Moves
========

Earthquake has great coverage with the help of Mold Breaker, allowing Excadrill to hit Rotom-W, Gengar, and the rare Bronzong for super effective damage, as well as Latios and Latias for neutral damage. Iron Head deals more damage to Fairy-types such as Clefable, Sylveon, and Mega Gardevoir. Rock Slide has great coverage alongside Earthquake and hits Flying-types such as Talonflame, Thundurus, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Tornadus-T, and Gyarados. Nothing else in Excadrill's movepool provides extra coverage, so Rapid Spin is the best option in the last slot, as it allows Excadrill to remove entry hazards, but it is a huge momentum killer. Toxic can also be used to cripple Landorus-T, Hippowdon, and Mega Sableye.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment allows Excadrill to hit as hard as possible, while a Jolly nature allows it to outspeed threats such as Mega Altaria at +1, Adamant Mega Charizard X at +1, Feraligatr and Gyarados at +1, Mega Alakazam, Mega Manectric, Mega Lopunny, Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Beedrill, and Choice Scarf Hoopa-U. Mold Breaker helps ease prediction, as then Pokemon with Levitate cannot avoid Earthquake, and makes Excadrill able to bypass Magic Bounce if you choose to run Toxic.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Scarf Excadrill is mainly a late-game cleaner and revenge killer, as it lacks the power that Life Orb Excadrill has and can find itself stopped by common bulky threats such as Hippowdon and Mega Scizor. Excadrill works best when these threats and Pokemon immune to Ground are weakened or removed so that it can spam Earthquake freely. Excadrill is also capable of revenge killing threats such as Mega Altaria at +1, Adamant Mega Charizard X at +1, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Aerodactyl. Earthquake is a very spammable move coupled with Mold Breaker, which means Excadrill should try to remove Flying-types outside of Skarmory and Landorus-T with Rock Slide on predicted switches. Iron Head should be used against Fairy-types such as Clefable, Sylveon, and Mega Gardevoir; however, Gardevoir only needs a small amount of prior damage for Earthquake to OHKO it. As Rapid Spin is a complete momentum killer and allows everything in the tier to switch in safely and set up, it should only be used against the likes of Clefable, against which Excadrill can bluff a specially defensive set. Toxic should be used on predicted Landorus-T and Hippowdon switch-ins to cripple them.

Team Options
========

Excadrill is walled by the likes of Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, Hippowdon, and Amoonguss, so wallbreakers such as Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Alakazam, and Life Orb Tornadus-T are good partners for it and it provides entry hazard removal for Kyurem-B and Tornadus-T in return. Talonflame can beat Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, and Mega Scizor, and it can provide a way to revenge kill faster Choice Scarf users such as Keldeo. In return Excadrill covers Rock-types and Rotom-W with Earthquake and can revenge kill Electric-types such as Raikou, Mega Manectric, and Thundurus. Excadrill can also provide Rapin Spin support, but it is quite unreliable. Water-types such as Manaphy, Keldeo, and Azumarill can beat the bulky Ground-types that wall Excadrill such as Hippowdon, Landorus-T, and Garchomp, while Excadrill can handle Electric-types for them. Manaphy is an exceptionally good teammate, as it is capable of luring in Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss and hitting them with Psychic while also beating bulky Water-types with Energy Ball. Power Herb Heatran is capable of luring out Pokemon that can handle Excadrill such as Slowbro and Manaphy while also being able to pressure Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Skarmory. Electric-types such as Magnezone, Raikou, Thundurus, and Mega Manectric can handle bulky Water-types as well as beat Skarmory. They are also able to help Excadrill switch in safely with Volt Switch, as it lacks the bulk to switch into most neutral attacks. Grass-types such as Serperior, Celebi, Mega Venusaur, and Breloom can handle the Water- and Ground-types that can stop Excadrill.

my mind is actually going completely blank at more team options for this set, if anybody knows any more good ones that'd be very helpful.

im just going to move this to qc since everything is ready otherwise.

Since you asked: Tran (primarily magma storm although spdef with toxic is ok too) as a good team option for smacking bulky shit like bro and hippos that stay in (solar beam also being solid to lure keld) while pressuring skarm and venu

tbh spin is one of the few appealings this set has in my eyes

Rock Slide hits birds such as Talon, thundy, zard y, dnite, and gyara
Add Tornadus-T to this list

Talonflame can shut down Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, Mega Scizor and also provide a way to revenge kill Choice Scarf Keldeo, while Excadrill beats most Rock-types and shuts down Rotom-W. It also provides Rapid Spin support, though it isn't the most reliable spinner.
I wouldn't say shuts down is the right term there. Just say it hits it super effectively with Mold Breaker Earthquake. In fact not only should you mention Rotom-W here, but also other Electrics that threaten Talonflame such as Raikou and Mega Manectric.
Water-types such as Manaphy, Keldeo and Azumarill can beat the Ground-types that wall Excadrill such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Hippowdon, while Excadrill checks Electric-types for them.
Do note here that Keldeo is also able to take on Mega Scizor. Psychic Manaphy should be emphasized here as it not only beats bulky grounds, but also Amoonguss and Mega Venusaur.
Power Herb Heatran can lure out and pressure the mons that can shut down excadrill

electrics and grass types for fat waters
Make sure to add example to these. i.e Power Herb Heatran lures in Pokemon such as Slowbro and Manaphy. Make Electric- and Grass-types separate points, they accomplish different things. Electrics should also be used to take out Skarmory in addition to bulky waters. Mons like Rotom-W, Raikou and Mega Manectric provide momentum to bring in Scarf Exca safely with Volt Switch, so add those.

thanks this is now implemented

damn, single set analyses are pretty quick to write up. Ready for the last check

What BKC said more or less.

Manaphys a good team-mate cause it breaks fat waters with Energy Ball as well not just for lure purposes, who are the foundation of Scarf Exca checks outside of Skarmory on defensive minded teams.

You're good for 3/3 flegg.

thanks, implemented this

also about the second green point: I'm not gonna bother adding "and KOing" because it doesn't OHKO all Water-types, especially the more threatening ones
