A TRUE counter to Lucario

o eke...so what is a counter to a lucario you do not know about...meaning what can safely switch into ANY of lucario's moves(that includes focus blast/iron tail) and not be OHKOed or 2HKOed...or comboed into...and then strike back and KO lucario..

For example: everyone says that heracross is the perfect counter to lucario...however a heracross cannot switch into a lucario's psychic

Also ppl say that gliscor is a lucario counter...however lucario has HP ice that can OHkO it

And also no pokemon with a 4X weakness can switch into lucario...lucario takes full advantage of the hidden power moves and makes it impposible for anyone with a 4X weakness to switch in...As i said before EVERY MOVE lucario can learn...so i'll be taking all of those into account...

lol so overall what i'm asking is...can anyone find a TRUE 100% counter that it doesnt matter what set lucario is running it will safe switch in and strike back to KO lucario?
 
There is no such thing. Lucario has two amazing attacking stats and a movepool that allows it to use both Swords Dance and Choice Specs effectively. So you need something that does not die from an overpowered:

Dark Pulse, Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Extremespeed, Psychic, Crunch, Stone Edge, Blaze Kick, Bullet Punch.

There is nothing that can take all of these reliably. Something like Cresselia or Uxie comes close, but they cannot really OHKO Lucario (Thunder Wave or Hidden Power Fighting will do him in though) and they aren't going to stand Crunch or Dark Pulse.
 
Lucario very rarely carries Stone Edge, so Gyarados or Salamence will usually do the trick.

lol yeah... i'm glad you get it...i've been tryin this on other post..and some dont get it...but i think that there is one, but i just cant find it right now...so i'm on different boards tryin to find it out lol
 
Then the answer to your question is nothing, because you can always just say "random hidden power _____."

It's like saying there's a guaranteed safe switch-in to Tyranitar or Garchomp no matter what they do. There isn't one.

hahaha yep...that's why i started this post in the first place...because ppl are saying that garchomp, Ttar, and salamence are the ONLY three pokemon have NO counters...so i decided to look for another pokemon that would have NO counters...and that's why i started this post to see if ppl can find a counter to lucario...so far no one has found 1 yet...spiritomb relatively close, but lucario has flash cannon which really dents spiritomb switching it
 
Id laugh if someone replied with a counter only to hear this guy say something like it can carry hp poison lol...
as said above there really is no counter...yet. Its one of those pokes you have to be really snippy about, maybe run even a worthy gimmick set like:
counter sash weavile, but this only works if it goes physical.....if not i suggest going for something else that packs a higher speed, a mirror coat and a priotity move....two of these on a team would ko lucario if you had seen what type of moves it was using but then who wants to waste two spots on that!
 
lol HP poison really wouldnt be that neccasary...considering it's a poor offensive move and lucario has blaze kick to take care of the grass... haha and yes i understand your sarcasim...and nothing really is fast that has a priority move that can really hurt lucario...put mach punch and vacum wave...and all the pokemon that learn it get OHKOed by lucario lol

no i was meaning like this....sure it cant switch in though unless you predict an sdance.

Counter sash weavile running hasty 252 speed/att.
ONLY USE AFTER YOU KNOW IT IS A PHYSICAL LUCARIO!
packing a focus sash, counter,ice shard and a superior speed.
Takes the phsical hit, BANG WITH COUNTER and if for some stuppid reason it survives (LOL i dont know how, reflect or something) ice shard FTW (it should have barely any HP left in this case) switch out and maybe come back in later to revenge kill some stupid 4times weak to ice things.
 
Lots of things in DP have no counters because of how immense potential movepools have become. However,
- you can use multiple Pokemon, not just one Pokemon, to beat one particular opponent. Usually their first move will give away a big part of their set (like if it uses Aura Sphere, you know it probably does not have Stone Edge).
- an opponent can only carry four moves, and some are better than others. As Syberia said, Lucario rarely has Stone Edge, because it has so many other moves it likes to use.

You can claim that a Pokemon :can: use 20 viable moves, but once it enters battle, it only has four. When fighting one opponent at a time, that opponent is in the same position as you are: using 6 Pokemon with 4 moves each to beat whatever Pokemin with 4 moves you have out.
 
lucario is very easy to counter once you find out it's moveset...there's no doubt about that..but i'm saying what if you had NO idea about it...meaning anything can happen from it...what is a 100% safe switch no matter what moveset it runs?

lol btw the weavile you're talkin about is revenge killing..lucario is very easy to revenge kill and weavile does it perfectly with it...so weavile is not a COUNTER, it is a revenge killer to lucario

maybe its time to slap a scarf some dactyl and hope it doesnt carry stone edge? lol....geez this is like trying to find and all purpose counter for chomp....This is going to take a while.

haha i dont even think you need stone edge...aura sphere/close combat + bullet punch takes care of dactyl
