    Is that an adaptive filter in your avatar? I remember creating a filter that conformed an incoming signal to another early in grad school. Although, I still don't quite get the point of adaptive filters even after taking an entire class on the subject.

    And I was wondering, could Technical Machine play against itself ? AI vs AI can be really entertaining, and could lead to interesting concepts.

    Yes. I'm actually planning on setting up a somewhat permanent TM vs. TM set of games on my local machine so it can start training itself.

    Thanks for clarifying the rating system of Glicko-2, david. Even with such a conservative rating system, it should not cause a net loss in rating when you win games, though, right? That has occurred in PS! in the past.
    what if for long term planning on tech machine you do something like if pokemon x can sweep every pokemon except for pokemon y then you assign pokemon y a higher value than all their other pokemon (you could do this with the same thing for your team too since you want tech machine to conserve its most important pokmeon too!) idk just my 2 cents
