Not the most experienced battler but I guess Firium-Z Rotom-H comes to mind. Though you could argue other more defensive Rotom-H sets are a harder pure counter with leftovers since it allows more hits to be tanked.

Good old wallbird is back to wall another thing. Zapdos resists all of Scizor's common moves besides Knock Off and damages it heavily with Heat Wave, while taking even boosted attacks quite well. You all know what this does but here are some calcs anyway

As an avid user of Mega Scizor in BSS, I can list countless number of counters to this thing; basically any Fire-type, Zapdos, Mega Salamence, or even Tapu Lele to certain extent. Here is the counter that I believe to annoy Scizor the most:

Let's look at what makes Mega Scizor so great; great durability, strong priority that can be boosted, coverage options such as Knock Off and Superpower, and most importantly, pivoting out of its counter using U-turn. But this Toxapex screws over basically everything Mega Scizor attempts to do. Scald induces burn to render Scizor userless, Haze neuters Swords Dance boosts, and Toxic punishes predicted switch-in. Regenerator & Recover makes Toxapex nigh impossible to wear down from Scizor's perspective.

If we add this with Eject Button, Mega Scizor is useless. When it thinks it predicted & outplayed it rather loses to momentum as Toxapex switches into Fire-type or other counters.

I think Zapdos can also be one of the best checks due to access to Heat Wave but I didn't like SR weakness and it was already taken ._.

Gold Wall (Cofagrigus) (M) @ Leftovers

Cofagrigus is actually really nice and I plan on making some teams with it in the near future as an alternative to the Wisp Hex Gengar niche. Cofagrigus is really bulky and it eats a Knock Off easily while also changing Scizor's Ability to Mummy instead of Technician. Its actually the perfect choice for a majority of Mega Scizor sets. Furthermore it can also act as a Trick room setter / a Celesteela type of Pokemon if you change the moves up a bit and I think it might actually have a decent Niche in BSS

Leech seed with leftovers provides casual recovery to Celesteela while annoying Scizor with Leech which puts pressure on it to Roost when it gets low on health, Flamethrower helps a lot more with taking it down.

I honestly really dislike using this pokemon and the SM trick room archetype in general with Mimikyu's existence (thanks GF), but if there's one thing it can do very good, it can come in on Scizor, make its offensive presence instantly worse, and immediately threaten to destroy it with its Ferrothorn coverage.

Scizor's recourses are to SD on the Intimidating switch-in, and doing a fat 80% max with superpower as fire fang connects...

This week had a lot of good nominations. That said, I was looking for a nomination that pointed out not only Mega Scizor's exploitable weakness to Fire weakness but also handles its common teammates. Basing off my experience from the ladder with Mega Scizor teams and observance the trio core of Mega Scizor often employs fast teammates such as Naganadel, Tapu Koko, and Latios to handle defensive walls that Mega Scizor cannot bypass while Mega Scizor itself does a lot in return using U-turn to generate momentum, Knock Off to rid walls of items, and use Bullet Punch to take on faster threats.

Regarding these my pick goes to Leader Wallace's Blaziken. A single misprediction from Mega Scizor's side lets Blaziken outspeed the entire party and Blaziken doesn't really fear anything from it and freely sets up Swords Dance. At +2, Blaziken can easily dispose of faster attackers that are meant to switch into Fire-type attacks for Scizor using +2 Inferno Overdrive, featuring KO on almost any partner paired with Scizor barring the likes of Tapu Fini. While I have personally nominated Toxapex due to the greater level of annoyance it causes, counterplay against teams with Blaziken is very hard to come by if one screws up in Team Preview and fail to predict right against it.

Victim of the Week 49 - Pheromosa

Up next we have the Lissome Pokemon, Pheromosa! Pheromosa has a decent offensive typing in Bug/Fighting and is one of the fastest Pokemon in the meta, which along with its good movepool, make it a fearsome threat. It also got a few new moves in USM, such as Drill Run and Shock Wave to help it get past some of its best counters. However, it has abysmal bulk and is vulnerable to most priority moves. So, how do you deal with this mon?

Simply by existing High Jump Kick becomes a huge nuisance to use and Pheromosa has a trouble fitting Drill Run or Throat Chop in the first place. Either of the mentioned moves will pop Weakness Policy, allowing uninvested Shadow Sneak to score OHKO on Pheromosa after Stealth Rock.

Compresses the role of Phero check, set up sweeper, and potential status spreader. Fiery Dance is cool for passive boosts, but you can utilise Bug Buzz + Swarm (which is great with Sub) for really decent power output after some boosts. Wisp is nice for catching obvious switches and aids setup against physical attackers if you don't want to fish for Flame Body (or using Swarm!), HP Ice gives important coverage on Mence / Chomp / Nite, HP Ground gives nice coverage against Heatran most notably. I was trying to come up with a clever spread but running enough speed for +speed Phero leaves too little bulk to switch in safely. Max bulky tanks the shit out of Phero though

now that this thing gets drill run aegislash, toxapex, and gengar aren't perfect counters anymore so it's pretty much impossible to hard counter pheromosa. Best ways to beat it are either outspeeding it, or killing it with priority.

As some one who uses Pheromosa a lot, this is probably the most splashable answer. Mimikyu resists and takes neutral damage from all of pheromosa’s coverage moves. It can set up Swords Dance or just ko with Shadow sneak or play rough.

Simply by existing High Jump Kick becomes a huge nuisance to use and Pheromosa has a trouble fitting Drill Run or Throat Chop in the first place. Either of the mentioned moves will pop Weakness Policy, allowing uninvested Shadow Sneak to score OHKO on Pheromosa after Stealth Rock.

Compresses the role of Phero check, set up sweeper, and potential status spreader. Fiery Dance is cool for passive boosts, but you can utilise Bug Buzz + Swarm (which is great with Sub) for really decent power output after some boosts. Wisp is nice for catching obvious switches and aids setup against physical attackers if you don't want to fish for Flame Body (or using Swarm!), HP Ice gives important coverage on Mence / Chomp / Nite, HP Ground gives nice coverage against Heatran most notably. I was trying to come up with a clever spread but running enough speed for +speed Phero leaves too little bulk to switch in safely. Max bulky tanks the shit out of Phero though

now that this thing gets drill run aegislash, toxapex, and gengar aren't perfect counters anymore so it's pretty much impossible to hard counter pheromosa. Best ways to beat it are either outspeeding it, or killing it with priority.

Scizor can switch in on any move that isnt hjk / focus mish and either pivot out with u-turn on a predicted switch or bp for the potential ko after any prior chip damage. Evs give you a good chance to kill with bp after a life orb hit or rocks damage, as well as a good chance to live z-focus mish.

Yea I'm definitely Voting for Jmal98's Mega-Scizor here. I've been using Mega-Scizor with a variety of different sets on a variety of different teams and I'm going to be honest. It puts in a lot of work on a majority of the games I use it in. It work extremely well right now even though it takes up a valuable mega slot. I would have voted for Can't says Volcarona but chances are if they are bringing Pheromosa they are bringing rocks for chip damage so Phero can OHKO mons.
