art coming soon

For those wondering what NDFL means, National Dex Farm League is a tournament for those who did not go drafted in National Dex Premier League with a smaller amount of teams and slots.

Now, with NDFL I coming up (hosted by me and Clas), I would like to open a discussion on the format of the tournament, particularly the tiers to be played. In this tournament, we plan to have six teams with eight or six slots; here are some past tournaments that have been hosted for some reference:

Tiers from this year's World Cup:
NatDex OU x4
SS NatDex OU x2
NatDex Monotype
NatDex Ubers

Tiers from this year's Premier Leauge
NatDex OU x3
NatDex UU
NatDex RU
NatDex Monotype
NatDex Ubers
NatDex Doubles
SS NatDex OU x2

While this has ten slots, this can be compressed into eight or six slots; however it should be done is up to you.

Tiers to choose from:
NatDex OU
SS NatDex OU
NatDex UU
NatDex RU
NatDex DOU
NatDex Ubers
NatDex Monotype

Neither of these formats necessarily have to be used, and we're open to other suggestions as well. Please let us know your thoughts!
REMINDER: THERE ARE EIGHT OR SIX SLOTS! PLEASE POST FORMATS WITH EIGHT OR SIX SLOTS!

Ok without like too much brainpower usage here's what I think for 8 slots (8 slots > 10 slots imo):

SV NDOU
SV NDOU
SV NDOU
SS NDOU
SV NDUU
SV NDMonotype
SV NDUbers
SV NDDOU

But if we have to do 10, just do SV x4, SS x2 or SV x4 then add RU
Edit: Didn't see it was 8 confirmed, but if ever 10, the above is fine imo

SV ND Monotype
SV ND Ubers
SV ND Doubles

Ndou x2 supports more users to play the tour as the main Nat Dex tier is NDOU. Old gen helps old players (who were once top players during SS) to play the tour too. ND Mono is another great tier to support mono players. Nd doubles is from NDPL along with Ubers.

According to me, having 8 slots instead of 6 would be very good because then more players can play the tour and show their skills.

6x8 seems reasonable, given how many players were in NDPL.

2x SVOU
1x SSOU
1X SVUBERS
1X SVUU
1X SVRU
1X SVMONO
1X SVDOUBLES

I see no reason to exclude any NDPL format, unless signups are severely lacking, but with 6 team slots I doubt this will be an issue.

ubers pool is likely nonexistent
Don't get this one. Ubers is one of the biggest formats playerbase wise, and it's a farm league.

Doubles still has an excellent selection of players to pull from, I can easily give you 6 players who would be a very competitive field.

1x NatDex UU
1x NatDex DOU
1x NatDex Ubers
1x NatDex Monotype
1x NATDEX RU

edit: runo dont kill me

also 8 slots supreme given the ammount of signups we had for ndpl we should have no problem filling quality teams with that player pool

With there being little conflicting opinions about formats, here is the finalized format for National Dex Farm Leauge I:

2x NatDex OU
SS NatDex OU
NatDex UU
NatDex RU
NatDex DOU
NatDex Ubers
NatDex Monotype

Manager sign-ups will be posted shortly, so stay tuned for that!
