Welcome to the twelfth installment of the Ubers Premier League! Looking to make their marks, plenty of familiar faces and new prospects are ready to dominate the field. This edition of Power Rankings was made by asking players from each team to rank the entire pool of each respective format. We hope that everyone enjoys these Power Rankings, and know that they are not supposed to be definite predictions of how your team will do.
Thank you to every team's manager for their quick turnaround to gather rankings for this article: Aberforth, OreoSpeedruns, Icemaster, TrueNora, Perry, Thor, -Howkings, Fogbound Lake, byulharang, Kate, 64 Squares, GeniusFromHoenn, entrocefalo, Eledyr, Fc, and mitana.
And finally thanks to everyone who helped write this article: OreoSpeedruns, byulharang, Trade, GeniusFromHoenn, and realaccountami?.
Looking to turn around the fate of the Dialgas, Eledyr teams up with another National Dex Ubers Leader in entrocefalo for a run at the title this year. They started off strong in SV, drafting the first-ranked RichardMillePlain, ladder frequent LouisIX, and ULT quarterfinalist Yellow Armchair to round out their starting core. QWILY is in SS once more for the Dialgas, with support from a much more motivated team. Master Chief will be starting in SM with the support of Reje. freezai makes his UPL debut in ORAS, a tier that he had an 8-1 showing in during UWC. BW features Monai, a solid player in the generation with support from Yellow Armchair and innovamania. Coming off a 5-4 performance last year, DPP veteran shrang will be trying to recreate his 8-0 record from two years back. Famed ADV player MMII will have the help of shrang, gostop, and Cawil Maxamad to keep his builds consistent. Up-and-comer Cyberacc will be in GSC, where he is said to have his mentor Isa's support. King Billu, who is ranked near the bottom of the pool, will have CollectorEly and manager Eledyr's support to prove the rankers wrong. To round out their lineup, self-purchased manager entrocefalo is ranked first in the best-of-3 pool by a decent margin and has lots of eyes on him to replicate his spectacular 8-1 performance en route to a UPL win last year. With an absolutely mind-boggling nine subs on the bench, the Dialgas look forward to their investment in quantity to beat out the quality of the other teams. If the team works well together, they will be able to put out some fantastic teams, but the lack of investment into many big names can backfire should they flounder early.
Coming into their 5th year as a franchise, the Vishes are running it back with former tier leader Icemaster and their previous two-time manager, Truenora. Joining this dynamic duo will be keys, who is one of the best ORAS slots and offers excellent team support. After missing playoffs last year, the Dracovish have drafted a solid team with many standout players. Holding one of the strongest oldgen cores of all UPL teams, it should come as no surprise that the Dracovish are first in power rankings. Leading their pack will be Shuwri, coming off a 5-2 record in UWC and going for 19.5k in the auction. It will be interesting to see if their price is justified, as they mention a month-long inactivity in their signup. Rounding out the SV core we have etern and myjava, who are both excellent pilots. myjava, who mainly plays OU, can thrive with the excellent support the Dracovish have amassed, in the form of Shuwri and an unproven sub, zuzhouwawa. etern, on the other hand, had amazing results in UWC and is looking forward to repeating his feat. Icemaster has shown consistency over the years, being the number 2 SSer in the pool. Rhmsitb needs no introduction in USM and will undoubtedly get some wins for his team! Holding the Dracovish' BW slot is Evuelf, who is an amazing presence for any chat after his last year's Classic victory. Returning to DPP ubers is susciety, looking to repeat his phenomenal results in the tier across tournaments, including last UPL and UWC. Handling ADV is Heysup, a staple starter for ADV across UPLs, who is appropriately ranked second in the pool.
