Rain Dance Team

I built this team around Jolteon because it is my favorite pokemon.
Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
EV: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpA
Moveset:
Scald | Focus Blast | Toxic | Ice Beam
Note: The heart and center of the rain dance team. With its hidden ability, Drizzle, I don't have to waste a turn to use Rain Dance, instead whenever it comes into battle it starts raining. With Damp Rock as its item the rain will last a couple more turns giving me more of an advantage. I tested around with Politoeds a little and found that they never stick around too long. So I thought these moves would be good with it for the time it is in battle. I chose Scald to get STAB and a possible chance of burning my opponent, Focus Blast to take out Mega-Khan and Blissey, Toxic helps take down walls, and Ice Beam to take out Ground which is Jolteon's only weakness, also to take out Dragon, Flying and Grass too. I didn't like Perish Song or Encore, which some people prefer, when testing Politoed out. I am new to the competitive scene and it is hard to guess what is going to happen or what moves the Pokemon has.
Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Tmid (+Spe, -Atk)
EV: 252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
Moveset:
Volt Switch | Thunder | Shadow Ball | Hidden Power (Ice)
Note: My favorite Pokemon of all time! The team is built around him! Incredibly fast and with Choice Specs, it packs a punch. I usually have Jolteon as the lead and Volt Switch him out. Volt Switch is one of my favorite moves ever. It does a good amount of damage, so the next Pokemon can take care of the rest. I chose Thunder over Thunderbolt because it's always going to be raining and will have 100% accuracy and along with Choice Specs it will do a ton of more damage than Tunderbolt. Shadow Ball and HP Ice are to take out what the other 2 moves can't do. Dragons have always been a problem and HP Ice will usually do the job, especially against a Garchomp, doing 4x damage. I have Shadow Ball because most Psychics have high Special Defense making it hard for Thunder or Thunderbolt to do much. I rather have Signal Beam because it cover Dark and Psychic, but unfortunately Jolteon cannot learn it yet. I chose Choice Specs over Life Orb because I felt that Jolteon was too weak to take on additional damage and found it more useful on another Pokemon on my team.
Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EV: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 HP
Moveset:
Bullet Seed | Mach Punch | Spore | Swords Dance
Note: I found that this will be good to pair with Jolteon since it is resistant to Jolteon's only weakness, Ground. Then with high speed it can take out the Ground type with Bullet Seed boosted by technician. Technician makes Bullet Seed and Mach Punch great moves for Breloom getting a 50% boost. With Mach Punch being a priority move, it takes out Mega-Khan or Mega-Lucario. Spore to sleep the Pokemon, so I can Swords Dance and make him gain attack and attempt to sweep with Breloom. I also thought Focus Sash would be a good item because Breloom is very fragile. If I used Swords Dance first turn and survive, Breloom becomes a big threat. I chose this over Mega-Scizor with Technician for now to just test it out. Both make a great pair with Jolteon being resistant to Ground. The only difference I see is that Mega-Scizor can take out Fairies which haven't been a threat to me yet.
Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EV: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP
Moveset:
Draco Meteor | Hydro Pump | Ice Beam | Outrage
Note: I have never used this pokemon before, but after looking at its stats and ability, I thought Kingdra would make a great addition. I was torn between choosing this or Mega-Gyarados. I need a Mega on my team since I didn't choose Scizor for this team. I really don't know much about this Pokemon, but that it has amazing speed in the rain due to its ability. It can out-speed almost anything, but a problem is that its move pool isn't to great. It does a great job taking out Mega-Charizard, Volcarona and Talonflame which seem to be popular in this game. If I use it right it makes a great special sweeper.
Salamence @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
Nature: Naive (+Spe, -SpD)
EV: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpA
Moveset:
Fire Blast | Earthquake | Dragon Claw| Brick Break
Note:
Salamence is my second favorite Pokemon, so I had to throw it in here. Also, I needed a good Flying type to Volt Switch into just in case I am facing a Ground type. I could not think of a good Flying type that doesn't do bad in the rain (i.e. Charizard or Talonflame) and since it is my 2nd favorite I thought it would be a suitable fit. During late game with Choice Scarf, Moxie and Dragon Claw STAB, Salamence will sweep the game. I was also torn between choosing this or Mega-Gyarados. Between 2 slots I had to pick between Kingdra, Salamence, and Gyarados. Since I decided on Kingra because of Swift Swim I had the water I needed and went with Salamence. Although it might be bad because I have 2 dragon on my team.

Note:

Kabutops @ Expert Belt
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EV: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 HP
Moveset:
Stone Edge | Swords Dance | Rapid Spin | Waterfall
Note: Another Swift Swim Pokemon. If you haven't noticed yet, I like fast. This was difficult to fill my last spot. I need a psychical attacker and after some research I thought Kabutops was perfect! Just like Kingdra, in the rain it will not be out-sped. I ran out of item choices, so I thought Expert Belt was a great fit making Super Effective attacks do 20% more damage. It doesn't have that much of good move coverage, but it does hit hard when it is super effective. It also have great defense, so I can Swords Dance to boost him up and try to be a physical sweeper. Stone Edge take out Talonflame or Charizard doing 4x damage to them. It also does great taking out Garchomp and Volcarona.
Side Note: I do not claim or own these images. I found these off the internet and all rights and credit go to those people, thank you!
