Hi, PU, hope you are all doing well. I am stepping down. This has been a long time coming, I initially wanted to step down the day right after the LOVE TOUR ended, which was also a day before my birthday, but a devastatingly tragic personal loss in my life led to me being away from the site for a while. Since then, it's been really hard to come up with the right words for this. I had a lot to say before in my head, about how valuable it was for me to do the tour with Ming and how amazingly fulfilling it was to help a cause so much bigger than any of us, and while that remains true, my feelings right now are a lot more complicated. There's a more palpable bitter-sweetness to it all now, but as things in the world and our personal lives possibly get harder, we can hopefully also be able to appreciate the good things. I'm trying my hardest right now to focus on that.
That being said, LOVE TOUR was a genuine success and despite my status away from the site for the last few weeks I managed to come back to help host it during the day. It felt important, it was. I wanna thank everyone who helped come up with and run it, who donated to either fund and who participated. It was a warm light in my life amidst the dark, and the donations will be that and more to many people benefiting I hope. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
With that out of the way, I am ready to say goodbye. Being TL was a roller coaster as I'm sure every past TL would say, but in general I am really proud of the things asa and I managed to do in this tenure. Though now, I'm tired and burnt out and I would prefer to quit before I do a mediocre job. College and personal stuff have gotten too busy and complicated and no one in PU deserves an absent leader. I'm very satisfied with a lot of the conversations, the coming together of the community, the new ideas (LOVE TOUR, Blind Draft, Discord Contributor, changes to usage, so much more!), all of which wouldn't have been possible without immense amount of support, sometimes internally and sometimes from the strangest places. Plenty will continue to treat the tier with the love and respect it deserves and I am sure there's a lot of amazing things that this community will achieve in the future.
That's the bottom line of it all though. Treating people with love and respect cause we all love the same silly stinky tier, despite differences. As long as people continue building bridges, PU will be alright. I am sure that asa, DugZa and MZ will continue to do a great job of leading the way.

I wanna thank gum for putting me in this position, one of my best friends in the entire world. Chloe and Shaneghoul who did such a stellar job with the tier and the community at the end of gen 8 when things were definitely looking....grim to say the least. EviGaro, Meri Berry and Akir who taught me how to do anything remotely close to a decent job as a TL and are also amazing friends.
asa for being the most amazing co-tl I could've ever asked for. So patient and understanding and just the sweetest ever. Your kindness and patience are synonym of what this tier represents to me. DugZa for always being honest and upfront and wanting to do the right thing. MZ for being a really vital guiding light for us and just having great amounts of valuable experience. The entire PU council and auth for caring so so much.
Specs and PTF for being the best first friends I could've ever asked to have entering this community back in SM. Your approach in loving and caring for the people of PU will always exist in this community as long as there's a heart in it.
