Realgam Tower
( Data Thread | Rewards )
Hidden within the sands of Orre is a tower once inhabited by the violent organization known as Team Cipher. Now rid of the evil, the Tower welcomes those willing to battle against simulacra of world-renowned trainers. It's also renowned for allowing to train large batches of Pokémon at once, increasing team synergy, and is often swarmed with visitors and tourists curious to see novel strategies in action. Strangely enough, at the top floor of the Tower, in the most luxurious office, sits a Turtwig plushie.
Realgam Tower tests a trainer's ability to teambuild against fixed opponents, and then see the battle through against an asymmetric arena. Boot up a Battle CD, and have fun!
For Entry
- Players and referees must be T.Lv2 or higher.
- Each challenge consists of one battle, referred to as a "simulation" or "sim", against an opponent with a randomly selected team.
- Typically, this takes the form of several numbered slots, each with several Pokemon listed for that slot. At the start of the challenge, the ref uniformly randomly selects one Pokemon from each slot.
- Some items in the ref's Backpack may be listed by slot as well. For instance, if a line in the Backpack says "Slot 1: Miracle Seed/Charcoal/Mystic Water", then the Backpack will contain a Miracle Seed if the first Pokemon for slot 1 is rolled, a Charcoal if the second is, and a Mystic Water if the third is.
- The referee always sends out first.
- The referee is allowed to use Medicines from their Backpack on their Pokemon. Medicines can be subbed against in the same way moves can.
- All simulations have an associated maximum level. Challenger Pokemon above the maximum level for a sim will be de-leveled to that level. Ref Pokemon are assumed to be at that level unless specified otherwise.
- All rules not listed in the challenge data are default.
Battle Details
- At the start of the battle, the referee may choose Hidden Power types for each of their Pokemon that know the move. If the referee does not give their Pokemon a Hidden Power type at the start of the battle, it defaults to Normal.
- If one of the referee's Pokemon is capable of Mega Evolving, it will Mega Evolve at the first opportunity to unless specified otherwise.
- Traits of Pokemon on the referee's team cannot affect the team's Technique Control.

- Priority for refs to take simulations is as follows:
- Once your challenge has finished, claim your rewards in the Prize Claiming Thread. All rewards must be claimed in the same post.
- You may sign up for another challenge after your prize claim has been posted, regardless of if it has been approved.
Code:
[B]Challenge Thread (if any):[/B] Challenge Thread
[B]Simulation:[/B] Which sim you are challenging
[B]Boasts (if any):[/B] The boasts you have selected
[B]Backpack:[/B] The backpack you are bringing to your challenge
[B]Pokemon:[/B] Each Pokemon's info in Hide tags
Referee Expectations
The referee's goal is to win the battle. If the simulation has rewards for progress or partial completion, the ref is not to play with an eye towards the intermediate goals. If sacrificing battle progress causes the chance that the ref wins in the end to increase, they should do it. Conversely, the ref should not allow battle progress out of sympathy to the challenger, if preventing it would make it more likely that the ref emerges victorious. All other concerns are secondary to the ref attempting to win the battle in the end.
If there is a dispute over who gets to ref a challenge, refs with more ongoing Realgam Tower challenges should cede reffing opportunities to refs with fewer.
Refs must provide enough information in each of their posts to track progress without looking back through the battle.
Anyone may ref sims that typically grant only EXP and counters as rewards. The following users are allowed to ref all sims, regardless of reward.
