In the generation 2 teambuilder, if you have hidden power on a pokemon, and you removed it for a non-hidden power move, it doesn't automatically reset the DVs on the pokemon to max like it does for future generations, often resulting in the player missing the reduced dvs and playing at an inherent disadvantage in battle.
For example, if I had an Exeggutor with Giga Drain and I wanted to swap it out for Hidden Power Fire, the DVs would reduce as appropriate. However, if I wanted to revert it back to Giga Drain, I would have to manually reset the DVs back to maximum.
I think this should be pretty simple to implement since it already exists for future generations.
