    i'm pretty much done posting in the suspect thread but: my fundamental reasoning for wanting conversion to be banned is because porygon with z-conversion is broken, it is a simple ban that does not have any real collateral damage and porygon is the only pokemon to get it.

    Exactly: a move being broken is very hard, thus we shouldn't ban moves willy-nilly. I believe that the "collateral" damage argument is entirely based on the preconceived notion that Porygon will be healthy in the meta, just because it was not a huge problem in ORAS. This is a new metagame, one in which we can't assume that Porygon will be the same as it was before and then use that to justify nerfing it rather than outright banning it.

    no you misunderstood my point. a move being broken and a pokemon being broken isn't the same thing. a move is broken on a pokemon, whereas a pokemon isn't singularly dependent on anything for being broken. let's be real lol non-z-conversion porygon is not broken and this hasn't been a point of contention throughout the thread. this isn't just "theory", people have used other porygon sets...

    you're basically saying that none of these points matter because the people putting them forth are trying to pick and choose, which you're entitled to i guess, i just wanted to point out why that was wrong
