Soundtrack

The once verdant Seabreak Path now looks like a shade of its former self. Where flowers bloomed in a myriad colours, now you can only see withered plants, the lifeless shells that have been left behind by the miasma seeping all over the land. In the distance, you can hear the cry of a lone Mandibuzz, looking for any carcass lying around in the wasteland.

Unfortunately, it seems like the corruption has not spared the Flower Paradise itself, either. The Gracidea fields have been turned to dust, and any sign of life has long since disappeared from this land. However, mindful of your mission, you steel yourselves and proceed through the wasteland, heading deeper in the island where the dial lies.

Surprisingly, the dial still stands. A small patch of uncorrupted life surrounds it, as if the ancient building alone could keep off the corrupting miasma. As you approach it, however, a feminine laugh echoes in the air, sending chills down your spine.

"Foolish mortals. You and your kind are so predictable"

As you turn your eyes above, a dreadful shape materializes in the air.

"Look around yourself", she adds, with an ample gesture of her arm. "This is a picture of your future. This is the prelude of the Twilight".
You call forth your Pokemon allies in self-defense, but their attacks are easily blocked by the shadowy lady.
"I could extinguish your life in the space of an eyeblink if I wanted", she noted, with a gelid tone in her voice. Then, with a malevolent smile, she continues, "But where would be the enjoyment in it? Let me introduce you to a new acquaintance of mine..."
The ground beneath you starts shaking menacingly, while the tainted vines entwine into a large grove. As the grove opens wide, you find yourselves staring before who once was charged with the protection of this land... or rather, a shade of what he once was. Shaymin's foliage grew black and grey, and now its once jolly eyes burn with hatred and pain.

The evil creature of shadows disappears in the meanwhile, fading with the same rapidity with which she showed up, leaving you with the not-so-easy task of facing the twisted warden of Flower Paradise!

Should be a fairly straight forward 5 round shield break thanks to Heat Wave's taking out adds. Also no Glyph of Sludge Wave on Gengar for the adds? I think this should have Scizor safe in threat lead the whole way out other than action 1 then Shaymin hits a random too.
 
Round 1

Youma draws Shaymin's attention from the getgo with a venomous wave, letting the Fire-types go on the offense unscathed. The Grass-type foe falls for the lure, but since the Gengar seems to be way too flimsy for the hedgehog's powerful strikes, Imoji picks up the slack and bites the enemy furiously. Shaymin turns on the Scizor as expected, although the land blast still leaves a mark of the bug's metallic carapace.

Things are quickly beginning to become trickier, however, as several disturbed spirits rise to join Shaymin in its misguided defense of the defiled meadow. And at the same time, Flintlock seems to have been infected by a dangerous disease...

Just to clarify zarator, if Necrotic Plague is dispelled and the Pokemon who had it last targeted Shaymin with a contact attack where does it go? Does it just disappear as if the Pokemon had not used a contact attack?
 
deadfox081 Yes. Also another thing which may not be as obvious - the plague only checks who you attacked with a contact move, not whether the move was effective or not. If you use Mach Punch on a Phantump before being dispelled, for example, Phantump will still catch the Plague even if Mach Punch did no damage. However, if Phantump is in the evasive stage of a move it won't be able to get the plague.

Okay so I think what should happen here is Phantump 3 definitely lives a Faint Attack and Chandy's Heat Wave action 1 then definitely get the curse and definitely dies. Meanwhile Phantump 1 is blasted away by all 3 heat waves and Phantump 2 ends action 1 with enough HP to live everyones contact moves so we can give it the plague so it dies from plague action 2 and we get 300 damage plague for trev. Of course this all screws if Castform gets the plague then we have to kill everything the old fashioned way. If the plan works then Volc takes 1 hit from Phantump 2 (which is likely Rock Slide) and Chandy takes 2 hits from Phantump 3. These are less than ideal and both will hurt but not much more we can do? We don't even have time for screens.
 
Round 2

The team keeps attacking Shaymin, letting the sheer heat and the plague taking care of the phantoms. However, Shaymin seems to strengthen progressively as the plague spreads... and a much more dangerous ghost emerges from the surrounding corruption!

Hey zara there will be significantly less dilly dallying before orders this time but just wanted to check whether you have ruled that Shaymin can't be trapped in Fire Spin by two different sources? Because Mollux also used it in round 1. I'm not sure how this behaves elsewhere in ASB or in game, but I guess even that 8 extra damage is potentially important to us.
 
I've talked to others on IRC and the general consensus was that you can't stack Fire Spin on same target. However I agree this could be made explicit somewhere in the rules.

Round 3

Burst tries to keep Trevenant busy while the plague finishes it off, but the ghastly tree retaliates with violent quakes which greatly injure the team. Nevertheless, the plague eventually wears it out, but more vengeful phantoms take its place!
