Neutralizing Gas permite que Galarian Weezing enfraqueça ameaças como Azumaril e Scizor com Will-O-Wisp, ponha Toxic Spikes em campo contra usuários de Magic Bounce e impeça ativadores de weather, como Hippowdon, de colocarem weather em campo. Seu baixo HP faz de Pain Split uma forma semi-confiável de recovery. Sua tipagem parte Poison providencia uma neutralidade a ataques Poison-type, permitindo-lhe fazer switch em ataques como Poison Jab de Drapion e se destacar no matchup contra Fairy. Apesar disso, seu bulk special não é bom, permitindo que diversos special attackers se aproveitem dele, como Spectrier, Kyurem e Volcarona.
