MAMP's Multi-Meta Mashup Minitour
Welcome to MAMP's Multi-Meta Mashup Mini-Tour, a tournament inspired by Snaquaza's Multi-Meta Mini-Tour from XY.
This will be a Double Elimination tournament with a twist. When you sign up, you must also include a metagame in your signup post. This metagame can be anything, as plain or as wacky as you like. You can submit just a vanilla OM like AAA or Middle Cup, a mashup of two or more OMs like Sketchmons 1v1, or a UU/Ubers/LC/Doubles/Monotype/old gen version of a metagame. You can even submit things like 'Balanced Hackmons with Shell Smash banned', or 'Mix and Mega except every Pokemon has to be a different colour'. Be creative! There are however a few guidelines you must follow:
- The metagame must be playable either on the main Showdown server or on rom.psim.us, or through custom game
- The rules must be easily enforcable. Something like '1v1 except you have to play blindfolded' is not allowed
- Don't just throw a bunch of shit together. I don't want to see anything like 'DPP NU Stabmons Monotype No Status Suicide Cup.' Be a bit more creative
- It must actually be an OM; you may not submit OU
- 1v1 metas are Bo5, random metas are bo7
- Only submit one metagame!
- No duplicates
- I reserve the right to reject your submission if it's really stupid
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
- Rounds will last for 1 week
- Provide replays
- Double elim, Bo1 (you can do Bo3 if you both agree)
- How to schedule
- General Tournament Rules tl;dr dont get ghosted, if you time out thats ur fault
Q: How is the banlist for the metagame determined?
A: In the case of mashup metas, just combine the banlists of the metas involved (e.g in Sketchmons Middle Cup the banlist is everything banned in Sketchmons + everything banned in Middle Cup). For other variant OMs that don't have an established banlist, the banlist will just be the banlist of the base meta unless there's something really obviously and egregiously broken, in which case I will ban it. If you want to include a banlist in your submission, you may do so.
Signups will be open for a week or until we get 64 people. Don't forget to inclue a metagame in your signup post!
