First and foremost this is a Pokemon Online Server team and should be rated as such!

Alright, so this is my first attempt at an OU team. After a long time of lower tier battling, I decided to come up to play in the big leagues. The idea of a rain team always intrigued me so I decided to give it a whirl. So far I've been doing pretty well. I'm having fun and I'm winning more than I lose. Anyway, enough back story, let's get into it.

politoed.png

Role: To induce the rain, of course!
Set: I decided to go with a ScarfToed variant, because anything else seems a little useless. While Politoed doesn't have bad bulk, he's pretty lacking compared to any other support/defensive Pokemon. STAB, rain-boosted Hydro Pump does a crap-ton, anyway. This is also my (sort of) Terrakion counter, since a Scarfed Politoed out speeds a Banded Terrakion (but not by much though!).
Possible Changes: If someone really wants me to change to SpecsToed or some support type set, then I'm willing to listen. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about Perish Song. I know it's for forcing switches but I won't be able to out speed any boosted Pokemon, and any wall can do what it wants to do before switching out.
dragonite.png

Role: Dragonite is my physical sweeper. He can setup on a ridiculous amount of Pokemon and then proceed to sweep everything. There are many different occasions when I can bring out the left testicle of this team and smack people with it (the left testicle of course being Dragonite). After one DD I can sweep and entire team that is unprepared, or clean up the leftovers at the end of a match. I really dig his new moveset, but I still prefer to have all the Steels out of the way before I bring him out. Also, one of the main importances of this team is to get rid of Stealth Rocks, so I can preserve Multiscale.
Set: Dragonite is Dragonite. Bring him in, Dragon Dance, and then pick a move. I really like the rain-boosted Waterfall-Earthquake-Outrage synergy, there's nothing that can really do anything to Dragonite after a DD (or two).
Possible Changes: I could easily change his set to something else. I don't think I'll be using a Choiced set, but I could always change up the moves/EV spread. I don't see myself changing Dragonite as a Pokemon though: I think he works well here and is a pretty key part of this team.

Role: Special sweeping is my specialty. Seriously, this thing is rediculously powerful. STAB Hurricane is stupidly good. This guy has taken out entire teams on his own, and that is why he is the right testicle to this team. Dragonite is the left and he is the right, and together they are a pretty amazing offensive core.
Set: Classic Specs Tornadus. His one and only job is to come in and unleash Hurricanes. I'm pretty sure everything is OHKO or THKO that isn't name Chans-bitch or Bliss-bitch. He can also scout with U-turn, which I like. The other two moves are filler, mostly for Tyranitar and Dragons that can fly.
Possible Changes: I've experimented with a lot of different Pokemon in this spot, and I'm still not sure if I like Tornadus the best. I've used Latias and Latios, as well as Jolteon and even Raikou, as well as some others. I don't know who I like the most, but Tornadus is definitely near the top of the list. He has a crazy powerful STAB move in Hurricane and can even scout with U-turn. I'm open to all opinions and help, though!

Role: Ferrothorn is pretty important here. He serves to counter a lot of Pokemon that would pose a lot of threats to the rest of my team. He can take hits like a champ and can really make peoples live miserable after all of his checks are down.
Set: This is the most standard set, probably. There isn't much that I really think needs to be said. Set up Spikes, and then either Leech Seed something or attack. After the Spikes, Ferrothorn serves as a pivot/counter, I guess. I used to run Steath Rock over Spikes, but now that I have Dugtrio, Stealth Rocks aren't necessary.
Possible Changes: None, really. I mean, maybe you could run Protect or Toxic over something, which might help to stall out people, but it really slows down any momentum you have going. Still open to input, though.
scaled.php

Role: Rapid Spinner and can take some hits.
Set: Balanced defensive EVs for survivability, Rain Dish for increased health regen, Protect for scouting, Scald for damage and burning things, Rapid Spin for dealing with hazards, and Toxic Spikes for stalling out annoying walls and winning the weather war faster.
Possible Changes: None, really. I mean there's nothing more I really need out of this guy other than taking hits, Rapid Spinning, scouting, and possibly burning something. If you can think of something better, go ahead and let me know.

Role: Ahh, the somewhat star of the show. Not really, but I do like Dugtrio. I mean look at him. Look at his shiny sprite's nose:
51.png

