VGC Porygon2 (Done)

* Porygon2 is one of the bulkiest Pokemon in the format with Eviolite, which allows it to set up Trick Room for it and its partners and beat most Pokemon in the format one-on-one with Recover. With a Download Special Attack boost, it is able to OHKO Pokemon such as the Landorus formes, Tornadus, and Dragonite with Ice Beam.

* Porygon2 appreciates redirection, damage reduction, and Fake Out support to set up Trick Room and to allow it to Recover safely, making Amoonguss, Ogerpon-W, Gouging Fire, and Incineroar excellent partners. Amoonguss especially benefits from Trick Room, since it is able to utilize its low Speed under Trick Room to incapacitate foes with Spore. Ursaluna is also a great partner for Porygon2, since, as a slow and offensive Pokemon, it appreciates Trick Room letting it deal great damage to faster foes that threaten it outside of Trick Room like Flutter Mane and Urshifu. This damage output is something that Porygon2 lacks.

* Porygon2 struggles against Snarl, Taunt, Amoonguss, Incineroar, and Urshifu. Snarl makes it deal significantly less damage, which allows opponents to ignore it without being punished. Taunt removes valuable options from Porygon2 such as Trick Room and Recover. Spore from Amoonguss can stop Trick Room setups and makes Porygon2 vulnerable to strong attacks such as Close Combat from Urshifu, Moonblast from Flutter Mane, and Sacred Sword from Chien-Pao without being able to heal the damage off with Recover. Amoonguss also underspeeds Porygon2, punishing Trick Room setups, meaning that once Trick Room is set up, Amoonguss can Spore Porygon2 before it attacks, removing its access to recovery and damage. Incineroar pressures Fake Out, which helps stop Trick Room. Additionally, Incineroar can use Knock Off to remove the Eviolite from Porygon2, making it easier to KO. Finally, Urshifu can threaten Porygon2 with a 2HKO with Close Combat if Porygon2 does not Terastallize.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Level: 50
Ability: Download

[SET COMMENTS]

* Tera Blast is used as strong Normal-type STAB move that offers coverage once Porygon2 Terastallizes. When Tera Blast is paired with a Download Attack boost, Tera Blast becomes a physical move when Porygon2 Terastallizes. This allows you to hit Assault Vest users like Raging Bolt and Rillaboom harder, as well as Pokemon with high base Special Defense such as Flutter Mane. Ice Beam is used as coverage against Landorus and Amoonguss, and Recover is used for longevity, allowing it to set Trick Room up multiple times.

* With the bulk investment bolstered by the Eviolite, this Porygon2 always survives three Sacred Swords from Chien-Pao, Timid Choice Specs Chi-Yu Overheat, and two Moonblasts from Special Attack Booster Energy Flutter Mane. It also almost always lives a Sword of Ruin Close Combat from Adamant Urshifu.

* Tera Poison is the main Tera Type for Porygon2. It offers resistances to Grass-, Fighting-, and Fairy-type attacks, which are important against Rillaboom, Urshifu, and Flutter Mane respectively, as well as offering a solid overall defensive typing. Additionally, it allows you to hit Grass- and Fairy-types like Rillaboom, Ogerpon-W, and Tera Fairy Flutter Mane for supereffecive damage with Tera Blast. Tera-Fairy is used to wall Urshifu and hit it and Raging Bolt for supereffective damage. Tera Flying is used to hit Grass- and Fighting-Types like Urshifu, Ogerpon, and Rillaboom. Additionally, it makes Porygon2 immune to Earthquake from Ursaluna, giving its partner a valuable spread move. Finally, Tera Ghost is used for an immunity to Fighting Type attacks and Fake Out, as well as giving it the ability to hit Flutter Mane.

Good job, I'll be having another look to see how you go!

Add, Remove, Highlight, Comment.

* Porygon2 is one of the best defensive (Defensive is a bit of a weird label for VGC, as Pokemon either support your team/distrupt the opponent's or are a offensive Pokemon themselves, I think 'one of bulkiest Pokemon in the format with Eviolite' would be better, and would make it more objective.) Pokemon in the game, having good natural bulk and access to Eviolite. Porygon-2 has a very wide movepool, with access to great supporting moves like Eerie Impulse and Trick Room (Recommend looking at stats when sayng this, Eerie Impulse and Tbolt have next to 0 usage. Clarifying that it can use the bulk to set Trick Room is ideal.). With a Download Special Attack boost, it is able to OHKO Pokemon such as the Landorus Formes, Urshifu-R, Tornadus, and Dragonite.

* Porygon2's best trait is its bulk which allows it to stick on the field. Porygon2 appreciates redirection, Intimidate, and Fake Out users such as, making Amoonguss, Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom and Incineroar excellent partners, Intimidate users such as Incineroar and Landorus-T, and redirection and healing from Amoonguss to allowing it to do its job most effectively. (The way it was worded was repetitive and not descriptive so switching to this format helps keep everything together. What does P2 do for them in return? Think Ice Beam and Trick Room specifically.)

