All right, submissions are now closed! There are to be no edits of your own Pokemon, nor are there to be any new submissions. A few quick things to note;
  • Voting will close on the 9/17 at 11:00pm GMT-3 (9:00pm EST), where the next Vitim Of The Week will also be announced
  • You can't vote for your own submission
  • You can only change your vote once, so think carefully before doing so
  • You can vote even if you haven't made a submission. It is expected that you vote if you did submit yourself, but not compulsory
Sorry P3DS, but your submission isn't valid.

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Substitute/ Ice Punch/ Power-up Punch

Pretty Simple. Fake Out to break the sash, OHKO with High Jump Kick afterwards. I like Substitute thanks to its ability to get a free turn against Blaziken, and then ko it with High Jump Kick. Ice Punch threatens Salamence and Landorus, two common switch ins, while Power-Up Punch to helps Lopunny break through bulky foes like Scizor.
Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD or 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast

Can switch into a Fighinium Z unboosted AoP no problem, although it dies to a +2. However, any and every variant folds to Flamethrower, unless Sash. Ironically enough, most Kartana are Darkium Z, Sashed, and Scarfed on the PGL ladder. Other than that, it's a generic annoyer ProSeed Steela.
venusaur-mega.gif

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Synthesis / Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- HP Fire

M-Venusaur is the answer for all the Grass-types in BSS. The Special Defense of Kartana is so low that you can keep the bulk of Venusaur. This Mega is still an efficient tank.

0 SpA Mega Venusaur Hidden Power Fire vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Kartana: 252-300 (186.6 - 222.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Kartana Corkscrew Crash (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Venusaur: 96-114 (51.3 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
059.png
Arcanine @ Firium Z
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Extreme Speed
- Wild Charge / Roar
- Protect / Will-O-Wisp / Morning Sun

Arcanine can switch into opposing Kartana and smack them back. Hard. Intimidate helps with the switch. Extreme Speed picks up weakened foes and sort of remediate Arcanine's avarage speed. The last two slots are to fill your needs. Wild Charge will OHKO greedy Gyarados that goes for the Dragon Dance instead of attacking straight away, but Roar also fills this slot well as resetting a Z-boosted Mimikyu or Eevee is just as good as it sounds.

252+ Atk Arcanine Inferno Overdrive (190 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kartana through Protect: 127-150 (94 - 111.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

yeah.
zapdos.gif

Zapdos @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Static
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge / Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
- Heat Wave

Zapdos can defeat most variants of Kartana, resisting its STABs and taking little damage from its coverage moves. Rocky Helmet breaks Kartana's sash and Static has a 30% chance to paralyze it, making life pretty hard for the origami sword. The only sets Zapdos has to worry about are Z-Move ones, and even then, only +2 Z-Giga Impact can knock it out from full.

252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 39-47 (19.7 - 23.8%) -- possible 5HKO
252 Atk Kartana Sacred Sword vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 26-31 (13.1 - 15.7%) -- possible 7HKO
252 Atk Kartana Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 41-49 (20.8 - 24.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

+2 252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 79-93 (40.1 - 47.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 Atk Kartana Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 82-97 (41.6 - 49.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+2 252 Atk Kartana Bloom Doom (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 153-180 (77.6 - 91.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Kartana Black Hole Eclipse (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 164-193 (83.2 - 97.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Kartana Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 233-275 (118.2 - 139.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

whoops forgot to nominate mega blaze aka the reason this thing's usage fell off

gonna have to go with Fire Fist Ace because Celesteela is really good. Both Steela and Zapdos die to the right boosted Z move after rocks, but since Darkinium is arguably the better set I have to go with Steela...

+2 252 Atk Kartana All-Out Pummeling (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Celesteela: 181-213 (88.7 - 104.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 Atk Kartana Black Hole Eclipse (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 164-193 (83.2 - 97.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Victim of the Week #33 - Toxapex
toxapex.gif

Up next we have the Brutal Star Pokemon, Toxapex! It has incredible 50/152/142 defensive stats, an immunity to poison thanks to its Poison typing, a wonderful ability in Regenerator and access to support options such as Scald, Toxic, Haze and Toxic Spikes. While it can't do much on its own, Toxapex does a good job at taking hits and statusing opposing Pokemon, which is invaluable for stall teams and a welcome addition to tankier ones. So, how do you deal with this mon?
Submissions are open and will be closed in 4 days from now. Good luck everyone!

Anna (Tapu Lele) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock / Psychic
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Tapu Lele has done incredibly well since its first release, and almost did not suffer from the Pokébank's release, it's definitely a force to be reckgned with in the BSS metagame, that is going to frighten teams for years.
It literally destroys any version of Toxapex with either Psyshock or Psychic, and needs no investment to tank it because it just fears nothing Toxapex could do. Not even mentioning Venoshock, which almost doesn't exist and does nothing to Tapu Lele since Toxapex would definitely not have the time to poison it anyway.

Calcs:

Tapu Koko is a neat answer to Toxapex. While not being able to OHKO Pex in every case, like Specs Lele does (which isn't Scarf btw), Koko isn't blocked on a move and can pivot on a teammate and kill Pex on the switch.

Volcarona is already a rather terrifying setup sweeper, boasting excellent offensive stats, a good offensive type, and one of the best setup moves in the game in Quiver Dance. However, what makes it even more of a threat is how diverse it is. It has plenty of moves that can deal with specific threats, with Psychic being able to lure in Toxapex. NOVED's Thund

Thund is perfectly able to handle Toxapex and its most common partners by himself. Chansey drops to +4 All-Out Pummeling, and Tapu Bulu doesn't enjoy taking a +2 HP Ice, even if it's AV.

Gonna vote for Lionyx' Tapu Lele here since I value the direct OHKO a bit more, while it still pressures Stall a lot thanks to the huge immediate power with Psyshock notably 2HKOing Chansey.

Up next we have one of the Shellfish Pokemon, Cloyster! It's a great cleaner thanks to access to an amazing setup move in Shell Smash and Skill Link, which makes its multi-hit moves always hit five times. While predictable, it can be hard to stop with proper team support and with its checks weakened. So, how do you deal with this mon?

Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk

- Hidden Power [Ice] / Dazzling Gleam

Scarf Koko can outspeed and KO Cloyster even after a Shell Smash boost, so you don't have to worry about Cloyster KOing you.

Lucario-Mega @ Lucarionite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Coverage / Filler

Luke is an underestimated Mega in BSS and can deal with Cloyster easily with its typing and its STABs. Special Lucario is more efficient against Cloyster but Physical Lucario is better in BSS. Close Combat is a neat OHKO on Cloyster. Bullet Punch is here for the priority against a +2 Sash Smash Cloyster which can boost itself and attack in the same turn.

252 Atk Adaptability Mega Lucario Close Combat vs. 108 HP / 4 Def Cloyster: 180-212 (129.4 - 152.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Adaptability Mega Lucario Bullet Punch vs. 108 HP / 4 Def Cloyster: 32-38 (23 - 27.3%) -- 29.4% chance to 4HKO
