[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf allows Roaring Moon to outspeed and defeat threatening foes to Dragon-type teams such as Choice Specs Greninja and Flutter Mane. Knock Off aids Roaring Moon in removing items from Pokemon that can reliably switch into it such as Heavy-Duty Boots from Corviknight and Leftovers from Great Tusk while also obliterating Gholdengo as well as a prominent threat in Flutter Mane. Iron Head allows Roaring Moon to combat Fairy-type Pokemon that are able to switch into both of its STAB moves such as Iron Valiant, Enamorus, and Alolan Ninetales. U-turn allows Roaring Moon to retain momentum in battles by pivoting out of common switch-ins such as Skarmory, Hippowdon, and the aforementioned Corviknight.
Choice Specs Kyurem forms a great offensive core with Roaring Moon, as it can reliably take out Pokemon that switch into Roaring Moon easily, such as the aforementioned Steel- and Ground-type physical walls in Skarmory, Corviknight, Great Tusk, and Hippowdon. In return, Roaring Moon grants Kyurem safe entry against passive Pokemon with U-turn while also taking out faster Fairy-type threats such as Flutter Mane and Iron Valiant. Archaludon is a great defensive teammate for Roaring Moon, as it is able to sponge physical attacks from Ogerpon-H, Meowscarada, and Scizor, while Roaring Moon is able to take out threatening special attackers that can take advantage of Archaludon like Gholdengo. Archaludon also provides entry hazard support in Stealth Rock while also threatening Chien-Pao and Kingambit with Body Press. Dragapult is another offensive teammate capable of spreading status in Will-O-Wisp, neutering threats such as offensive Great Tusk and Zamazenta, which alleviates pressure on Roaring Moon's breaking capabilities. Hisuian Goodra is another defensive teammate that pairs well with Roaring Moon, as it can readily take special Ice- and Fairy-type attacks from speedier threats like Choice Scarf Greninja and Choice Scarf Flutter Mane while also being able to phaze setup sweepers such as Dragon Dance Dragapult with Dragon Tail. Gouging Fire in tandem with Roaring Moon work together to sweep opposing teams, whether it be Roaring Moon removing items and weakening foes for Gouging Fire to clean up or Gouging Fire setting up early and breaking through teams to allow Roaring Moon to sweep with the appropriate coverage late-game.
