With a Choice Scarf, Landorus becomes a devastating revenge killer for Flying teams, being able to outspeed and check the likes of Raging Bolt, the Ogerpon formes, and Volcarona. Earth Power handily removes Steel-, Fire-, and Electric-types such as Archaludon, Iron Moth, and Raging Bolt. Sludge Wave checks the Ogerpon formes after minor chip damage as well as Fairy-types like Iron Valiant and Primarina. Rock Slide can enable Landorus to handily deal with +1 Volcarona along with Flying-types such as Moltres and Articuno, while Focus Blast with a Timid nature can deal with Air Balloon threats like Iron Treads and Heatran along with Ice- and Dark-types such as Kyurem and non-Choice Scarf Darkrai. Lastly, U-turn can keep up momentum for Flying teams along with checking Hoopa-U.
Landorus enjoys teammates like Moltres and Skarmory that can come in on faster threats like Triple Axel from Choice Scarf Meowscarada and Ice Shard from Mamoswine and Weavile and pressure them back with Flamethrower and Body Press, respectively. Moltres can further assist Landorus by threatening Skarmory and Corviknight and using U-turn to pivot it in. Skarmory can reliably set entry hazards like Spikes to wear down would-be switch-ins such as Swampert and Assault Vest Gallade and use Whirlwind to prevent setup from the likes of Belly Drum Azumarill. Corviknight can check Flutter Mane for Landorus along with providing Defog support to prevent Landorus from being worn down by Stealth Rock. Gliscor set entry hazards while being able to use Toxic to put checks to Landorus like Mandibuzz, Sinistcha, and Ting-Lu on a timer. Articuno can check Water- and opposing Flying-types such as Walking Wake, Pelipper, and Gliscor with Freeze-Dry while taking Ice Beam from threats such as Latios and Greninja comfortably. Dragonite is a strong physical wallbreaker that is capable of removing special walls like Blissey and Ting-Lu while apprecating Landorus's ability to removal physical walls like Hippowdon and Galarian Weezing. With Dragon Dance and Roost, Dragonite can also serve as a solid gameplan against Water-type threats such Barraskewda. Assault Vest Tornadus-T can sponge special attacks from threats like Choice Scarf Spectrier and Hisuian Zoroark and use Knock Off to deal with them as well as removing Assault Vest from threats like Gallade and and Primarina.
