Close Combat 2HKOes Necrozma-DM and Alomomola, while OHKOing offensive Primal Kyogre after Stealth Rock. U-turn lets Pheromosa scout for defensive Terastallizations that it can draw from foes like Arceus-Dark and Zygarde early-game and maintain momentum. Triple Axel 2HKOes Giratina-O and Eternatus and threatens an OHKO on Yveltal while also breaking Focus Sash on Smeargle and Deoxys-A leads. Rapid Spin clears entry hazards to keep offensive Flying-type teammates like Yveltal and Mega Salamence safe. Tera Fighting enhances its wallbreaking, turning normally bulky Pokémon like Dondozo and Primal Groudon into 2HKO targets. It relies on teammates to handle major threats such as Alomomola and Arceus-Fairy, who can punish Pheromosa's frailty after it attacks. Gothitelle is an excellent partner, trapping Ho-Oh and other defensive walls to allow Pheromosa to pressure remaining targets more freely. Strong setup sweepers like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Ground, and Mega Salamence can take advantage of the openings Pheromosa creates.

Strong setup sweepers like Double Dance Primal Groudon as Phero is more of a balance-BO option it'd want bulkier PDon sets, there's multiple setup variants, so just name dropping it does the job given the context here, it also takes less space so that's a bonus, Arceus-Ground, and Mega Salamence can take advantage of the openings Pheromosa creates.
