up with physical attackers, my eye got to Volcarona and it turned out to be the most useful mon in the team. With its great typing and coverage moves such as Giga Drain, Volcarona becomes a beast. Giga Drain hits Gastrodon

, Swampert-mega

, Azumarill

and other Water-type Pokemon. Bug buzz is good STAB and hits Tyranitar-mega

as well as normal

. Flamethrower hits all Steel-types such as Ferrothorn

and Excadrill

. Hidden Power Ground is exclusively for Heatran cuz without it, Volcarona loses to Heatran

.

Conclusion
Overall this team can beat most defensive teams. It has some weaknesses though such as Stall in some cases (especially Skarmory

+ Chansey

stall) and a few Bulky-Offense teams (Remember that this team is not actually weak to rocks, we have 2 taunt + Rapid Spin for hazard control). However, this team is user-friendly and thus is easy to handle and works really well when I tested this on ladder. Since this was my first RMT so let me know if anything needs to be added. Stay tuned for more RMTs. Thank you!
