  • Courrousinge est un bon setup sweeper grâce à sa bonne Attaque, un bulk décent et un combo de STABs sans résistance. Il a l'avantage face à des Pokémon tels que Corvaillus, Leuphorie et Terraiste.
  • Gonflette donne à Courrousinge le potentiel pour sweep tout en le rendant plus difficile à mettre KO.
  • Provoc lui permet de rester en bonne santé et empêche également des Pokémon plus bulky tels que Corvaillus, Terraiste et Prédastérie de se soigner. Repos peut être utilisé à la place avec la baie Maron afin de se débarasser de l'altération d'état et se soigner, mais échoue lorsque le Champ Electrifié est actif.
  • Vampi-Poing lui permet de se soigner et de faire des dégâts à des ennemis tels que Dinglu et Roue-de-Fer.
  • Poing de Colère couplé à Provoc fait de Courrousinge une incroyable menace pour les murs lents tels qu'Oyacata et Dinglu, étant donné que leurs attaques lui font peu de dégâts tout en augmentant la puissance de Poing de Colère.
  • La Téracristallisation Eau lui permet d'encaisser des coups de la part d'attaquants spéciaux tels que Hotte-de-Fer, Yuyu et Flotte-Mèche tout en lui permettant de résister à Boutefeu de Koraidon.
  • La Téracristallisation Fée lui donne une immunité face aux attaques de type Dragon de Koraidon et Miraidon tout en lui permettant d'encaisser des dégâts neutres face aux attaques de type Spectre de Gromago et Flotte-Mèche afin de pouvoir les OHKO en retour avec un Poing de Colère boosté.
  • Courrousinge atteint son plein potentiel dans les équipes Hyper Offense avec les dual screens, où il peut facilement encaisser des coups tout en pouvant se setup.
  • Les murs spéciaux tels que Dinglu et Corvaillus sont de bons partenaires dans les équipes Balance, car des Pokémon tels que Miraidon, Flotte-Mèche et Hotte-de-Fer menacent Courrousinge. Corvaillus peut également retirer les entry hazards pour lui. Scalpereur accable Mamanbo et Flâmigator qui sont des checks qu'ils partagent, ce qui en fait un bon partenaire pour Courrousinge.
  • Les poseurs d'entry hazards tels que Floréclat, Momartik, Prédastérie et Terraiste peuvent attirer Corvaillus, donnant à Courrousinge une excellente opportunité de setup en forçant Corvaillus à soit utiliser Anti-Brume et activer Acharné ou bien booster Poing de Colère en attaquant.