This manager duo has a lot to prove, as this is the first time they've been selected for an Ubers team tour. While the Durians are historically a fabled franchise, they were the worst team in the last UPL and have also been ranked last in this year's Power Rankings. Everyone will be watching closely to see if this franchise is doomed to live in the shadow of its former self or will rise and reclaim its glory. Howkings is an established tournament player with managing experience and is partnered with Fogbound Lake, who has played Ubers on the big stage while also putting up good records in officials. At the head of their current gen core, Frozoid finds himself paired with two great fundamental players who are expected to be passed teams and outpilot their opponents. This core definitely will rely on Frozoid, Fogbound Lake, SiTuM, and Tape's ability to keep up with the evolving metagame to support the non-mainer roster while simultaneously making sure bbeeaa plays their games. Finding himself in a familiar yet undesirable place, SiTuM will be the SS anchor for the team. If he cares, he definitely has potential to size up this extremely dangerous pool and support the other slots to help his team go far. Going for an arm and a leg, Tape is the most expensive SM player (and most expensive this UPL) since it became an old gen. As one of the greatest players of all time, and carrying a 33.5k pricetag, Tape has a lot of expectations to live up to. The Durians' success will hinge on how motivated Tape is to not only win his games but also support his teammates. The ORAS slot is helmed by Royal1604, who has been very successful in the tier and managed to win crucial games for his teams in the past; hopefully, his hot streak continues for another tournament. LpZ is not known for their BW Ubers gameplay, and it being one of the strongest pools makes this a very tall mountain to climb. Fortunately, they managed to team with Tape, who, on the other hand, is definitely known for his BW gameplay. In DPP and ADV, we have Staxi and Fogbound Lake himself, respectively. Staxi is knowledgeable enough on the meta, though the pool is filled with players who have been DPP regulars for a while now, so he will have to find his footing quickly. In ADV, we surprisingly find the self-bought Fogbound Lake. This is his first time playing ADV in UPL, (although he has played it in ADVPL), and this move can turn out to be worth it, but due to the notorious RNG of the tier, he may be better off in a more modern generation. Crying played GSC last UPL and has Iguana as support, which may be a formidable slot. In RBY the Durians took a chance at BlazingDark, who is the extreme underdog here, being almost unanimously voted last in the power rankings. Finishing off the starting lineup they have Larry in the Bo3 slot, who has lots of experience playing SM, but it is unsure how well he knows SV. If he manages to get a grasp on SV and SS, he will be a very important piece, or perhaps he will find himself trading spots with March Fires. The bench consists of rookie Dieu Amphibien and Thiago Nunes, who can both be slotted in and perform if given teams. The things that we think will make or break this team will be if Tape can live up to his price and if the SV pilots are supported enough.
Renamed from the Alolan Mukkers, the Eternal Voyagers, managed by Kate and byulharang, are ready to take over UPL. Coming off a dominant Seasonal win and a 6-0 record in UWC, it's no surprise that Kate is ranked second in the SV pool and is worth the self-buy. Mashing is a self-sufficient player who has been putting up consistent records. elodin is a highly experienced player coming off a strong 4-2 in last UPL who is sure to succeed with Kate's support. lotiasite is a skilled SS player, but their poor performance in the last UPL does not inspire confidence in a pool with many heavy hitters. Taking a look at SM, we have Tenebricite, who seems to have little to no experience in SM Ubers. Lasen and pdt support will surely help, but only time will tell if Tenebricite will be able to survive. Lasen looks to play ORAS this year after a few years of BW, and with Hack support, he should be able to go positive. Speaking of Hack, he returns to BW, ready to dominate another season, but he finds himself in one of the most top-heavy pools in recent history. Nonetheless, it is clear that he will be able to make his mark. We find robjr in DPP, a tier he hasn't touched in years. Nonetheless, his playing skill and the support of Hack and Mashing should lead him to relative success. temp has little experience playing ADV in UPL, but coming off a win in the new ADV Ubers Open, it is clear that he has the potential to take wins off of anyone in this pool, especially with iry's support. In GSC, we have the retained BigFatMantis, who is looking to recreate his success from last year in a weaker pool, when paired with Shitrock Enjoyer's unique building methods. Unowndragon is back in RBY after a mediocre record last year, but with the relatively weaker pool and a tier this bad, it is clear that Unowndragon will probably be middle of the pack again. pdt takes up the mantle of BO3 this year, but it's unclear how he will perform. With decent showings in SM, a strong understanding of SV lower tiers, and support from Kate and lotiasite for SS, pdt will most likely have a good showing. For subs, FadedCharm has been proving themselves in Ubers Classic, and Stories and XXVI are solid players that can sub in and learn a metagame if needed. Overall, although the Voyagers have a few unproven slots, they have the tools to make it far.
Returning from last year, Fc and Mitana are ready to make another dominant showing with the Void Villains. Their SV core starts off with a retain of SoulWind, who needs no real introduction. Coming off a strong 6-2 in UPL XI and a decent 4-5 in SCL, there is no doubt that SoulWind will have a good run when paired with Fc and tier support. JJ09LIE has great fundamentals in SV, as shown in SPL, and will be looking to have a breakout Ubers tour this UPL. tier is no stranger to Ubers and had a decent 4-4 run last UPL followed by a 3-3 run in UWC. In SS, we have the tier leader himself. There are high hopes for the first-ranked Fc as he looks to follow up his great performances in last UPL and UWC. However, USM is another case entirely, as it is unclear how up to date Paycard is on the metagame. Similarly, Ayu looks to get back onto the scene in ORAS, but without clear support, there is some doubt in how she'll be able to keep up, regardless of how strong she is as a player. With support from the based Li Xiao Long himself, 3d looks to make his BW Ubers debut. Although he's known to be a strong player, it's unclear how this will translate to this vastly unique metagame. Contrary to BW, London Beats looks to dominate the DPP pool, with a strong 4-4 and 3-2 in UPL and UWC, respectively, especially with no Highlord around. Mako looks to make their ADV Ubers debut but is well renowned in ADV OU. With support from mitana, Mako could be a dark horse of this tour. Although GSC looks weaker than last year, spell finds herself at the bottom of the pool after a poor 1-3 record last year. However, this may not be a clear sign of the year to come, and her good fundamentals paired with Torchic and Fc support should lead to a decent record. Torchic's retain seems to be worth it after his dominant 7-1 record last UPL in a tier where consistency seems to be nearly impossible. Will he be able to have another dominant run, or will the tier finally catch up to him? Rounding off this team we have Gtcha, an SPL player who has historically been very strong in SS OU. With Fc and Paycard support, the Villains hope he will be able to succeed in the BO3 slot as well. Other than Li Xiao Long, the subs on this team are tour players who have seen relative success but do not know Ubers very well. Overall, the Villains are an impressive team with very few lackluster slots and a lot of potential waiting to be released.
