The type chart is familiar to most, but I feel like everyone at some point or another gets their wires crossed when facing a Pokémon with an uncommon type combo or something of that nature. They might select a move that is NVE, that the target is immune to, that will fail, or some other brain fart that could cost them the game.
My QOL suggestion is to include an indicator of effectiveness in the tooltip that appears when you hover over a move to select. For example, if you were hovering over a Grass move when facing a pure Water foe, the tooltip would include something like "Super Effective against [opponent]" (EDIT: can also appear for allies in double battles). This could also appear if you were about to use a Prankster status move against a Dark type, or Will-O-Wisp a Fire type, etc. Finally, maybe something like "This move may fail" could appear if you tried to do something like use Recover at full health, Aurora Veil when it isn't hailing, etc.
