Hey, so I was thinking about joining the Classic Pokemon RPG. Before I do, however, can you kind of explain what's been going on and what I need to do before I join?

how do i get started in the classic pokemon rpg?

Yes, Torkoal evo with Solid Rock and Roost (haha)!
Dinoloom WOULD be that bad. Resists rock and water, pretty good already. And it's got pretty OK defenses to boot.
Crustle not as a rock, but as a mountain or a volcano or something made of chrome, or a building or something!
HINDENFLOON THAT SOUNDS COOL.
Castform sorely needs a sand form... and fog will never be an insta weather... please...
But it would be kinda cool and totally kill the accuracy of stone edge and focus blast and other 70 acc. stuff. And keen eye or some ability like that could be no accuracy loss in fog (or even better, accuracy increase).

Solorock and Lunatone evos would be awesome! Maybe a pre-evo and an evo to that one so that they can end up like the Hitmon' family.
Shuckle I don't think will be getting an evo any time soon...
Heracross evo would destroy EVERYTHING
I'm thinking that Gen 6, if it does bring any evos they'll likely be for Gen 3-5 pokemon, so I'm totally with you on the TORKOAL EVO!! +2 for massively defensive fire types!! Imagine the crazy walling with around 175 base def and Will-O-Wisp O_O I always loved good ol' Torkoal.
Stunfisk, I don't think so, it's gonna go down in history with Farfetch'd and Delibird.
Perhaps a Manectric, TROPIUS, or Kecleon evo? Or Zangoose and Seviper (although I doubt those two)?

Rock type is pretty fail like that... sucks for Lunatone and Solorock... pretty much the worst typing along with Grass/Psychic. I hate how it's super effective on Bug and yet Bug still hits neutral also...

When 99.9% of Blissey you face use Seismic Toss, yes, then a random Flamethrower takes you off guard.

Well, if you can take care of Ferrothorn and possibly Blissey, then I would recommend a CM Virizion. It can take on many Rain stall teams that plague the meta atm with ease, though you should watch out for Rain Volcarona. Rain offense could be an issue, but seeing as none of them would like Draco Meteor, except for maybe Scizor, it won't be much of an issue. And even then, it will just open up a sweep. As a guy already said at your thread, Justified is released.

For the stall war, I lost, due early game surprises, the biggest being Flamethrower Blissey.

Back to topic, how about you try something like Celebi or Virizion for rain teams?

What seems to the problem with Heatran and Gengar?

Very true, like "lillipup" (so many lines) or Egypt (so many downward facing letters)
And some other words I cannot think of off the top of my head.
