Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Landorus-Therian is an almost perfect partner to this core for quite a number of reasons. The main one being that it forms a fantastic dual-Intimidate Volt-Turn core along with Mega Manectric, which can severely weaken physical attackers. Landorus-T can also set up Stealth Rock, turning most 2HKO's into OHKO's for both Mega Manectric and Weavile, making it easier them to wall-break.

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

Garchomp sets up Stealth Rock to wear down threats to the core while putting Quagsire and Unaware Clefable on a timer because of Toxic. STAB Earthquake, even when uninvested, still hits Zard-X, Excadrill and Heatran hard while Dragon Tail phazes out foes that try to set-up on Garchomp. Mega Manectric also loves switching in on Skarmory which walls Garchomp while Hippowdon is easy prey for Weavile. Even with Garchomp, the core still loses to Mega Venusaur and Kyurem-B (although the latter can be worn down with Rocks). Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet also wears down physical attackers such as Gyarados and Mega Beedrill so that they can be picked off by Weavile and Mega Manectric later on.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off

Slowbro is a good partner for this core. Indeed, it can beat 1vs1 Lopunny-Mega, Defensive Charizard X, Rhyperior, Excadrill, Swampert, (Scarf) Heatran, Sylveon and AV Conkeldurr It also lures out Defensive Venusaur-Mega (at + 0, Psyshock does 30~36% so Venusaur doesn't care if Slowbro isn't a CM version; in return Giga Drain against a +1 Slowbro does 38~45%). Furthermore, it can wear down Quagsire and Clefable with Scald s'burn.

This core struggles with fatter cores and pokemon that rely on recovery to slowly beat Mega Manectric and Weavile. Especially bulkier fairies, setup sweepers and Mega Venusaur are individual threats. However, cores like Keldeo + Bisharp, Skarmory + Chansey and Keldeo + Scarf Lando-T are also very threatening to this core. Nominating the same pokemon as 3 weeks ago
707.gif

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Play Rough
- Heal Block
We all know how threatening Spikes + Mega Manectric can be and I think Klefki is the best offensive Spike setter to pair up with this core. Heal Block to beat Mega Venusaur, Bulky Altaria, Clefable, Chansey, Skarmory and other pokemon that rely on recovery to beat the core. Thunder Wave gives the core an emergency check to threatening setup sweepers like DD Mega Gyarados, DD Mega Altaria and Hawlucha. Max SpD so Klefki is a better switchin to threats like Kyurem-B, Mega Venusaur and Flamethrower Klefki and Play Rough is a nice option to hit Mega Sableye, who can also be threatening for this core.

gengar.gif

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Non of the previously mentioned mons can switch into his attacks. Offensive pokemon don't appreciate coming in on a shadow ball. Clefable and Sylveon both get blown back by sludge wave. Conk can be beat by a Gengar+Manectric combo if you play right and volt switch on the predicted drain punch. Venusaur can get worn down with taunt and sludge waves. If Gyarados comes in, taunt is your best play, especially if SR are up. If he just attacks and doesn't set up, then you can revenge kill with Weavile if he mega evolved, or just t-bolt with Manectric. If you taunt the DD, great. Now you can switch to Manectric to get an intimidate off, or click sludge wave, or be a man and focus blast on his predicted mega evolve and kill it.

Alright new week. This week I asked AM for a core and he gave me this before posting it in the good cores thread:

slurpuff.gif

Slurpuff @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
Happiness: 0
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Drain Punch
- Frustration
- Belly Drum

hawlucha.gif

Hawlucha @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hi Jump Kick
- Acrobatics
- Substitute
- Swords Dance

"This was the core I mentioned earlier that ben floored me with during a test game we had. Works best on volt-turn cores with partners such as Raikou, something to help handle M-Metagross and M-Scizor, Azumarill in general. After that the focus would be to utilize the pressure of both unburden users setting up to force switches into counters while taking advantage of these switches. I personally use Aromatherapy on Slurpuff for team needs and Drain Punch on Hawlucha to maintain longevity. Partners I use include Thundurus and Lucario on a Hyper Offensive build. Enjoy."

