Maybe i overhyped it, i lost to it once and i was pretty impressed.

Now i post a set which worked very well for me;
Both in Mono Zekrom and in phase 2.

it cant get 1HKO due Sash,
Non Ground type pokes get paraiized and mostly 2HKOed.

Very good supportive set for HO teams.

That's more or less an old Gen V Zekrom set. I forget what item and moves the typical versions ran in the 3rd and 4th slots, but No Guard Zek is pretty old and, at one point, was probably its most common set, for some reason.

ok this set might look bad but it can sweep once you scout out the opponents movesets/items (rocky helmet), with some support - removing Rocky Helmet users and obviously hazards is important

Shadow Force is generally a pretty safe move, with the only common normals being Audino and Chansey, but SpDef Audino is ohkoed after rocks and Chansey's moveset usually doesnt it touch Shed. Don't use it if the opponent still has Rocky Helmet users, but according to usage stats, the most common holders of that are Regi and Aegi, which both take a ton/are ohkoed by PBlades.
Gunk Shot only really hits 1 Pokemon, Audino, but that's a really common so its worth the slot. Attack Order beats Gyarados, which somewhat commonly has Mold Breaker, and has a higher chance of killing TTar/not missing compared to Precipice Blades.

Adamant is probably better usually, since not much has between 358 and 392 speed (base 113ish to 129) - the only Pokemon that Jolly outspeeds are Rayquaza and Arceus, but Arceus doesnt take much at all so it's really only Rayquazas with Magma Storm


Moldy Pursuit also loses if sash is intact, since Shedinja can get off 2 shell smashes and then ohko the pursuit user.

Kind of a different set ig, this Groudon can beat FC stuff like Tina more than the other one can.

V-Create obviously smashes everything that isnt immune/has FC + resist, especially since this one has an effective SD boost. (do i really need calcs)

The main 2 resists that "commonly" carry Fur Coat, Giratina and Slowbro, are both smashed pretty hard by a +2 Draco; +3 if Groudon comes in on them for the first time.

Anyways, I've been using this and it's extremely successful, destroying balance and stall alike with its unholy sun-boosted, max attack adamant STAB V-Create. This thing is so strong that even resists get OHKOd by it. After a Shift Gear, everything dies to V-Create bar bulky Fur Coat users and the shit mon that is known as Primordial Sea Swadloon. 252 Speed EVs ensure that this unholy nuke to still outspeed Mewtwo Y at +1 after using V-Create after a Shift Gear. King Shield is a big kill yourself to Mega Rayquazas that think they can revenge kill with ate fake out and espeed. Max attack adamant to ensure everything turns into ashes after taking a V-Create. Download can give this monster a free +1 against those SpDef Regis and hit the incoming giratina hard.

Also before anyone say getting +1 is hard, this thing sets up on stuff like Registeel, Mega Audino, Mega Tyranitar and Mega Diancie (only once tho)

Er, how is this creative or underrated? PDon is in the A ranks, and it's for this set. I mean, you are running more speed investment than standard, but I'm not really seeing how you benefit from that. BP scrub's set, for instance, is a new one- this is just a repeat event. Kings Shield over synthesis is original, but I'm still not sure why it's so necessary.

I actually ran Taunt over King's Shield to make it harder for FC Tina without Dragon tail and Slowbro to check. Otherwise, Swadloon isn't needed to Imposter Proof, and Dragon Tail Giratina becomes viable. King's Shield is presumably to make it harder for -ates to revenge it, which is a possibility with lowered defenses from V-Create. However, this set isn't original at all - it took me almost zero thought to come up with - nor is it underrated, as Groudon rightfully belongs in A.

