[SET COMMENTS]
Beedrill's access to Swords Dance, excellent Attack, and Swarm cement it as one of the most frightening setup sweepers. Substitute is integral, as it provides Beedrill with a more reliable way to activate its Salac Berry and more opportunities to use Swords Dance, since it can get free turns on Pokemon like Gloom and Koffing or on a predicted switch out. Swords Dance allows Beedrill to OHKO Pokemon it otherwise wouldn't such as Seaking, Aipom, and Flaaffy. Hidden Power Bug packs a huge punch when Swarm is active and allows Beedrill to sweep effectively, since it can pick up the 2HKO on Porygon and the OHKO on Anorith. Sludge Bomb makes it difficult for would-be switch-ins like Wartortle, Corsola, and Onix to come in unscathed due to its high chance to poison. It also provides Beedrill with a more powerful STAB option if Swarm has not been activated. The EV spread allows Beedrill's Substitute to withstand a Sludge Bomb from Gloom and Koffing and outspeed maximum Speed Voltorb with a Salac Berry boost.

Beedrill fits best on balance and offense teams in need of a dedicated cleaner or wincon. Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Wartortle, Seaking, and Flash Fire Ponyta all pair well with Beedrill, since they can take on Quilava and opposing Ponyta for it. Wartortle is a notable teammate, as it can remove Spikes for Beedrill while reliably checking both Ponyta and Quilava. Physical wallbreakers such as Aipom, Seaking, and Doduo are able to weaken Beedrill's defensive checks like Wartortle, Onix, and Corsola. Choice Band Seaking is a notable partner, as it can act as a complementary wallbreaker for Beedrill with its good bulk and resistance to Fire. Aipom's Speed allows it to function as a secondary cleaner. Strong special attackers like Abra, Quilava, and Clamperl are able to heavily threaten some of Beedrill's defensive checks like Koffing, Ariados, and Corsola; in return, Beedrill can break down special walls like Noctowl and Porygon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Beedrill can opt to use Agility over Substitute and Lum Berry over Salac Berry, but due to its mediocre bulk, it struggles to activate Swarm safely. Brick Break can be used to threaten Corsola and Onix, though this requires dropping Hidden Power Bug, which heavily limits Beedrill's capacity to sweep.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Quilava and Ponyta outspeed and OHKO Beedrill if it's not behind a Substitute. They can also stomach a Sludge Bomb if they come in on one, but Ponyta has to be worried about getting poisoned, since it will seal the OHKO. Quilava struggles to take Beedrill down behind a Substitute after Salac Berry activates, and Ponyta's Quick Attack rarely finishes off Beedrill when it gets down to 25% HP.

**Physical Walls**: Flamethrower Koffing is very tough to get past; however, Beedrill can get past non-Flamethrower variants. Wartortle and Corsola take hits very well and can fire back for solid damage, though they are not as troubling, since Beedrill can stomach Surf and use Swords Dance to get past them. However, Beedrill needs to be in good condition to do this.

**Faster Attackers**: Aipom, Doduo, Seaking, Anorith, and Volbeat can all outspeed and OHKO Beedrill, though they don't switch in safely or take hits very well. Abra has the added benefit of being able to use Encore to lock Beedrill into Swords Dance or Substitute. However, Beedrill can outspeed all of these attackers after a Salac Berry boost.

**Priority** If Beedrill is not behind a Substitute, Pokemon with access to Quick Attack such as Ponyta and Doduo can prevent Beedrill from sweeping after Salac Berry has been used.

**Multi-Hit Moves**: Beedrill gets entirely thwarted by Anorith and Rhyhorn using Rock Blast as well as Cubone carrying Bonemerang. Although, Anorith has to get in front of Beedrill before the Salac Berry procs and Beedrill gets into Swarm range.

Beedrill's access to Swords Dance, excellent attack, and access to Swarm cements it as one of the most frightening setup sweepers. Substitute is integral as it provides Beedrill with a more reliable way to activate its Salac Berry and more opportunities to use Swords Dance. Explain how it gives Bee more opportunities Swords Dance allows Beedrill to OHKO Pokemon it otherwise wouldn't such as Seaking, Aipom, and Flaaffy. Hidden Power Bug packs a huge punch when Swarm is active Explain what foes this power boost can help against and allows Beedrill to sweep effectively. Sludge Bomb makes it difficult for would be switch-ins like Wartortle, Corsola, and Onix to come in unscathed due to its high chance to inflict poison. It also provides Beedrill with a more consistent powerful STAB option if Swarm has not been activated. The EV spread allows Beedrill's Substitute to withstand a Sludge Bomb from Gloom and Koffing while outspeeding max Speed Voltorb with a Salac berry boost.

Beedrill fits best on balance and offense teams in need of a dedicated cleaner or win condition. Pokemon who are resistant to Fire-types such as Wartortle, Seaking, and Flash Fire Ponyta all pair well with Beedrill. Explain why Wartortle is a notable teammate as it can remove Spikes for Beedrill while reliably checking both Ponyta and Quilava. Physical wallbreakers such as Aipom, Seaking, and Doduo make for excellent partners as they are able to weaken Beedrill's defensive checks like Wartortle, Onix, and Corsola. Choice Band Seaking is a notable partner as it can act as a complimentary wallbreaker for Beedrill with its good bulk and resistance to Fire-types. Aipom also makes a fantastic partner as its Speed allows it to function as a secondary cleaner. Secondary sweepers that appreciate the removal of special walls such as Spoink, Smoochum, and Porygon pair well with Beedrill. Spoink is an excellent partner as its able to reliably check Quilava for Beedrill.

Wartortle and Corsola are not as troubling since Beedrill can stomach hits Surf and Swords Dance up to get past it them, although it needs to be in good condition to do this. This section is kind of written backwards. In the case of Koffing, explain what variants of it can beat Beedrill first. For the latter two, explain when they can beat Beedrill, then explain how it can beat them,

Secondary sweepers that appreciate the removal of special walls such as Spoink, Smoochum, and Porygon pair well with Beedrill. I'm not entirely sure how to read this -- are listed Pokemon the special sweepers or special walls? Smoochum's too frail to function as a wall and Porygon's primarily a SpDef wall, while Spoink's incredibly niche at best for both. I'd still mention strong special attackers like Abra, Quilava, and Clamperl being able heavily threaten some of Beedrill's defensive checks like Koffing, Ariados, and Corsola; in turn, Beedrill can break down SpDef walls like Noctowl and Porygon. Spoink is an excellent partner as its able to reliably check Quilava for Beedrill. As mentioned, Spoink is a little too niche to be worth mentioning, as its offensively outclassed by Abra and Smoochum and defensively by Drowzee.

Add a section for multi-hit moves such as Anorith/Rhyhorn's Rock Blast and Cubone's Bonemerang. All three either threaten a speed-tie or have sufficient bulk to stifle an attack from Beedrill and threaten huge damage through its Substitute.
