[OVERVIEW]
In a tier lacking hazard removal options, Fletchinder shines as the premier defogger, preventing teams from being weak to hazards. Fletchinder also provides a Ground-immunity which is very rare, preventing one of the biggest threat of the tier Piloswine Choice Band from spamming Ground-moves. Fletchinder's great Speed and defensive typing allow it to check common physical threats such as Raboot and Thwackey and to punish them with Flame Body. Fletchinder is best used in Balance teams that wants a good way of dealing with stack hazards team and that don't want to be blocked by Ghost-types to remove hazards.

[SET]
Utility (Fletchinder) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- U-turn / Taunt / Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

[SET COMMENTS]
Fletchinder's most precious tool is Defog, a very rare move in the tier that, combined with its good Speed and defensive typing, make it shine as the best defogger of the tier as it has a good MU into hazards setters like Quilladin, and Piloswine, while checking a lot of physical attackers such as Pignite, Piloswine, Scraggy, Thwackey, Raboot, and Monferno. Brave Bird hits Fighting and Grass-types. Roost gives Fletchinder more longevity by healing it. U-turn can be used to pivot on Pokemons that come for free on Fletchinder such as Sliggoo-Hisui and Seadra, thus giving you the momentum. Taunt is an option to help dealing with defensive walls such as Tinkatuff and Dunsparce. Will-O-Wisp hinders physical attackers such as Krokorok and Piloswine. With its ability Flame Body, Fletchinder punishes Pokemons that spam U-turn such as the aforementioned Thwackey and Raboot. 252 HP / 252 Speed with a Jolly nature takes advantage of Fletchinder's good Speed, outspeeding offensive threats such as Monferno and Servine while being bulky enough to check a plethora of Pokemons.

Fletchinder fits best in balance teams looking for a good way of dealing with hazards. Seadra is the most common defensive teammate to Fletchinder, as Fletchinder being able to remove hazards mean your team can run Seadra over Quaxwell, which is bulkier, faster, and more powerful. Seadra helps dealing with Pokemon that has access to Knock Off such as Pignite and Monferno so Fletchinder can keep its much needed Heavy-Duty Boots, while also providing a solid Ice-type resist to prevent Choice Band Piloswine from spamming Icicle Crash, meanwhile Fletchinder provides the Ground-immunity to prevent it from spamming Earthquake. These two Pokemons also punish physical attackers thanks to Flame Body and Poison Point, and can also form a solid VoltTurn defensive core with U-turn and Flip Turn. Sliggoo-Hisui is an excellent offensive partner to Fletchinder, as it is able to check Water, Rock, and Electric-types that all take advantage of Fletchinder's passivity, while checking specially offensive Pokemons that threaten Fletchinder like Drakloak and Frogadier. However, other special walls such as Tinkatuff and Dunsparce are also good option as they appreciate Fletchinder's ability to check common physical threats such as Pignite and Piloswine, while Fletchinder appreciate their ability to check common special threats such as Girafarig, Drakloak and Frogadier. Offensive Pokemons that can't afford to play Heavy-Duty Boots such as Choice Specs Drakloak, Monferno, and Piloswine appreciate Fletchinder's ability to remove entry hazards. Koffing can serves as a Knock Off absorber for Fletchinder, allowing it to keep its Heavy-Duty Boots, and Fletchinder can check Ground-types that usually take advantage of Koffing such as Krokorok and Piloswine. Glimmet being able to come on Fletchinder and set hazards up can quickly become overwhelming for your team, so Pokemons that take advantage of it like Sliggoo-Hisui, Girafarig and Krokorok pair well with Fletchinder. Wallbreakers like Gabite, Choice Specs Girafarig, and Choice Band Piloswine that have a hard time coming on the field appreciate Fletchinder's ability to pivot with U-turn.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Eviolite can be used over Heavy-Duty Boots to provide more bulk to Fletchinder, it is an especially good option if your team has another way of removing entry hazards such as Quaxwell and Wartortle, or Hattrem to deter the opponent from setting them up, otherwise Fletchinder will suffer from taking 50% on Stealth Rocks every time it comes on the field. Since Fletchinder comes on several Knock Off users, Thief can be used to steal opponent's Eviolite, serving as a Knock Off absorber. A bulkier spread can be used with 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe and with a Impish nature to help checking powerful wallbreakers such as Pignite and Piloswine, while outspeeding Pignite Adamant. A spread with 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 Spe with a Jolly nature outspeeds Fraxure to burn it with Will-O-Wisp while being bulkier, notably tanking Icicle Crash from Choice Band Piloswine.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-Types**: Seadra, Quaxwell and Wartortle threaten Fletchinder with Surf while being able to take the momentum with Flip Turn, or to get a setup opportunity with Shell Smash in Wartortle's case.

**Rock-Types**: Fletchinder has no way of hitting Rock-types such as Glimmet and Naclstack, meaning it won't be able to effectively keep hazards off the field as they can both come and set hazards up again.

**Electric-Types**: Fletchinder usually does not run a Fire-type move, so Electric-types such as Pikachu, Eelektrik and Chinchou come freely on it and threaten it with Electric moves, notably Volt Switch that will give the momentum to the opponent.

**Special Attackers**: Due to Fletchinder usually clicking utility moves, special attackers such as Drakloak, Sliggoo-Hisui and Frogadier can come on it without risking to faint and threaten it.

**Special Setups**: Fletchinder being pretty passive means it gives free opportunities to setup for special attackers such as Duosion, Girafarig and Wartortle.

I like it, maybe I would mention that Glimmet is one of the entry hazards mon that can scary it, maybe even Krok, so then you mention Pokémon that can help fletch against them. Maybe you could try to find Pokémon that can abuse U-turn Fletch?

Thanks to its good Speed and its typing, Fletchinder is able to check a lot of physical attackers such as Pignite, Piloswine, Scraggy, Thwackey, Raboot, and Monferno (i think you can combine all these sentences into 1. it's a good defogger because of these attributes, not just because it has defog as we can see with vullaby, dartrix, etc. i would maybe touch on it's good matchup into hazard setters like pilo, quill, gabite, etc). With its ability Flame Body, Fletchinder punishes Pokemons that spam U-turn such as the aforementioned Thwackey and Raboot (the sentence about ability is after the move sentences, typically the structure is moves -> ability (if applicable) -> item (if applicable) -> EVs (if applicable) -> nature (if applicable). Brave Bird hits Fighting and Grass-types. Roost gives Fletchinder more longevity by healing it. U-turn can be used to pivot on Pokemons that come for free on Fletchinder such as Sliggoo-Hisui and Seadra, thus giving you the momentum. Taunt is an option to help dealing with defensive walls such as Tinkatuff and Dunsparce. same with scraggy analysis, mention teams that this fletchinder set would normally fit on.
