Grâce à sa haute statistique de Défense, son accès à Soin et Tour Rapide, Séracrawl peut non seulement check les attaquants physiques tels que Scalproie et Minotaupe mais être également un spinner fiable pour les équipes Glace. Mur de Fer permet à Séracrawl d'augmenter sa Défense qui accroît ainsi la puissance de Big Splash et lui permet de devenir un attaquant dangereux. Néanmoins, renoncer à Avalanche signifie que les Pokémon de type Spectre comme Lanssorien bloquent totalement Séracrawl. Big Splash permet à Séracrawl d'infliger des bons dégâts aux Pokémon Acier susmentionnés, tandis que Soin lui permet de remplir son rôle sans qu'il soit affaibli au cours de la partie. Des investissements maximums en PV et en Défense avec la nature Malin rendent Séracrawl aussi résistant que possible sur le plan physique et rendent la capacité Big Splash plus puissante. Les Grosses Bottes immunisent Séracrawl aux Pièges de Roc et aux Pics Toxik, lui permettant d'enlever les entry hazards plus efficacement et préservent également Fermeté. Fermeté est le Talent privilégié car cela donne la possibilité à Séracrawl d'utiliser Tour Rapide face à des Pokémon qui autrement pourraient l'OHKO, tels que Trioxhydre et Wimessir.

Des Pokémon comme Darumacho de Galar, Lokhlass et Dimoret Mouchoir Choix bénéficient du hazard control apporté par Séracrawl, étant donné qu'il leur procure plus d'opportunité pour venir sur le terrain et ainsi wallbreak ou revenge kill, et ce sans être affaibli par les Pièges de Roc et les Pics Toxik. Mammochon Bandeau Choix peut battre les types Acier comme Exagide et Archéodong Ignifugé. Cochignon Evoluroc et Lokhlass peuvent s'occuper des Pokémon de type Feu ainsi que des attaquants spéciaux qui menacent Séracrawl comme Dracaufeu et Ectoplasma.