* Porygon2 is weak to Pokemon that spam Snarl, Amoonguss, and Incineroar. Snarl makes it deal significantly less damage, which allows your the opponent to repeatedly attack ignore it (The main thing is that P2 becomes a sitting duck, attacking something useless on the field doesn't do much esp if it has Recover.) without being punished. Spore from Amoonguss can stop Trick Room setups and it can put Porygon2 into positions where it has to take multiple consecutive attacks without being able to heal the damage off make Porygon2 vulnerable. Incineroar pressures Fake Out and an attack from a partner, giving you a higher chance to KO Porygon2 which helps stop Trick Room. Additionally, Incineroar can use Knock Off to remove the Eviolite from Porygon2, making it easier to KO. (Paragraph was a bit wordy.)

* Tera Blast is used as strong Normal-Type STAB that offers coverage if you Tera, Thunderbolt is used as coverage to hit Water-Types like Urshifu-R, Ice Beam is used as coverage for Grass-, Flying-, Dragon-, and Ground-Types like Rillaboom, Tornadus, Landorus, and Raging Bolt, (Is it really? If it isn't an OHKO IMO it'd be something Porygon2 or its teammates might be worried about, think Landorus which is almost unwallable, and Amoonguss which stops TR, but is there anything else?)Trick Room is used to support its slow partners, and Eerie Impulse and Recover are is used for longevity, allowing for opportunities to set Trick Room multiple times. (Huge detail.)

* Eviolite is used to increase Porygon2's bulk.

* This Porygon2 always survives 3 Sacred Swords, Timid Choice Specs Chi-Yu Overheat, 2 Moonblasts from Special Attack Booster Energy Flutter Mane, and 1 Sword of Ruin Close Combat from both Formes of Urshifu.

Also the Flutter Mane resist is huge.), as well as offering a solid overall defensive typing. Additionally, it allows you to hit Grass- and Fairy-Types like Rillaboom, Ogerpon-W, and Fairy-Tera Flutter Mane for supereffecive damage with Tera Blast. Tera-Fairy is used to wall Urshifu and hit Raging Bolt and both formes of Urshifu (You pick up the ko on both so consider adding it to move comments..) for supereffective damage. Finally, Tera-Ghost is used for an immunity to Fighting-Type attacks and Fake Out, as well as giving it the ability to hit Flutter Mane for supereffective damage with Tera Blast.

Gm, can mark as QC 1/2!

* Porygon2 is one of the bulkiest Pokemon in the format with Eviolite, which allows it to set up (Space) Trick Room for it and its partners. With a Download Special Attack boost, it is able to OHKO Pokemon such as the Landorus Formes, Urshifu-R, (Believe you need to be Terastallized for this.) Tornadus, and Dragonite.

Porygon2 appreciates redirection, Intimidate, and Fake Out support to set up Trick Room and Recover safely, making Amoonguss, Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom and Incineroar excellent partners, allowing it to do its job most effectively. (Fits better as you explain why it needs them. Also like I mentioned in earlier QC, mention how Porygon2 helps beat certain threats for them or let them abuse Trick Room. Recommend bringing up other stuff that love tr as partners)

* Porygon2 is weak to Snarl, Amoonguss, and Incineroar. Snarl makes it deal significantly less damage, which allows opponents to ignore it without being punished. Spore from Amoonguss can stop Trick Room setups and makes Porygon2 vulnerable. Incineroar pressures Fake Out which helps stop Trick Room. * Porygon2 is one of the bulkiest Pokemon in the format with Eviolite, which allows it to set up Trick Room for it and its partners (not just that though, it's one of the few walls in vgc. Idk how you would phrase this but maybe add something like "with recover, it can 1v1 the majority of the meta"). With a Download Special Attack boost, it is able to OHKO Pokemon such as the Landorus Formes, Tornadus, and Dragonite with Ice Beam.

* Porygon2's best trait is its bulk which allows it to stick on the field. (You just mentioned this) Porygon2 appreciates redirection, Intimidate, and Fake Out support to set up Trick Room and to allow it to Recover safely, making Amoonguss, Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom and Incineroar excellent partners. (At EUIC, a single team within the top 256 had Rillaboom, and even then it was on a Gouging Fire team so I'm not sure on the Rillaboom inclusion. Ogerpon-wellspring has a stronger argument but you may want to mention Gouging as well at this point as a partner since 5/7 of CP placing Ogerpon Wellspring P2 teams also featured Gouging Fire as well as Kingambit.) Amoonguss especially benefits due to being able to utilize it's low speed under Trick Room to incapacitate foes with Spore. (phrase this added sentence how you want, just important to mention) Ursaluna is also a great partner for Porygon2, since it appreciates Trick Room and deals great damage in Trick Room, something that Porygon2 lacks.

* Porygon2 is weak to struggles against Snarl, Amoonguss, Taunt (mention this too in a sentence), and Incineroar. Snarl makes it deal significantly less damage, which allows opponents to ignore it without being punished. Spore from Amoonguss can stop Trick Room setups and makes Porygon2 vulnerable. (It also underspeeds P2 under tr, important to note) Incineroar pressures Fake Out which helps stop Trick Room. Additionally, Incineroar can use Knock Off to remove the Eviolite from Porygon2, making it easier to KO. (mention certain offensive threats too, like urshifu)