Mewtwo-Mega-X @ Safety Goggles/Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Storm Throw
- Bonemerang
- Ice Shard
- U-turn/Shadow Sneak/Dual Chop/King's Shield/Fake Out/Mach Punch

The main purpose of this guy is to break walls and lure in Gale Wings/Prankster Mega Rays. Depending on the fourth move it can also be used as a lure for mmy, Mega Gengar, or even -ate users. Safety Goggles make mmx immune to Prankster Spores but LO can be used for additional power (and to secure some additional KOs which I will mention below). A Jolly nature is used to outspeed all positive natured mons below 130 base speed and to also guarantee outspeeding any Mega Ray variant bar scarf (so that Ice Shard always hits first). Storm Throw is the staple move for Tech mmx which reaches an impressive 135 BP thanks to Tech boost and the 100% crit chance while having 100% accuracy (HJK has 130 BP and 90% acc in comparison). It is also unaffected by attack drops so KS will not affect its damage (it will obviously affect the other moves though). Bonemerang hits mainly Pdon and Aegislash and also breaks sashes and gets a BP of 150 thanks to Tech which is higher than the mighty Pblades. Ice shard provides mmx with much needed priority and can also ohko uninvested Mega ray without any prior damage even with Safety Goggles (it also ohkos invested ones after rocks). The 4th slot can be used for whatever the team needs: U-turn provides a fast pivot, Sneak gives you the ability to ohko Mega Gengar and 2hko mmy after rocks, Dual Chop can 2hko non-FC (and also not fully def invested) Giratinas, and KS allows you to beat -ate Mega Ray and Diancie. Fake Out gives mmx a nice +3 priority move which does decent chip damage which can also be used to guarantee an ohko on invested Mega Ray. Mach Punch can be used to revenge kill a boosted Mega Ttar.


Here is the list of additional KO opportunities that LO provides if used over Goggles:

- Ice Shard can now ohko invested Mega Ray (either hp or def but not both) without prior damage, ohkos any Mega Ray (bar FC, please don't run that) after rocks.

For the most part Meloetta is outclassed by Mega Audino, seeing as it has better resists and from what I know, better bulk on both sides. You're left wanting on the special attack but it shouldn't matter to much.

Here's my unorthodox sets that I've discovered:

Palkia w/ Fur coat

Checks: Fridge MMX, Physically biased MMX, Download Primal Groudon, Sp.Def Primal Groudon, applies pressure to Giratina + Steel cores, M-Gengar and various physically oriented or mixed sets

Struggles agains: Kyogre, Mega Audino, Xerneas, Chansey, special oriented sets can muscle past it, Mega Rayquaza

So I'm on my phone right now, can't really copy the set.
Palkia @ Safety goggles/Palkia's Orb
- Fur coat
- Recovery
- Spatial Rend

So I was looking for Primal Groudon counters, and I discovered Palkia! So Palkia has an excellent typing going for it because of Spatial rend being very good coverage versus offensive teams. So the deal is a lot of balance teams have a defensive back-bone of: Giratina, Steel type and Imposter and that's where thos team trult shine. Even uninvested palkia does like 60-70% to Giratina, whilst steel types aren't that hard to pressure with Scald and Chansey takes buckets from Spatial Rend or Dragon tail.

Most importantly though is Palkia's ability to check Primal Groudon and physical attackers. Even with 40 Evs in defence +1 Thousand Arrows does like 40% max.
In addition to this, it excellently checks MMX as with 216+ Evs (roughly) it isn't 2hkod by life orb Boomburst! So the EV spread can be 252 Hp, 40 defence and the rest in Sp.Def with a boosting nature

Slight problem with that - they can easily rack up those boosting turns quickly thanks to King's Shield, so I'd run it with a Dark type at least. Here's how an exchange would go if you don't carry Whirlwind, which only delays the inevitable as it fails if Mewtwo is the last mon left.

If you recover as they KS, fine, you win. If you attack as they attack, you win possibly if you aren't within range. But if you recover as they attack, then they get the extra lefties turn and extra moody turn, and you will probably die next turn. If you attack as they King's Shield, they get an extra Moody turn as you don't recover health. So I'd really consider this an extremely shaky check without whirlwind, as you rely on several 50/50s to get a favorable outcome. Maybe running Heart Swap to steal favorable boosts is a better idea.