It's gloriously blue. Normally, when I don't like using shiny sprites, I think they're tacky, but when I saw Dugtrio's, I couldn't resist. It's almost the sole reason he's on this team. Dugtrio is a time-hardened veteran of the Pokemon battlefield. He has been revenge killing for as long as you have been alive (maybe) and that is why I chose him for this team. I also chose him last… The reason I chose Dugtrio, the best Pokemon triplet (stoopid metal eyeballs hehe trolololol) is because:
1. His typing: Rain teams tend to have problems with electricity and Dugtrio is a perfect counter. ALSO it completely screws over Volt Changers (*ahem* Rotom-W) who then have to sit in a Choiced item rut while their attacks do nothing and I can set up Rocks and attack them right back.
2. His ability: Since the Sandstorm inducer and Sunny Day inducer both have Earthquake weaknesses, winning the weather war just became that much easier. To top it off, Dugtrio is the greatest revenge killer of all time. And he's adorable.
3. He's adorable.
Set: Max Attack and Speed along with a Jolly nature to make Dugtrio extra speedy. Arena Trap is for trapping and the Focus Sash is for unleashing reversals power all over Tyranitar's face. Earthquake for STAB, Sucker Punch to revenge kill, Reversal to reverse, and Stealth Rock to stealth.
Possible Changes: There are a lot of possible changes, really. I could completely scrap the little guy in place of something else, like Breloom or something, or I can change his set. I could run the famed StoneQuake combo, or move Stealth Rock back to Ferrothorn and make him completely offensive. I could also change to a stranger, more unique set, which could be fun. Who knows…

And that's the end! I really could use some help, any help at all, and don't be afraid to completely tear the team up. Any help is appreciated, I am fairly new to OU! Thanks for reading!

Perish song is huge for politoed. i find it couples nicley with toxic as it allows u to guarantee a switch. however even on scarftoed it has its uses. breaks baton pass for one wich should be enough tbh. maybe in place of roost try waterfall or even earthquake for more coverage and help against sun and sand teams on dnite and to further abuse rain. Also this team is in dire need of rapid spin. ferro os great for checking wash rotom but without spin dnites scale is broken and tornadus is limited to switching in. maybe forretress could help, being able to set up SR avoid being rrapped by magnezone by volt switching on his own and adding the ever important rapid spin?

Would something like this be better than Jellicent? This can rapid spin and set up more hazards. I don't know about the EV spread though... Ideas?

Blissey and chansey are pretty big problems, but I think your worst problem is Skarmory. It's taunt shuts down Jelli and Ferro, it can deal massive damage to 'Loom, and it takes nothing from Tornadus, Dragonite, and Poli. How do you fix this problem?
Use magnazone instead of Breloom. Sure, teh loom haz da POWAH, but magnezone helps alot in your situation.
Magnazone @ Air Balloon/Lefties
Nature: Timid
Ability: magnet pull
EV's: 36 HP, 252 Sp Atk, 220 Spe
Moves:
Thunder
Charge beam
HP fire
Substitute
Magnezone covers all problems with rock and electric. It had great type synergy, resisting one super effective move from all other pokemon except ferro. It traps and kills skarmory and scizor, two big threats to your team. Sure, it might add to your blissey weakness, but even blissey can't last +2 180 BP Thunder's in rain.
Hope this helped!

Hey Glisgarnite, this is a really cool team.

The way I see it, Tornadus is your biggest offensive force. By choosing a hazard layer in Ferrothorn, reliable spin blocker in Jelli, and a Breloom to U-Turn to against things like Tyranitar, Bronzong, and Blissey perfectly you certainly have it supported well. You have the ideal synergy in your team for Scarftoed and Tornadus to really pull off sweeps, the only poke that isn't fitting into this picture is Dragonite. Sure, it's really really good, but you have weaknesses and I'd rather see you prioritize them with to go with the flow of the rest of the team.

Firstly, a Rapid Spin user or Magic Bounce poke would be really cool because Politoed needs to stay healthy to win weather wars obviously and Tornadus certainly doesn't like rocks. As for individual threats you have quite a weakness to Terrakion and opposing Tornadus- you need to send out Politoed or Tornadus in rak's case to revenge both and with Rotom-W/Celebi being such popular Terrakion partners and Ferrothorn being a popular Tornadus counter this puts you in a compromising position. A bulky Nasty Plot Celebi also sounds quite nasty to come into throughout a game, because if you want to use a Lum DD set it should be using 3 attacks to go with the one free set up. A Wish CM Jirachi is starting to sound good to me over Dragonite. You don't hard counter any of these threats but it does become quite a bit easier to live life against them and has more chances to sweep with your team's support than Dragonite. It also gives you quite a nice check to Gengar and Reuniclus who both look really annoying once they get in. Here's a draft of the set I'm thinking-

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature- Bold
EVs- 252 HP, 216 Def, 40 SpD
-Wish
-Calm Mind
-Thunder
-Water Pulse

As for individual sets, I would like to see Toed using Surf over Focus Blast, Focus Blast only 2HKOes Ferro with a Specs set and I like the both Surf/Hydro for reliability and power when the situation calls, for example Hydro Pump lets you OHKO Tornadus if you need to and 2HKO a lot of Rotom-W BUT it will miss when you need it to revenge something.

Run both SR and Spikes on Ferro IMO, it shouldn't be trying to last forever with the bulky offense theme of this team and the extra hazards with a spin blocker really help put pressure on the opponent to win weather wars and open up sweeps. I would use both Power Whip and Gyro Ball in the last slots for general utility.

Surf vs. Scald is a preference call on Jelli, so I'll leave that up to you.

Lastly, make Hurricane and U-Turn the first two moves on Tornadus because those are the only two moves it really needs to know.

Good luck! Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be sure you understood where my ideas were coming from, this is a team I could see myself using.
