ORAS OU Aegislash Suspect Test (Aeigslash/M-Lopunny Hyper Offense)

So with the recent Aegislash suspect testing, something that I am fully in support of, as Aegislash checks and counters multiple highly threatening new megas, Mega Metagross, Mega Altaria, and Mega Gardevoir, to name a few, I decided to create a team based around Aegislash for the suspect test. I wasn't sure if I wanted a physical or special Aegislash (I don't really like running mixed attackers, for whatever reason, don't know why), so I decided to build my team first and then see what was needed from it.
I decided I wanted to build a core with Aegislash and a Mega, and I decided on Mega Lopunny.

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Return

Lopunny has fantastic synergy with Aegislash, and, in my opinion, is one of the most overpowered megas in the OU meta right now. It's a fantastic mid to late game sweeper and, if played correctly, can just demolish entire teams. Threats to Mega Lopunnys sweeps are defensive Landorus-T, Talonflame, Slowbro, Mega-Slowbro, scarfed Keldeo, and Thundurus. These threats are taken care of, however, with the following two pokemon.

Espeon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Psyshock
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball

Trick/Scarf Espeon is one of my favorite mons in the game right now, and this is the first time I was actually able to successfully incorporate it onto a team. Espeon doesn't do much attacking on this team, but has worked very successfully in terms of completely destroying opposing pokemon that would be walls, and trading a scarf for leftovers. Espeon has never swept teams and rarely kills other pokemon, but with correct predictions and smart playing, can easily turn the game into your favor. Also, its ability, Magic Bounce, is great for threats made to try burn or paralyze Mega Lopunny or Aegislash.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 4 SpA / 208 SpD / 48 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp

This is a standard Rotom-W set, with 48 speed to outspeed other rotom, belly drum azumarill, defensive landorus-T, and so on. I decided to make this Rotom-W specifically defensive because it just completely walls so many threats in the game. Keldeo, Latios, Latias, Heatran, Thundurus, Landorus, etc. Specially Defensive Rotom-W is so underrated, and has great synergy with my defensive wall (to be mentioned later). Also, it checks many threats to Aegislash, and can switch into t-waves from klefki and thundurus.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic/Fire Blast (edit by Pure Demize)

This is my defensive wall. It checks many threats to Aegislash and helps deal with opposing Mega-Lopunny, as this set can live a fake out and then an ice punch, even after rocks. And with all those attacks, opposing mons will be punished for dealing damage to Garchomp with the Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet combo. It works great with Aegislash as it can deal with fire types (except for this one Mega-Charizard Y with dragon pulse that caught me off guard) and completely shuts down and counters Bisharp, the ultimate counter to Aegislash.

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy/Leftovers/Life Orb/
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
- King's Shield
- Swords Dance/Automize
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head/Sacred Sword

Ah yes, the (wo)man of the hour. Almost any physically offensive set will work here. It's Aegislash. Predict well, and it can be an extremely valuable asset to basically any team. I chose physically offensive just for a nice balance between physical attackers and special attackers. There was no other particular reason. Threats towards Aegislash include Landorus-T, Sableye (priority Will-O-Wisp), both Mega-Charizards, Mega-Lopunny, Landorus, and, of course, Bisharp.

Serperior @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I. Love. Serperior. It is near impossible to go wrong with this set and this pokemon. With Conrtray, it's just so good. When I realized I had a slot open for a special attacker, and a special sweeper, I immediately looked at Serperior. Leaf Storm provides the +2 special attack boost while already dealing a fair amount of damage and being STAB. Giga Drain recovers health lost from Life Orb. Dragon pulse allows you to hit Latios and Latias, and other dragons. Hidden Power Fire catches many people by surprise and can take care of Ferrothorn, Scizor, Aegislash, and Skarmory. The only threats or walls to this monster are Heatran, which is the ultimate counter to Serperior, unless you decided to run HP Ground over HP fire (but other mons on this team already take care of Heatran) and Thundurus, with the threat of that priority Thunder Wave.

Threats to the team:
Mega Gallade (access to Knock Off and cannot flinch, very threatening to core)
Mega Charizard Y (If carrying Dragon Pulse/Solarbeam/Flamethrower, this team pretty much gets swept)
SD Bisharp (Why on earth would you give this thing a chance to SD. That's gg to most teams)
Defensive Landorus-T (Walls Lopunny fairly well, gets intimidates off on core. Scarfed and banded variants are more easily dealt with)
Contrary Serperior (This thing is a monster. More people need to see that.)

TLDR:
Physically Offensive Aegislash. Mega Lopunny. Defensive Chomp. Spdef Rotom-W. Seperior is a badass. Scarf/Trick Espeon is really cool. Your win conditions will usually be Lopunny or Serperior.

Importable:
Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
- King's Shield
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 4 SpA / 208 SpD / 48 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Return

Hello pkBaileyC213. Welcome to Smogon! I would like to suggest a few things to you. Just want to change a couple of your EV spreads and sets that will greatly help you in battle.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe
Lax Nature

- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail

With this Garchomp set you will be able to outspeed Bisharp, Breloom and other Base 70's while maintaining the bulk you want. Fire Blast over Toxic so you can hit Ferrothorn and Skarmory.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

Physically defensive Rotom is much better than SpDef. It's a better bird spam check and takes less from Keldeo's Secret sword, Which is what you want.

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Fake Out
- Encore
- Return

This set is by far Lopunny's best set, especially in a meta with Aegislash. High Jump Kick is a far better option than Drain Punch because Lopunny needs the extra damage and it's very frail so have HP Regeneration is useless because it is ohko'd easily. Encore is to encore Aegislash into using King's Shield again to avoid taking the Damage drop and to keep it from attacking you, while you can OHKO it with a High Jump Kick.

Aegislash @ Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Sassy Nature

- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword/Pursuit
- King's Shield

This set is fantastic. It gives you the bulk Aegislash wants in order to tank hits and LO provides the ability to dish damage back out. Aegislash will be switching into Latios/Latias often so you'll want the the SpDef. You can run Pursuit to trap opposing Lati@s. Fairies threaten your team so you'll definitely want the extra bulk to be able to switch into their attacks confidently. That's all I have for you for now. I hope I helped you out!

Why not run Flash Cannon over Sacred Sword/Pursuit. That gives you dual STAB while being able to punish Fairies that decide they wanna switch in.

I don't understand why a lax nature would ever be suggested for any Pokemon. Fire Blast chomp has plenty of options but Lax isn't one.

Even Jolly should 2hko most Ferrothorn I believe.

Yeah. Even if it's gonna run mixed, Hasty or Naive are better natures than Lax. Lonely, Naughty, Mild or Rash could be used if you don't want Speed increase. Also, for some reason, I just don't like Encore on any Mega Pokémon because I use Ice Punch instead if Encore.
