IMPORTANT RULE CHANGE
We will now be giving game losses to players violating Sleep Clause, similar to how it was handled during the IRL Nintendo Cup tournaments..
If your opponent violates Sleep Clause and the activation message appears, please inform them of the violation and tell them to forfeit the game. If your opponent refuses to comply, please inform me and they will be given a loss for the entire set. If neither side notices the violation by the end of the week when results are finalized, the result will stand. No retroactive set losses.
KEEP IN MIND THAT REST ACTIVATES SLEEP CLAUSE ON YOUR SIDE, EVEN IF THE OPPONENT HAS NOT USED A SLEEP-INDUCING MOVE!!!
We felt that this rule was important to enforce since Pokemon Showdown! only has the move fail if Sleep Clause is violated, which leads to PP stalling strategies being more powerful than they were back when this format was played.
