[SET COMMENTS]

  • By having wide coverage to bluff offensive pressure alongside a Speed tier above the vast majority of the metagame, Deoxys-A can act as a formidable entry hazard setter that can also compress roles as a wallbreaker, filling a niche in hyper offense teams.
  • Psycho Boost acts as a strong STAB move that limits Glimmora to only set a single entry hazard at most, and has high odds to OHKO Eruption Primal Groudon. Counter is an alternative to OHKO foes such as Necrozma-DM and Ho-Oh after luring an attack while having its Focus Sash intact, giving a chance for Deoxys-A to play around such checks.
  • Shadow Ball provides coverage to super effecitvely target anti-leads such as Necrozma-DM and Deoxys-S, avoiding passivity and giving the rest of its team an easier chance to break past them by wearing them down.
  • Icy Wind allows Deoxys-A to anti-lead Deoxys-S, enabling Deoxys-A to outspeed and KO it with Shadow Ball afterwards. This move can also be used to wear down setup sweepers like Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM and Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, rendering them easier to revenge kill by mitigating their stat boosts on Speed.
  • Tera Steel grants an immunity to Glimmora's Mortal Spin, giving the situational use to preserve entry hazards on the other side of the field.
  • By keeping Deoxys-A for the mid-game instead of leading with it, it can bluff as another set variant of itself, allowing it to set entry hazards mid-game on expected switches. This strategy is usually ideal if the foe is likely to lead with a Pokemon that Deoxys-A can't play around depending on its set, such as Yveltal for sets without Icy Wind, and Grimmsnarl for any variant out of Taunt, but entry hazards should be kept out of its side of the field to ensure Deoxys-A can use its Focus Sash.
  • As the offensive pressure of Deoxys-A relies on forcing the opponent to scout its moveset, it's best to not unecessarily reveal parts of its moveset unless the situation calls for it.
  • Deoxys-A can struggle to get past Defoggers such as Ho-Oh, Yveltal, and Arceus-Dark, and Steel-types including Necrozma-DM and Ferrothorn, therefore allies such as Tera Electric Zacian-C, Marshadow, and double dance Primal Groudon make great allies to wallbreak past them.
  • Several hyper offense Pokemon such as Necrozma-DM, Arceus-Ground, and Eternatus appreciate the entry hazards laid by Deoxys-A to more often threaten the opposing team with a sweep by wearing down their checks and punishing switching.

  • Shadow Ball provides coverage to super effecitvely target super effectively anti-leads including such as Necrozma-DM, and Deoxys-S, avoiding passivity and giving the rest of its team an easier chance to wallbreak Deoxys-S isn't a wall, and Necrozma-DM usually isn't past them by becoming worn down wearing them down.
  • Icy Wind allows Deoxys-A to anti-lead Deoxys-S, enabling Deoxys-A to outspeed and KO it with Shadow Ball afterwards. • Deoxys-A can bluff as another variant of itself by being kept for the mid-game instead of leading with it. As this often forces the opponent to play safe and switch, Deoxys-A can use the momentum gained to lay entry hazards, this strategy is usually ideal if the foe is likely to lead with a Pokemon that Deoxys-A can't play around depending on its set, but entry hazards should be preserved out of the field to ensure Deoxys-A can use its Focus Sash. Reword this point, it was hard to follow

Mention how generic HO mons are the ideal partners for this set
