Hisuian Goodra is a potent defensive backbone for Dragon teams, as thanks to its great typing and defensive stats, it acts as both a solid check to opposing Dragon-, Fairy-, and Ice-types and a special wall to foes such as Kyurem, Tapu Lele, and Mega Latias. Its IronPress combination also lets it act as a win condition. Protect raises Hisuian Goodra's longevity by letting it heal further with Leftovers and scout for super effective coverage from foes, but Rest can be used instead for further longevity at the cost of even more passivity; this can be mitigated with Chesto Berry, however. Shell Armor prevents foes from breaking past Hisuian Goodra's Defense boosts with a critical hit, but Sap Sipper provides an immunity to Leech Seed from foes such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Venusaur. As Hisuian Goodra can struggle with Fighting- and Ground-types such as Great Tusk, Mega Swampert, and Mega Lopunny, Mega Altaria and Latias make for good partners to check them, making a defensive core with Hisuian Goodra. This Hisuian Goodra set can struggle with Ghost-types such as Gholdengo, Ceruledge, and Mega Sableye, so partners such as Kommo-o, Garchomp, and Roaring Moon mitigate Hisuian Goodra's passivity against them. Roaring Moon in particular can also act as an offensive check to Fairy-types like Iron Valiant and Mega Diancie, which can otherwise overwhelm Hisuian Goodra.

Done, although I decided to focus more on Ghost checks than Steel ones (which was basically what was brought up plus Roaring Moon), given Body Press hits most Steel-types super effectively, and the only ones that properly use it as setup fodder are Aegislash and Gholdengo.