I went ahead and removed the slashes, keeping Frustration on Slurpuff for simplicity's sake.

scizor.gif

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / Pursuit
- Superpower

Banded Scizor can switch into Slurpuff even after a Belly Drum (not recommended as it'll be quite damaged at this point) and OHKO it with Bullet Punch. Hawlucha is a bit harder to deal with. Scizor can't reliably switch into Hawlucha's as it'll only have a 18.75% chance to survive Hawlucha's HJK at +2, a 4.25% chance to survive two unboosted HJKs and a 50% chance to OHKO Hawlucha at 75% health (after two subs and the Sitrus Berry). However, it's a lot easier to deal with both of them if Scizor is given a free switch against them.
+6 244 Atk Slurpuff Drain Punch vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 234-276 (68.2 - 80.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 368-434 (119.4 - 140.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 168-198 (48.9 - 57.7%) -- 95.7% chance to 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 334-394 (97.3 - 114.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 205-243 (68.3 - 81%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Steel Wing

Choice Band Talonflame doesn't care about how many Unburden boosts the core has accumulated as it can use priority Brave Bird to OHKO both mons if Rocks are up. Steel Wing allows you to screw Mega Diancie while other moves are obvious.

UNAWARE CLEFABLE

250px-036Clefable.png

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Moonlight
- Heal Bell

Easy, Unaware Clefable ignore's both of those mon's boost. Avoids any sort of 2HKO. Spam Moonblast and recovery and therefore RIP Core.

VS Slurpuff:
244 Atk Slurpuff Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Clefable: 93-111 (23.6 - 28.2%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 12 HP / 0 SpD Slurpuff: 124-147 (40.2 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

VS Hawlucha:
252 Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Clefable: 126-148 (32 - 37.6%) -- 0.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (Clefable disapproves)

0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 12 HP / 0 SpD Hawlucha: 288-338 (96 - 112.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO (Rest in peace Hawlucha, we loved you.)

Quagsire says hi!!

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Bullet Punch

Can easily switch into Slurpuff since it's not OHKoed by any move, even +6 Belly Drum :

+6 252+ Atk Slurpuff Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 182-215 (60.4 - 71.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Also switches in Hawlucha since without an Adamant nature, it cannot OHKO it with +2 HJK :

+2 252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 235-277 (78 - 92%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

And this probably goes without saying, but MMeta easily OHKOs both members of the core with its SE STABs :

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 482-570 (156.4 - 185%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Zen Headbutt vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 476-564 (158.6 - 188%) -- guaranteed OHKO

It even has a good chance finish Slurpuff off with Bullet Punch if it Belly Drums on the switch, without even needing to take a +6 Drain Punch:

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Bullet Punch vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 216-254 (70.1 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So yeah, this thing completely destroys both members of this core.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic

Quagsire walls both Slurpuff and Hawlucha easily because of Unaware and slowly beats them with Toxic or Scald burns. Not much else I can say about it.

252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 135-159 (34.2 - 40.3%) -- 40.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Slurpuff Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 85-102 (21.5 - 25.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

alakazam-2.gif

Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Thunder Wave
- Encore

Alakazam obviously can not switch in on either of these Pokemon, but it can easily handle them both. He can encore the setup moves (Sub/BD/SD) and proceed to kill, or he can thunder wave them and neuter them for the rest of the game, as well as taking them both out pretty easily. Granted, if Hawlucha has a Sub up, it becomes an issue.

Obvious calcs are obvious:
252 SpA Alakazam Psychic vs. 8 HP / 0 SpD Hawlucha: 440-522 (147.1 - 174.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Alakazam Psychic vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Slurpuff: 192-226 (62.7 - 73.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

He takes Hawlucha out without any issues, and minimally t-wave + severely damages Slurpuff, allowing it to be easily revenge killed.

Why does Alakazam have Unware? Shouldn't it be Magic Guard?

Weezing LOL

110.gif

#420smokeweed (Weezing) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Clear Smog / Sludge Bomb
- Fire Blast
- Will-O-Wisp / Pain Split

Literally switches into both with zero repercussions and beats them both outright. +2 Acrobatics from Hawlucha does nothing and Weezing is able of crippling with Will-O-Wisp or Clear Smog. Same deal with Slurpuff, switches into Belly Drum / Play Rough / Drain Punch easily and lives a +6 Return, and retaliates with Clear Smog or Will-O-Wisp. Pretty cool mon that I've been using lately as a counter to Mega Altaria as well so yeah, set probably isn't optimal, tell me if there's a better one!

