Buzzwole is the epitome of physical bulk, which allows it to be a strong pivot in STABmons. Its ridiculously high Defense makes it a great check to common physical breakers like Tyranitar, Excadrill, and Zeraora. While Buzzwole has incredible physical bulk, it's nearly as strong offensively. Thunderous Kick's Defense drops make Buzzwole difficult to switch into, and U-turn lets it gain momentum on the few Pokemon that can. Earthquake is a powerful coverage move that lets Buzzwole hit Toxapex, Blacephalon, and Gengar. The given Speed EVs allow it to outspeed offensive Rotom formes and offensive Tyranitar, while the Defense EVs ensure it is not OHKOed by a +2 Sunsteel Strike from Excadrill. Tornadus-T, Thundurus-T, and Volcarona are huge threats to Buzzwole, so be sure to pair it with a strong special wall like Tyranitar or Seismitoad.

slash rocky helmet as an option for Buzzwole, it's a way for balance builds with good removal to chip Urshifu, Seismitoad, Buzzwole, Crawdaunt, Excadrill, Zeraora, etc.
