Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
- Heat Crash

Groudon has pushed back its chair and stepped into the spotlight, reasserting itself as one of the most dangerous Ubers presences in the current metagame. Leveraging its amazing bulk and flawless coverage, Groudon can use its Ground typing and Tera Fire to set up on a large portion of the metagame including Zacian-C, Eternatus, and many support Arceus sets. Stone Edge dispatches Ho-oh, and Heat Crash can take out airborne Steel-types like Air Balloon Kingambit and Tera Steel Giratina-O. With both a Swords Dance and Tera Fire boost, Heat Crash also take out physically defensive Landorus-T and Gliscor, both of which are outpaced by Groudon with 44 Speed EVs. Tera Fire also allows Groudon to lay into Ho-oh and Will-o-Wisp Arceus, both of which are solid checks when inflicting a fast burn. Physical attackers like Arceus, Zacian-C, and Koraidon appreciate Groudon's help to overwhelm shared checks like Landorus-T, Ho-oh, and Dondozo. Groudon's amazing bulk lets it serve as a defensive anchor on offensive teams, often able to sponge a hit from powerful sweepers like Arceus, Lunala, and Zacian-C.

The two important things Heat Crash gets you is the OHKO on Lando-T after Tera Fire at +1 and a possibility to 2HKO Lunala without worrying about missing.

Fix all spellings of "Ho-Oh" and maybe add Dondozo on something that Koraidon + Groudon can overwhelm;

I'd argue you should mention that some important defensive Arceus formes are very good checks regardless of you Tera-ing such as Arceus-Water and -Ground but I haven't QCed a spotlight in a hot sec so maybe you're out of characters :Smogjynx:

How should I reword this better?

also; I was under the impression Groudon beat all Arceus forms (excluding T-wave BS and Foul Play Arceus Dark) because it avoids the 2HKO from Judgement and Ice Beam.
0 SpA Splash Plate Arceus-Water Judgment vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Tera Fire Groudon in Sun: 164-194 (41.6 - 49.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery.

just msg on discord so I can fix before going onto GP :heart:

edit: resolved now