Calcs:
+2 252 Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 180-213 (54 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
0 SpA Weezing Sludge Bomb vs. 12 HP / 0 SpD Hawlucha: 124-147 (41.3 - 49%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
244 Atk Slurpuff Return vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 51-61 (15.3 - 18.3%) -- possible 8HKO after Black Sludge recovery
+6 244 Atk Slurpuff Return vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 202-238 (60.6 - 71.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
IV: 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Toxic
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Doublade doesn't care about both Pokemon's attacks (even when boosted) and can 2HKO them with Gyro Ball.

+2 252 Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Doublade: 66-78 (20.4 - 24.2%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (136 BP) vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 202-238 (67.3 - 79.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 223-264 (74.3 - 88%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 252 Atk Slurpuff Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Doublade: 99-117 (30.7 - 36.3%) -- 62% chance to 3HKO
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (99 BP) vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 264-312 (85.7 - 101.2%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 398-470 (129.2 - 152.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

EDIT: Thanks, GnralLao . I forgot to change the IV on the calculator.

Your Gyro Ball calcs are wrong, but in your favor actually (I still don't know how you got 96 and 70 BP though). When their Unburden ability is activated, Doublade's Gyro Ball will reach 150 BP on both of them and will OHKO Slurpuff and KO Hawlucha at 75% health (two subs + Sitrus Berry).

4 Atk Doublade Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 223-264 (74.3 - 88%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I think he used the numbers without accounting for the Unburden boost.

slowbro-mega.gif

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock / Thunder Wave
- Slack Off

+6 252 Atk Slurpuff Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 220-259 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 252 Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 292-345 (74.1 - 87.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 SpA Mega Slowbro Psyshock vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 276-326 (92 - 108.6%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
4 SpA Mega Slowbro Scald vs. 12 HP / 0 SpD Slurpuff: 138-163 (44.8 - 52.9%) -- 26.6% chance to 2HKO

Slurpuff fails to OHKO at +6 while Scald does 50% leaving Slurpuff at only 25%. Slowbro can eventually run Thunder Wave to slow Slurpuff down. However, it will still be outsped the next turn so unless Slurpuff gets paralyzed, it will be able to kill Slowbro. Psyshock OHKOs Hawlucha while Scald 2hko's. In return, even a +2 itemless Acrobatics won't 2hko Mega Slowbro (1.2% after rocks).

skarmory.gif

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
-Roost
-Counter
-Brave Bird
-Whirlwind

+6 244 Atk Slurpuff Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 133-157 (39.8 - 47%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 190-225 (56.8 - 67.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 272-324 (90.6 - 108%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Physically defensive Skarm can take hits from both mons (even when boosted). It can use Counter to KO or severely damage Slurpuff and can phaze out Hawlucha or KO it with Brave Bird if rocks are up.

tumblr_n63m62dK8Q1rc0cy9o1_500.gif

Warrior (Scizor) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off

Mega Scizor laughs at them both lol. Let's say it switches into a +6 Slurpuff. +6 Drain Punch doesn't OHKO (in fact it has a chance to not 2HKO even!), and Mega Scizor uses Swords Dance. A +2 Bullet Punch then takes Slurpuff out. Then Hawlucha comes in, High Jump Kick doesn't kill from that range, and Mega Scizor finishes Hawlucha off with two Bullet Punches. ezpz. Facing off +2 Hawlucha is kind of annoying however, as High Jump Kick does a lot.

+2 252 Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 225-265 (65.5 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 244 Atk Slurpuff Drain Punch vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 157-185 (45.7 - 53.9%) -- 46.9% chance to 2HKO
+2 44 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Slurpuff: 432-510 (141.1 - 166.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 44 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Hawlucha: 241-285 (80.3 - 95%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

pinsir-mega.gif

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

Quick Attack allows Mega Pinsir to OHKO Hawlucha after Stealth Rock damage, bypassing it's higher Speed. Pinsirite also OHKOes Slurpuff with Return if the latter hasn't obtained the Unburden boost.
