Concerning Substitutions: At any point in time during the week, a team may make a substitution for an inactive player. In order to do this, a manager must post in the thread, tagging the hosts, the opposing managers and the opposing player stating which player is substituting out, and which player is substituting in. A player that has substituted out for a week cannot be substituted back in. In addition, in order to catch any attempts at garnering favorable matchups (where the lineup you choose affects pairings), all substitutions are subject to veto by the hosts if the substitution is suspected to be attempting to “game” the system.

Monopoke additionally does not count for Weekly Standings, its purely a for-fun slot. I'll update the players for slots when they get chosen, for those without players immediately.

These aren't serious predicts. I just compared the second last character in each username and picked whoever's came latest. If there were a tie, I then compared the second character. Numbers are ordered before alphabet characters (which are ordered before punctuation but thankfully that needn't be taken into consideration). Notably, Nalei and D2TheW were chosen despite having their second last character be the 5th letter in the alphabet. Bopher did too, but Bopher and Mishlef technically tied in the race for having the later second-last character. Also, every person who has '1v1' appended to their username was predicted, as well as everyone who has a '!' in their name. Bomb21XD and SiceXV had the lastest, at 'X', while parr0t had the earliest, at '0'. The biggest margin of victory was Squirtell 1v1's victory over Jamez155, at a whopping 26! That's the same difference as if I subtracted 0 from 26!

The purpose of this set of "predictions" is to see how random and unpredictable 1v1 can be. I'll be back next week with a different arbitrary reason for predicting. (Please don't hurt me)

Hctc posterized denis in a hax-free series, whereas dogknees won pretty convincingly vs bopher despite drunk me professing my love for bopher as a captain in the game chat. I clearly underestimated these players and I think this series could be really indicative of who be outstanding this pl)
SS Bo5: Aliss vs Murman0064 (alice played great and beat zio, whereas murman brought lickitung. both won so props to them, but I feel like alice is a clear step above murman in ss, especially with hctc support)
SS Bo5: not a racist vs Itchyfoot (my previous opponent vs the man who definitely won't tell you who's in paris. rhyperiors ss is looking impressive this tour, and I'm not sure itchy outpaces nate in clicking by any wide margin. I'll also be supporting my "dope ass people" homie this series, which seemed to work for frosty)
SM Bo5: TheShadowClaw vs Boat (fuck it, boat's winning this. he smashed acii last week with impressive teams and solid picks. this is not to discount beating edgar--which is impressive--but I think boat is motivated on a different level this tour. SM Bo5: Lancer Fr vs Akumajou (oh man, I'm not sure. I'd like to see my skewda brother go even this week, but suste surpassed my expectations last week in beating lbdc. I think this is a close match, but suste probably pulls through with what seems to be substantial bandit/boat sm support)
ORAS Bo5: Joker 1v1 vs OM (big OM fan but I doubt he wins this one. joker brings exactly the right amount of weird shit to catch om's steel spam + fat off guard, so he probably takes this in the builder)
BW Bo5: eblurb vs Quantum Tesseract (wasn't sure what to think about qt in bw last week but I think he's pretty outclassed by the blurb here. eblurb managed to scrounge up enough teams to take stable to 5, so he'll probably manage to beat qt here with some dnite nonsense)

SS Bo5: Tricking vs Rellia (much like last week, I think both are mostly clickers and I don't see rellia pilot nalei teams or build much, so tricking might have the prep advantage. I wasn't really impressed by either's series last week, but rellia won so maybe advantage to them?)
SS Bo5: zio vs Adela (kinda just a gut feeling here. god knows why rosa didn't start adela week 1, but I'm glad they're playing now. zio might be somewhat inconsistent but I think he'll probably take this one anyway)

BW Bo5: STABLE vs Rosa (rosa lost to maki with crucify support, which makes them quantifiably identical to eblurb. stable, on the other hand, beat eblurb. philosophy class taught me that by the closure principle, if a implies b and b implies c then a implies c, so if maki = eblurb, maki>rosa, and stable > eblurb, then stable > rosa)

SM Bo5: Lancer Fr vs Akumajou - no doubts abt sust anymore. watching Tiffany play sm makes my pp hard and although this is a hl match I have no doubt about the winner.

SS Bo5: Aliss vs Murman0064 (70-30) - think alice has a solid edge here coming off a good win vs zio, though perhaps wish + tect lickitung is the SS innovation that we needed and he has more in store to catch alice off guard
SS Bo5: not a racist vs Itchyfoot (55-45) - nar reverse swept tricking last week and looked pretty solid while doing it, itchyfoot put up a lot stronger fight then i thought they were going to vs waylaid so props to them. favoring nar here because of the legendary eblurb ss support

SS Bo7: DenisTheMenace vs Nalei (49-51) - everyones been saying it but Nalei is in fact at the top of her game and is the best player in the ss pool right now so its hard to predict against them, creative teams as always backed up with great picking. denis is still denis though, something just felt off about him last week, from his teams to his play. he needs to trust himself and his gut more and i think he knows it. this is the first week in what feels like forever that people are actually predicting against la minaccia, including myself, but i will not be surprised at all if he wins this because of that fact. hl of the week
SS Bo5: Tricking vs Rellia (51-49) - I really don't know. people are def underestimating tricking, and I think after last week zio is gonna take control of ss building more so I guess i'll bold him. Rellia is def good though, good win w good teams last week
SS Bo5: zio vs Adela (65-35) - similar story to denis, when zio trusts his gut and instapicks hes really good and he has good teams, he just needs to do it. was surprised to not see adela starting w1, I think they are decent but not enough to beat zio.
SM Bo5: Freddy Kyogre vs frostyicelad (60-40) - both won, freddy had impeccable mus vs joker while frosty did not but still won, but i'm still gonna pick freddy here as they are in good form between ttt and w1

SS Bo7: Mishlef vs Bopher (45-55) - ayy mishlef in the cut, i think hes solid and putting him in bo7 for his first match is definitely interesting. bopher lost but is still bopher, one of the most creative and solid builders in ss rn, so hes favored here.
SS Bo5: XSTATIC COLD vs lvl100Blaziken (65-35) - xsc is still xsc, i think hes gonna be out for blood after last week too so hes a heavy favorite. don't know much about lvl100Blaziken besides that he had a good run in the last ssnl.
SS Bo5: Urfgurgle vs Waylaid (40-60) - I've heard good things about urfgurgle but have to favor waylaid here, he had a bruh moment or two in his last series which idt he will let happen again.
SM Bo5: Close vs LBDC (60-40) - super hype mu, both really solid sm players but have to favor close, hes in really good form and has good support
SM Bo5: Kentari vs AltCauseImInsecure (65-35) - kentari is def not crust he looks like he is in great form between 3-1 wc and winning while giving up a timer win w1 LOOOL based, acii did not look good against boat but i've heard that he was one of the best sm players in the past so if he reclaims that form he can take it