One thing I should've added is that there was a reason why I wanted to try Meloetta besides its typing. Lugia and Cresselia are both more viable than Meloetta, resist Stored Power, have better special bulk, and can laugh at Meloetta's pathetic physical defense in comparison to their own. However, there are only 2 ways that Lugia and Cresselia can actually stop moody: Heart Swap/setup or Whirlwind. Both of these are shut down by Taunt (which I have seen high level players run on their moody mon), therefore rendering their use impractical leaving Lugia and Cresselia no choice but to PP stall. Another common moody MMY check is Unaware Ttar which only nubs like flint use. Ttar can actually defeat MMY via koff spam, but can be easily taken out if MMY decides to run Moonblast or Secret Sword instead of Magma Storm. In Meloetta's case, the only way that moody can defeat it is if MMY manages to gather enough boosts before dying, or by running something weird like Dark Void or Megahorn.

If you want an Unaware Moody counter, use a Dark-type with Foul Play. Iirc punishment has a similar interaction with boosts as Stored Power except it's the other way around, boosts on the enemy just increase the base power of the move. So it should be able to bypass unaware the same way Stored Power does.

From the way I've seen it work, Unaware ignores enemy boosts period. So when Punishment checks the number of boosts the opponent has to calculate on, Unaware causes it to bring up zero boosts. Foul Play, on the other hand, appears to check the opponents boosted attack stat and then give it to the user before anything else happens. Then it checks for a burn on the user and runs damage and accuracy checks compared to the opponent stats, at which point Unaware kicks in and ignores boosts to those. Hence why Unaware Punishment is so weak but Unaware Foul Play is so potent.

I don't know if this set constitutes "creative," as I'm sure it's been done before, but Xerneas is definitely underrated imo.

This set functions as a stallbreaker. Taunt is one of the most underutilized moves in BH, effectively shutting down any non-Magic Bounce wall. When coupled with PH, Xerneas generally doesn't have to worry about status, phazing, or Knock Off. This combination makes it easy to accumulate boosts from Quiver Dance to prepare for a sweep. WoW cripples physical attackers, helps wear down walls, and makes this set Imposter-resistant. It's also worth noting that this set is a decent check to MMX.
Xerneas has some notable advantages over PH Kyogre, which commonly fills a similar role. Greater physical bulk (126 / 95 vs. 100 / 90) means that Xerneas has less to fear from -ate priority after setup, taking a maximum of 63.3% from Sky Plate Mega Ray's FakeSpeed where Kyogre takes 76.1% (factoring in PH recovery for each). Xerneas also threatens much more in return with +1 Moonblast as a guaranteed OHKO on Mega Ray. Kyogre needs +6 to do the same with Scald.
This set struggles versus Magic Bounce Steel-types and can have issues with Prankster (Topsy Turvy, Heart Swap, Encore, etc.). If Imposter Chansey wins the Speed tie and lands a Taunt, you'll need a backup plan as well (e.g. Magic Bounce Registeel).

I think your Xernas is a pretty standart Poison Heal Booster.
They carry 1 Boosting Move, 1 STAB of choice, 1 utility move and last move team dependent.

MMX with Technican is decent, i have seen M-Steelix with it 6 months ago or so.

Meolotta is bad, you even say Cress and Lugia are more viable, while both are already niche pokes.


This set is one of my favorite oldschoolars; i theorymoned it in Original Balanced Hackmons with Primals.

This is an interesting set that just popped on my head as I was experimenting on what PH Regigigas set could beat its common checks. On my mind there was -ates, Giratina and the rising Groudon.

This set aims to wallbreak/weaken checks for another sweeper that has problems breaking with Giratina, Groudon and -ates (PH Regigigas for example!) it is very easily imposterproofed thanks to Judgment, being able to be walled by common Pokemons such as Giratina, Tyranitar, Registeel, etc.

The great thing about this is also it does not get forced out by -ates even if you Shell Smash as it can just Spiky Shield on the Fake Out and Extreme Speed them back because this Arceus is faster than most if not all -ate users.