Thor and Perry are looking to cause a stir in UPL with this year's iteration of DaReal Drizzlers. For their Bo3 slot, they've chosen Ainzcrad, a player some teams don't have too high hopes in. While Ainzcrad has had some showings in the past in certain individual tours, he needs to raise the bar once more if he wants to turn this drizzle into a storm. In SV, Taka and Skyiew are two newer names with good track records hoping to continue their current trajectory going into UPL. Rounding out the SV core is LBN, a familiar face in Ubers, looking to complete the trio. Moving on to SS, despite his decorated history, a few questions arise as to whether or not Manaphy still has what it takes to take on his deep pool. Meanwhile, with an impressive 7-1 run in last year's UPL, Zesty43 will be a main factor in keeping the team afloat. Covering their ORAS slot, we have Hoopa's Dad. Ranking last on the ORAS Power Rankings, Hoopa's Dad is looking to make a breakout performance to turn the tides on everyone. After a long hiatus, Blim finds themselves back in their home turf of BW, ready to make a splash reminiscent of their UPL IX days. Inspirited is another seasoned player looking to improve their record on the sheet and prove that their DPP experience can set them to new heights this time around. Next we have Raph369, a player who's looking to ride the waves of their recent 4-2 UWC record in ADV. As the Drizzlers' star player, Conflict is likely going to rain on their opponents' parades, garnering the top spot in the GSC power rankings. SaDiSTiCNarwhal rounds out the team's lower gens, hoping to replicate their RBY success in the Ubers tier. Lastly, with a whopping seven substitute players, their options for lineups are as vast as the ocean. If they can utilize every advantage they have, then they could find their way back to shore. But with a lack of guaranteed wins in most slots, the Drizzlers might find themselves stuck in the deep end.
Stepping up to manage Bandits are two former players, Aberforth and OreoSpeedruns. Tier leader Aberforth is a two-time retain for Bandits in the past two seasons, so it's hardly a surprise for him to take up the mantle of managing Choice Bandits, with OreoSpeedruns as a relatively new face. The Bandit SV Ubers squadron consists of Lana, hoping to repeat their phenomenal performance from UWC. Joining the roster are Frito and Nyx, who have a lot to prove and will be looking to have a breakout tour after average results in recent tournaments. With support from both managers, this SV lineup has great potential. In SS, we have Aberforth. He returns to his best tier, where he has had great success in the past. Even in this top-heavy pool, there are no doubts that he will get some fantastic wins for the team. Moving onto USM is The Strap, who has great skill but at the price of potential defecting. In ORAS we have Cam, returning to the tier after three UPLs. Can his wins keep pace with expectations on his shoulders? In BW we have Kebabe, first place on the BW Power Rankings ready to have another great season like every other UPL. Holding down DPP is Dave, returning to the playing field of UPL after five years of managing the Dracovish. As a finalist in the DPP cup, he is undoubtedly a solid pick. Rounding out the pentathlon gens we have veteran Vileman, making a full-time debut in ADV. Although questions arise on how he will fare in a strong ADV pool, as he is ranked #6, Vileman will likely prove himself to be a competent ADV starter. Starting in GSC is Rubyblood. Though a strong player when motivated and certainly amazing in GSC OU, it seems unclear how much effort he'll be able to put into the tournament—if he has a weakness, it's that. Ctown6 and Trade are the last two starting players in RBY and BO3, who are both solid fundamental players who should win a couple games here and there. They also have some solid subs in gastlies for RBY, Magician for DPP, and Sheik: and aurora for ADV, while abriel seems to be a friend of Nyx and Frito looking to sub into SV. Terracotta closes out their roster as an all-round sub, skillfully playing most of the gens in UPL. This is one well-rounded team in the tournament with great potential.