Mega sceptile is pretty much the fastest hard hitting mon after megazam, deoxys and megadactyl, but mega scept also happens to have a pretty nice dual typing making it one of the best adaptability abusers. It's pretty astonishing how people consider they're gonna live whatever this guy throws at them and end up being ohko'd because they never considered it could hit that hard without a single boost. Draco plate Judgment and Seed Flare both hit so hard steel coverage can be replaced for slightly more original options that let chansey speechless when it realizes you have an adaptability super effective stab while it's stuck with a 100bp unstabbed normal move and a 4x resisted stab (you're still far from ohkoing chansey unfortunately but can easily 2hko).
Spore is very practical when you can't quite grasp the ohko in a single hit and is just a great move on such a fast mon that's immune to it itself so it doesn't fear the magic bounce switch-ins (or chansey using it against him). Infestation is my anti shedinja option as it will break a sash on magic guard sheds aswell as making residual damage on standard sturdy shedinja's without triggering lum berry or safety goggles. Fire coverage such as searing shot can also be used to hit steel types as it basicaly hits as hard as judgment when used by an opposing chansey, but without the adaptability boost, you will only be hitting hard if the opponent has a 4x weakness to it (in which case it often runs flash fire) and you miss out on shedinja.

Hi people! This is my first post and i hope you like it. Today i´m here to bring a cool Gengar set. Gengar is one of my favourite pokémon so i hope it will be useful. I've never seen anyone using this set, maybe some of you have used a similar, i don't know. This is a quite unique set since most of BH Gengars are Normalize or Turboblaze.

Moves
========
-Sing: Sing is a great sleeping move to be used with No Guard because it will never miss, it's a move that can hit through substitute, what's a great help, and it's not blocked by Safety Googles because it's not a powder move.
-Hex: Hex is STAB and is here instead of Shadow Ball and Judgment Ghost because it doubles the power when the target has a bad status condition, what is great because Sing and Inferno are here to do that work and we have a 65x2=130 power attack without using any item (Judgment).
-Focus Blast: Focus Blast is here instead of Secret Sword because with max accuracy we have a 120 base power to surprise and surely OHKO Mega Tyranitar, an awesome counter to his Poison Heal set. Focus Blast can be used to deal a lot of damage on bulky steel types like Registeel and Ferrothorn that use Flash Fire and if you have Zap Cannon instead of Inferno.
-Inferno/ Zap Cannon: Here the choice is yours. It depends if you want to burn or paralyze. With max accuracy Zap Cannon and Inferno will always hit, so they will always paralyze or burn respectively. I use Inferno a lot of times because it can lower the attack of many physical threads like Diancie, Rayquaza, Tyranitar...

-Focus Sash: You can use Focus Sash in order to make sure this pokémon will attack at least once. It´s good when you are facing a sweeper like Shift Gear Tyranitar, or a Contrary set because it allows at least to put the target sleep or burn it.
-Lum Berry: This is the only way to imposterproof this Gengar without trusting on luck to win a speed tie. The imposter will 95% of the times trying to put you to sleep, so you wake up with the berry, put him to sleep and then kill with hex! It allows you to not be countered by a surprising Magic Bounce.

Great Advantages
========
-Gengar has a high base speed which allows him to outspeed a large number of pokemons with its 394 max speed in order to put them to sleep quickly or use a always "boring" 100% Inferno/Zap Cannon move. It outspeeds many offensive threats like Mega Latios (this is a perfect counter in my opinion), Tyranitar, Diancie, etc...
-Gengar has a great Special Attack stat reaching 439 (Timid) alongside with high powered moves which allows him to make a great damage on unprepared foes.
-Good check to Poison Heal abusers like Kyogre, Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, Mega Gyarados if you predict a switch, you simply ruin their strategy with Inferno/Zap Cannon.

Threats
========
-Aerilate/Refrigerate Fake Out+Extreme Speed: it KO's any kind of gengar set, whatever it is that dont include King's Shield due to it's ridiculous Defense.
-Imposter Blissey/Chansey: they can be a problem if you don't have a Lum Berry or if you lose the speed tie. As told before, if you have a Lum Berry you're safe.
-Sucker Punch: is here because of Yveltal and Tyranitar. Watch out.
-Magic Bounce: if you predict a Magic Bounce without the Lum berry set, use Inferno/Zap Cannon instead.
-Yveltal: the Poison Heal set is the perfect counter to this set, because poison will not allow you to put it to sleep and Hex/Focus Blast does nothing. But if you have Zap Cannon you can try.
-Audino: its a good wall and the Poison Heal set leaves you without many choices. And there's always a Knock Off.

I hardly run into any water or ground types, which are the only strong counters to the Contrary V-Create STAB Heatran. I usually run V-Create as long as I can, either completely sweeping the other team or letting it faint. Horn Leech is basically a counter for any water or ground types. Iron Head is a STAB attack against Fairy types, even though I hardly come across any. Acrobatics is mainly just a counter for Blaziken-Mega.

Not sure if I calculated this right, but the x1.3 from Aerilate, the x1.5 from STAB, and x1.2 from the Sky Plate makes Boomburst have a 327 base damage. And with a Sp. Attack stat of 322, and a speed of 345, Noivern allows a clean sweep. In response to any fast Pokemon or any Spore Deoxys-Speed, I've got Extreme Speed. Oblivion Wing is basically its Recover. Spore is if I can outspeed a tank, so I can take it out during sleep.

Gotta be honest, this Pokemon's entire purpose is just to take out a Sturdy/Focus Sash Shedinjas. He sometimes pulls through when I'm facing off a Weavile by using Magma Storm, but that's pretty much it. Overall, pretty useless, and I should probably replace him entirely.

Most people suspect a set-up beast when it comes to Kyurem-Black, so I attempted a different approach. Using Ice Ball on only the second turn usually knocks out the opponent, and from there it's a sweep. Precipice Blades is for Fire types that may attempt to stop this beast, and Roar is a response to any Pokemon that are trying to set-up. Gear Grind is a response to any Fairy types.

Any Skill Linker is usually a sturdy set, but I haven't seen it been used on a Garchomp. Considering his high base attack stat (mine's being at 359), I don't see a pokemon more fit for this moveset. I usually spam Bone Rush to build up its attack using the Metronome, and the STAB helps as well. Garchomp is very sturdy in battle, as I hardly run into Pokemon with a counter to it. Also, the Rock Blast can get past a Focus Sash Shedinja.

Definitely need a different Pokemon and set here. On the field, there is only so few circumstances where he can truly shine. And any ground type Pokemon on the opponent's team can bring him to a complete halt, forcing me to switch-out and let the switch-in absorb some damage. Honestly, he's a great Pokemon in theory, requiring no turn sacrifice for a Nasty Plot or whatnot, but it just doesn't thrive in battle.

Hi, and welcome to smogon! This isn't really the right place, as this is the C&US thread while this belongs as an RMT or at least the regular BH thread. Still, here is some advice:

Heatran

Heatran is usually outclassed in BH, especially with this set. Blaziken-Mega, Ho-Oh, Mega Rayquaza, and MMX can all do its job better and more reliably. That being said, Flame Plate is better than gem in almost all circumstances, Dragon Ascent is better than Acrobatics, Iron head is always worse than V-Create unless you are fighting a rock type (Replace with Superpower, Probably), and one of extreme sped or recovery is superior to Horn Leech.

Noivern

Not only does MRay perform about 300% better in this role, oblivion wing is unneeded on this set. Try using fake out, Magma Storm, or Earth Power instead.

Drapion

Drapion is terrible, run a mold breaker MGar with pursuit of you need to take on shedinja

Cube

Compound eyes is outclassed, run something with a niche Adaptability or LO SF icicle crash- or better yet don't run cube without refridgerate/technician, which I assume was your intention when you designed this set. If you want to keep both this and aerilate, use one of the other reccomended sets.

chomp

Just... use its mega forme, and run technician, maybe. I dunno how to help this actually work.

Manectric

Run thunderbolt, skip speed boost, and for the love of all that is holy run a non-electric attack to hit grounds (ice beam? I like ice beam), as well as volt switch and maybe magma storm.
